House in El Cotillo, Village Location - With 2 Harbours, Shops, Bars And Restaurants And 5 Mins Walk To The Lagoon Beach

The house is set over 3 levels with a central staircase giving access to the private roof terrace, On the ground floor is a large separate kitchen fully equipped with all the mod cons, a cloakroom and a large airy lounge/diner with tables chairs and sofas plus various furniture cabinets, TV, VHS, DVD and a safe. On the first floor are two bedrooms one with a kingsized bed and one with twin beds and there is a large family bathroom with separate bath and shower cubicle, then on the second floor is the third bedroom a snall double bedroom with a small balcony and the large private roof terrace, this is for your sole use - nobody else has access to this, it has a table with 4 chairs and varous sun loungers with cushions for your leisure to enjoy the sun, peace and tranquility of this idyllic location. Views are over the village and you can see the sea to the west and the mountains to the right. Enjoy this private space to top up your tan or read a book and enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple, in the evening you can watch the stars from up here with a meal made by yourself or purchased from the local shops - Absolute Heaven!

Notes on accommodation: This modern house is set over 3 levels, including the roof terrace, parking outside is very accessible and the local bus terminal is only 5 minutes walk away, a bus into Coralejo town takes 50 minutes where you will find a market twice a week, a water park, zoo and high street shops and restaurants, or to the Capital Puerto del Rosario is 50 minutes where there is a large new shopping mall called the Rotunda or to the airport is approx an hours bus ride away. There is a Fiesta in August usually held in the second week, great if you are young enough to enjoy it and join in as the entertainment goes on til the early hours, if not your cup of tea then avoid mid August - also temperatures raise to 40+ in July and August and drop to mid 20's in the winter. A great get away and only 4 hrs flying from the UK. Outside: We are easy to find, situated on the road that takes you down to the Lagoon beaches (Avenida Los Lagos) and very near to the two harbours with their lovely restaurants and bars and of course we are only a short walk to the lagoon beaches where a beach bar supplies hot and cold food every day on the Lagoon Beach and a new beach bar on Surf Beach also provides hot and cold food and drinks. A large supermarket has now been built at the top of the road as you enter the village for all your continental and local produce with freshly baked bread on site and a butchers and deli therein. Plus we have local shops and bars very close by just a few minutes walk away. Wind surfing equipment and lessons and bikes can be hired locally too, so if you feel the need to exercise or try something new you can. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and bed linen are included in rental and changed mid week, longer stays will also have a weekly clean. A hairdryer/defuser is also there for your personal use, Beach towels are also supplied, we can also provide airport transfers to the house. Other: Nice private roof terrace on the top floor with table and chairs and sun loungers with cushions for your sole use, enjoy outdoor dining and the starry sky above and views over the local village and you can also see the sea to the west and the mountains eastward

Super two weeks holiday

Our first visit to Fuerteventura and hopefully it won't be the last. . The house was super everything we needed even the beach towels were supplied and our own sunroof was a bonus.Near the beach and within easy walking distance to all the local restaurants we ate out every night . A small supermarket opposite was great for what we needed the fresh bread every morning was delicious and the staff were so helpful

We would recommend both the property and El Cottilo it was for us a really super holiday even better than we imagined.

Central home and cosy

This two bedroomed house was exactly as advertised, nicely furnished and plenty of room for my husband and I. We have always been lucky with places we have stayed and we were very lucky with this one.

Jane the owner was very good in emailing and if we needed to ask any questions she was available. We have been to El Cotilla a few times but never stayed in the village. Plenty of good restaurants and bars and cafés . One of our favourite cafés which had just opened the week we arrived El Mentidero owned by a lovely young couple.(on Facebook)

If you need a hairdresser go to Peluqueria owned by Nicola who is German and living here a long time.

I would be happy to recommend this lovely house and we hope to return next year. Thank you Jane for sharing your lovely house.

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

We are less than 5 minutes walk from both of the local harbours which have many restaurants and bars to chose from, fresh local fish is on the menu every day and a 5 minute walk to the local beaches also known as the lagoons. You can drive to the beaches if you have lots of equipment as there is a large free car park, plus a lovely beach bar for your lunch time snacks, or early evening dinner to sit and watch the sun go down.

Travel:

The airport is a 40 minute drive away and is on the opposite side of the island, so you will not get the continual flights over head as you do in Calletta and other areas on the east coast. Car hire is available from the airport, or can be arranged locally if you take advantage of our airport transfer service which only costs 40 euros. I can arrange for airport transfers directly to and from the house if required. Once in the village you do not need a car as everything is in walking distance.

Distances:

El Cotillo is generally a quiet village, but if you want busy night life and hustle and bustle then Corallejo is only a short 20 min bus ride or drive away, situated at the North of the Island, here you will find a small zoo and a nice water park, plus a market held twice a week and a high street full of everything you can dream of buying. Plus the night life of bars and clubs for the young at heart, then you can leave all that behind and get a good nights sleep back in the village
