A very comfortable, in fact somewhat luxurious cottage, ideally situated just outside Barnard Castle. We had a wonderful stay, made all the better by the delightful warm welcome. Frankly, the best cottage in which we have stayed.
We had an amazing stay at the Keaton Lodge it had everything you could want and a little more. The facilities at the lodge were brilliant it was so clean and well finished. Anne was lovely to deal with and would certainly stay here again. Thank you for a great holiday.
Anne is a charming hostess and the cottage is superb in every respect and exceeded our expectations. There are many places to visit in this wonderful area. Barnard Castle is very close where you can get anything you want. We enjoyed our stay and wish we had booked it for longer. We would definitely recommend it to all ou friends and family.
we enjoyed the property and the stunning views, there was everything you needed in the house, it was exceptionally clean, tidy and comfortable. The owners were very accommodating and looked after us very well. We would definitely return to explore more of the area, Barnard Castle was very nice, with Bowes museum a must see. Raby Castle also worth a visit and we also enjoyed the evening at the open air show Kynren. The next time will be for a longer visit.
We had a wonderful weeks stay at Kearton Lodge. The cottage is very nice and comfortable. Anne was very accommodating and even had cakes, fruit juice and milk waiting for us. The views from the lodge look straight over the rolling country side. The area was great to explore. Barnard Castle is a lovely town. We were spoilt weather wise as the week we stayed was the hottest this year. We will definitely be staying again. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a great holiday cottage in an outstanding area with lovely owners.
We have just had 5 wonderful days at the Kearton Lodge from arrival to departure we have enjoyed every moment.
On arrival Anne gave us a lovely welcome along with a full introduction to the cottage answered any questions we had gave info on the local area and were to visit etc.... and even had the kettle on ready for us with fresh warm scones.
The cottage is fantastic and has everything you need the little extra touches are so lovely (easter egg bunny) and fresh flowers along with high quality toiletries and the beautiful smelling reed diffusers all make it extra special
The cottage is of such a high standard and is a real treat and you feel welcome and at home from walking in.
We used the sauna during our stay which was brilliant and was such a lovely thing to have been able to use.
We re-booked with Anne just as we left for a stay over christmas and new year and we cannot wait to return
Thank you for a great holiday
