There is in this place an intense perfume of cultivated land, while the metropolis is well behind you. It’s a picture postcard landscape that is both sweet and savage is living proof of an incredible bio-diversity successfully preserved. Sceneries unfolding before the visitor’s eyes are often the same ones celebrated by Goethe or landscape painters of the 19th century. Scents, colours, flavours and sensations represent an invaluable heritage that must be treasured and appreciated. We encourage our guest to visit an ancient drinking trough full of newly hatched pollywogs or follow along a well-maintained footpath traversing a cork forest in search of signs of habitat from a great number of wild animals that take refuge in the wooded area of the property. Torretta is an open air classroom. With our apartment and villa for rent, you will get an easy access to Rome’s historic center via public transportation. The best choice renting an apartment in Rome.
Torretta de Massimi provides the perfect venue for both a relaxing summer holiday and sightseeing break. Located within a tranquil setting the only distrubances come from the crickets chirrping and the occasional donkey bray. Where else could you possibly swim under a full moon while bats swoop down to drink from the pool?
It is only a short bus ride (20 minutes) into the heart of Rome where all main toruist sites are within walking distance. The bus always seemed to be waiting for us and as it ran until midnight there was no need to hire a car. Ottavio even arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport on arrival.
Ottavio, the charming and energetic owner is a fantastic host going over and above what was required. He is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his city and showed us many sights we would otherwise not have seen. He also makes fabulous yellow plum jam from his own organic trees and the world's best melon sorbet.
The tower provides quirky, rustic accommodation over 3 floors so is only suitable for the able-bodied. The swimming pool is deep, sun-warmed and absolutely stunning although as it is not fenced off may not be ideal for those with young children who are not confident swimmers. It is the perfect place to relax after a hot day of sightseeing (or indeed instead of).
Torretta offers the opportunity to be a tourist and have a relaxing holiday at the same time - I cannot rate it highly enough. This place is stunning thanks to its setting and fantastic host.
