Every gite is south facing . We do have wildlife here , with the red squirrel, birds of prey, the deer who come to the river at night for a drink and thousands of small birds and also the tiny little bats that fly around late at night ,so fantastic for the animal lover.

We stayed at Kerabellec for our two week holiday in July and loved every minute of it. The owners, Sam & Vicky, are super friendly and helpful. It was our first holiday in Brittany, and they gave us plenty of ideas. The small complex felt relaxed, with a super swimming pool and play area for the children. We stayed in La Faisane, there is loads of space with two double bedrooms and a private patio with BBQ which we used most nights. We visited some amazing attractions and towns nearby such as Josselin, Vannes and a really weird but fascinating sculpture and arts garden in Lizzio, it was like being inside Dr Suess's mind, worth checking out with young children! Overall, we will definitely be returning to Kerabellec when we next visit Brittany, so book with confidence. Mark, Cheryl, Charlotte & Edward
Beautiful gites, amazing settings and facilities. We have stayed twice and have booked again for a family of five. The gites are all up held to a professional standard and Sam and Vicky (the owners) are really hospitable, approachable and friendly- so much so, we are going again twice next year! Such a stunning part of France, lots to do and very diverse. There is something for everyone either on site, walking in the nearby forests, visiting very close villages, beaches, cities or family delights such as le petit d'lire even kingoland! Definitely recommended, even having loved the south of France for years!
We have just returned from a most wonderful family holiday- we were 11 in all and I can say that this was the perfect place for us. Not only did Rhiannon come and find us (we got lost), but Sam and Vicky were absolutely fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble.
The children played to their hearts content in the heated pool all week, whilst the adults chilled and enjoyed the well equipped and comfortable gites. The open plan Kitchen and sitting rooms were brilliant for all of us to spend the evening together playing games and enjoying each other company. The lunches and even breakfast were enjoyed out on the patio areas, whilst being able to keep an eye on the the younger members of the the party. We explored around the Lac de Guerledan and found the Abbaye de Bon Repos which is well worth a visit. As well as enjoying the market at Carnac and the wonderful beaches around this area.
We loved staying at Kerebellec, thank you so much Vicky, Sam and Rhiannon for making our holiday perfect. If you stay at kerebellec you will not be disappointed.
We had a lovely week with our family of 4. It was very dog friendly and we had a great time cycling on safe river side and canal paths. We found a beach that allowed dogs (mentor beach) on the way to Quiberon. We loved St Gustan, Auray which had many restaurants and beautiful views. The gite was beautiful. The kids loved the pool and playing with Vicky and Sam's dogs. Anna and Bob
We had a lovely week in La Faisane! The cottage is very charming, comfortable and airy and had plenty of space for our family of four. Our teenage sons slept really well in the downstairs bedroom, with their own shower room. We slept equally well upstairs in a very charming bed room, with adjoining bathroom. The open-plan living kitchen living space was perfect. We didn't miss anything in the kitchen and enjoyed some great meals in our own patio area. But it was equally nice to eat indoors. Good table! The location is beautiful and rural, but yet close to the bakers where we bought croissants and bread in the mornings. Also close to a larger place, Baud, which has all amenities. The pool, very conveniently located for us, was the right depth and size for us. Our sons of course loved the pool, but also greatly appreciated the wifi!
The owners were very nice and helpful. Thank you so much Vicky and Sam!!!
We had some lovely outings, but there are so much more to see. We have to come back and explore Bretagne further! These are some things that we enjoyed:
Medieval festival in Vannes, 5 km walk from Chapelle du Manéguen, Pont Saint Goustan, the stones in Carnac (beware that English guiding into the area is only on certain dates), canoeing on river Blavet (can recommend the 2-3 hours paddling, even though we had to carry the canoes past two locks), eating at Baud's Aux Bon Vieux Temps.
My husband and I stayed at Kerabellec twice during 2014 during June and October, and absolutely loved the complex and the location especially with our dogs , who loved the walks in the woods.
The then owners were retiring back to England, and mentioned that they were selling the complex. We loved the property and location so much , that we decided to move from England and buy Kerabellec and the gites.
It is the best move that we have ever made , absolutely stunning .
The closest beaches are around Carnac - about 35 minutes on easy roads by car. Worth travelling another five minutes for are the beaches on Western side of the Quiberon peninsular where there is a wealth of water sport, including wind-surfing, kite-surfing, surfing and sand-surfing! The waters on the eastern side of the peninsular are calmer for young families. A favourite beach with our clients is at Kerhilio just at the base of the peninsular.
Our nearest airport is at Rennes (just over an hour by car) with several flights from the UK daily. Flights from the UK also come into Nantes and Brest. The nearest ferry ports are at Roscoff and St Malo, each about two hours drive away. Caen is under three hours by car and Cherbourg three and half hours. The drive from the Tunnel terminal at Calais takes six hours. Your own transport is essential when staying here.
Our nearest town is Baud, with a good selection of small shops, and some excellent bakers. There are three supermarkets and several good restaurants. La Chapelle Neuve is our closest village - a twenty minute walk away - and has a small shop. For serious shopping there is a hypermarket in Lorient. There are excellent markets locally - one almost every day in Vannes, or Auray, Carnac or Pontivy or Hennebont. There is also a small market in Baud on Saturdays.
All Gites are None Smoking, however outside smoking is permitted & ashtrays can be supplied. We keep a basket in each cottage with recommendations for local restaurants and tourist guides to what's on in the area. We ask guests to add to the basket with the things that they have most enjoyed doing. There are several interesting towns in the area, notably Josselin with its historic castle, and Vannes with its medieval streets.
