Notes on accommodation: Well-behaved pets by arrangement. No smoking in house but permitted on balcony. Garage next to utility room on ground floor with full sized table tennis. Outside: Woodland garden with stables and parking for 5/6 cars. Patio area below balcony with BBQ and garden furniture. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and iron board etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels, linen utilities included. Maid service available if required. Other: Balcony with sun loungers and table for 10. Family room with PS2/TV/Space invaders!

Great house

We stayed here for one night at the weekend and had a great time. The house was a great size and the family/living area was lovely with a fabulous balcony. The house was very clean on arrival and the owner was really helpful when we needed assistance with various things. I would highly recommend this house for a large group of friends or family.

Beautiful home and a magical trip!!

When me and my university friends decided to book a trip we were really excited looking into Tweed Rig! The photos on the website looked beautiful and the price was totally reasonable! In fact when we first believed we would not be able to afford the home Debbie was lovely enough to offer us a reduced rate! She was always very speedy with responses and super helpful, couldn't have asked for a better host. When we got to the house the place was spotless and the pictures don't do it justice, the view was incredible from the balcony and we enjoyed a lovely BBQ on our first evening. Since we had 16 of us, Debbie put out spare beds and those were very comfortable for fold-outs! We all really enjoyed our stay at Tweed Rig and would definitely look into revisiting next summer, if you're looking for a beautiful home in a stunning landscape then this is definitely the place for you!

Beautiful house and spectacular views

Great house, really well stocked, beautifully laid out with lots of bathrooms (great for lots of ladies getting ready!) and a fantastic living space - huge dining table, big kitchen and ample space in the lounge for us all. Balcony was an absolute sun trap most of the day, perfect for brekkie right through to an evening BBQ. Perfect hen house with loads of suggestions available from the host. Would definitely recommend for other hens!

Couldn't be better

I booked Tweed Rig for a family weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday and retirement. the house was amazing - well equipped and beautifully furnished with amazing views over the surrounding countryside. The only downside was the last 100 metres of the approach track which was a bit steep and rough.

Unfortunately the rain can damage the last stretch of road up the hill...we do our best to keep in a fair condition. Hopefully the beautiful views Tweed Rig offers made up for it ;)

Hilltop Heaven

This spacious, well appointed house suited our needs perfectly. The view over Gattonside, across the Tweed and on to Melrose and the Eildons was breathtaking. Surrounded by trees, just coming into leaf and birds full of Spring song, it was a wonderful 3 days. Plenty of walks, many games of table tennis and delicious food in Melrose and Gattonside. Thank you.
