Villa in Son Parc, Menorca, Balearic Islands - Peaceful Location, 10-15 Minutes Walk To The Beach And Golf Course
About Colin Hearsey
We live in England but love visiting Menorca. We have three grown-up children and five grandchildren, all of whom visit our villa as often as their work and school commitments permit.
Why Colin Hearsey chose Son Parc
We bought the villa in 1999 after having two wonderful family holidays in Menorca. The island has something for everyone and the villa is popular with our family and friends. The atmosphere is very relaxed, there are plenty of interesting places to eat and there are numerous attractive beaches and pleasant walks.
What makes this Villa unique
Our villa is quiet and set in attractive surroundings but at the same time is well-placed for local restaurants and shops. It is an advantage not to have to use the car all the time.

The villa was very much as the Home Away description clean tidy and very well equipped with most things you would need for a great holiday.I would definitely recommend.
Thank you Dennis for your nice review. We’d be pleased to book you in again whenever you wish to return to Son Parc.
family holiday in Menorca
Good clean villa as described. Nice small pool but has deep end so need to supervise non swimmers . Owner responded quickly to our questions. Good location, easy walk to local amenities. Arenal d’en Castell beach amazing.
Hi Susie, thank you for your nice review. We'll be happy to book you in again whenever you wish to return to Menorca.
Lovely villa in quiet residential neighbourhood on a fabulous island.
Villa was as described. It had everything you need and more, except for air conditioning and unfortunately we picked the hottest week of the year to holiday!! The electric fans were a godsend. Villa is in a superb location and Son Parc has a very good small supermarket and several reasonably priced and good restaurants. We particularly liked the Pinomar and the owners were very friendly. We will definitely come back but in a cooler week!!!!
Thank you Alex for your nice comments. We'll be pleased to book you in when you wish to return.
Great property great location
Really lovely property in a wonderful quiet location. Fantastic private pool and outdoor space. Just a short walk to the shops. Very relaxing.
Thank you Edward for your nice review. We'll be happy to make a reservation for you again in the future.
A fantastic well equipped villa. Great location in peaceful surroundings. Perfect for families.
The owner, Colin , responded quickly from the start of our initial enquiries to the night before travelling. We booked a family holiday with grandparents and my 10 month old. The villa was so well equipped from sun loungers to inflatables for the swimming pool. There wasn’t really anything it didn’t have! A great location to a supermarket and a few restaurants. It was set peaceful surroundings allowing us to relax when the little one was napping or in the evening. The beach was stunning - we hired a car which was perfect to get younger and older members of the group there. But you could walk there. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you for a great holiday.
Thank you Jemma for your lovely review. We're pleased you had a great holiday and look forward to booking you in again in the future.
Couldn't wish for more
Not having done much research ahead of visiting Menorca for the first time, we got really lucky by finding this lovely villa in a perfect location. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, it has everything a family with young children needs for a relaxing and fun holiday. The pictures and Colin's text tell you all you need to know about villa (there's nothing it doesn't have), it's a stone's throw from a great beach (the pictures don't do it justice), some super bars and restaurants that are very kid-friendly and what looks like a well-maintained golf course, although we didn't play there. The island is small - you can drive its longest route in about half an hour - so you are never far from any of the many beaches, water parks, go-karts and hosts of other activities to keep all ages entertained. Colin's directions got us to the villa in no time (you won't get lost even with a very rudimentary map), and we were in the pool within 40 minutes of plane hitting tarmac. We'll be going back, for certain.
Hello Stuart, thank you for your super review. We're delighted that you enjoyed your first visit to Menorca and we'll be happy to reserve the villa again for you in the future.
The nearest beach is 10-15 minutes' walk from the villa. It is an attractive, sandy beach backed by sand dunes and the water is shallow, making it suitable for people of all ages. It is patrolled by lifeguards in season. Pedaloes, canoes, sunbeds and parasols are available for hire. There is an ample but unobtrusive car park at one end of the beach and a beach bar provides snacks and cooked meals. Pleasant walks from the main beach give access to a number of smaller, secluded beaches.
The airport is at Mahon and can be reached by car in about 25 minutes. Car hire is not essential but is recommended for full enjoyment of Menorca. There are some buses to other parts of the island, including services to Mahon and Fornells. Taxis are easy to hire.
A range of restaurants, bars and supermarkets, plus a chemist and a doctor’s surgery, are within easy walking distance. A jogging track and a play area, including climbing equipment, swings and a zip wire, are a five minute walk from the villa, in a pine wood setting; there is also exercise equipment for children and adults of a more energetic disposition. There is a toddler playground on the same site.
There are many good restaurants in Fornells, Alayor, Mercadal, Arenal d'en Castell and Na Macaret, all of which can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. A little further afield, Mahon and Ciutadella provide an even wider range. Arenal d'en Castell can also be reached on foot via a very pleasant half-hour walk across the cliffs.
Mountain and trekking bikes can be hired in Son Parc and elsewhere. There are numerous cycle tracks around the island.
Guided bike rides and hikes are available.
Horseriding is popular and local stables offer guided horseback excursions.
Boat hire, wind surfing, kayak excursions and diving are available at Fornells and elsewhere.
