This cottage was the best we have ever stayed in. From the welcome by the owners, the quality of property and furnishing and absolute cleanliness, it was at least 6 star. Situation with amazing views and so much to see and do within a close radius. It was so comfortable we were sometimes split between staying and enjoying the luxury or travelling around. Definitely one we will be back to.
We are delighted our property met/exceeded your expectations and you both had an enjoyable stay with us. Your shining review will certainly give potential guests the confidence to choosing and staying in our beautiful cottages in a fabulous area of outstanding natural beauty.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We look forward to seeing you both again.
One of the best self catering cottages we have ever stayed in. 5 star luxury. Owners very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Thank you for a great review of your stay and highly recommending our 5 star luxury cottages to future guests.
We are very fortunate to live in an area of outstanding natural beauty with fabulous views of Teesdale and beyond.
I look forward to welcoming you both back to the cottage one day to enjoy more adventures together.
Fantastic weekend away
Kearton Cottage was a fantastic find and we were lucky it was available for the Easter weekend. The cottage is furnished to an exceptionally high standard with everything you could possibly need provided. A warm welcome to the cottage was given by Anne who was also full of information of the local area. Would love to have stayed longer and will be back in the future.
A lovely cottage with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside - highly recommended.
Our expectations were high and we weren't disappointed. The cottage was attractively furnished, well equipped and so comfortable, it was perfect for our needs and even better than we had hoped. From the warm friendly welcome til the day we left, we really felt at home. The large sunroom with its' extensive views was an added bonus as unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to enjoy the outside space. It was a pity we were only there for a few days but hopefully we can journey up north again and have the opportunity to stay again. Anne certainly knows how to look after her guests she even made time to show us around their collection of steam engines and farm vehicles before we left.
Thank you very much for taking the time to send the lovely review of your stay. We are delighted to hear you both enjoyed the comfort of your cottage, the amazing views, and found the Steam Engine and Vintage Tractor collection interesting.
We look forward to welcoming you both back to our beautiful Dales one day to explore some more of our beautiful walks and scenery.
Best Wishes Anne
Absolutely brilliant !
In 40 years of self-catering we have never received such a warm welcome. Anne and Stephen are fantastic hosts, generous with both their time and local knowledge.
The property is even better than the pictures ! Well designed , comfortable , light and airy and the garden room is absolutely brilliant. Thoughtful touches like homemade cake on arrival and milk & orange juice in the fridge were a bonus. Oh and a log fire on the go too !
No wonder there are so many repeat bookings and we will be joining them !
Try it yourself, you will be glad you did.

Anne is a perfect host. The property was warm, and the log burner was glowing when we arrived. Anne had made chocolate cake for us.
The property is pure luxury. Quality furniture and fittings, a huge comfortable bed, and a beautiful sun room overlooking the valley.
This is by far the finest holiday rental property we have found, and we regularly stay in self catering properties.
Thank you, Anne, we will be back.
