Luxury Villa in Ostuni, Puglia in a lovely private peaceful location, close to the historic town centre and many sandy beaches
About Linda Cargill
We are a family of four. Linda has put all her energy and loving care into Villa Aurora, bringing it up to the very highest standard. It is a wonderful family home for us, perfect for entertaining, which we like to share with other people allowing them to also enjoy the pleasure of staying there. We are very passionate about giving all of our guests the very best holiday experience and service, which all the amazing 5 star reviews we have testify.
Linda Cargill purchased this Villa in 2008
Why Linda Cargill chose Ostuni
When we first arrived in Puglia we fell in love with this unspoilt part of Italy, its friendly people, fantastic locally produced food and wine, good weather, lovely coastline and beautiful old historical towns, with Ostuni being in our opinion the best. It was like stepping back in time. The area is steeped with history and beautiful architecture. Villa Aurora is in the Valle d'Itria, surrounded by lovely vineyards, with lots of local wine producers where you can have wine tours. We invite you to come share in and enjoy for yourselves what we have lovingly created. You will not be disappointed.
What makes this Villa unique
We originally wanted to purchase something old, but on looking found these properties to be very dark and often damp, not allowing you to enjoy the beautiful weather and views from whilst inside. What we love about Villa Aurora is its spaciousness with its high ceilings, large windows and doors, letting in lots of light, allowing you to enjoy the fantastic views of the swimming pool, beautiful gardens and lovely countryside from inside. These can also be enjoyed from the villa's seven terraces, three of which are shaded. Every time we go onto to the roof terrace that instant feeling of 'wow' never goes away. Everybody who goes up there feels exactly the same way. With the added benefit of a 300 year old trullo, the property offers the very best of both worlds, old and new. With our hectic lives we find the villa to be so quiet, peaceful and instantly relaxing. It is situated in a truly beautiful location and is luxurious in every way. We have landscaped the gardens to complement this with many different areas to sit and relax. It has become our haven away from the pressures of the outside world.

Beautiful Villa in Ostuni!
We booked this property for a family of 11. The owner Linda was very attentive to all our questions during the booking process and during our stay. The villa and property are beautiful and really capture the essence of Puglia. There was plenty of space for all of us and staying in the Trullo was special. We had a local cook come in to make breakfast for us and she was wonderful as she knows the property well. I would highly recommend this property if you plan on exploring this area of Italy!
Thank you for your lovely review Matthew. We are really happy that you all enjoyed staying with us so much and that you got to explore the local area and great restaurants all around us. How nice that you appreciated Giulia cooking breakfast for you so much. I agree, having her in to cook is wonderful and effortless too as she is so familiar with everything there. We hope to be able to welcome you back again in the future.
Very best regards
Fabulous family holiday
Our family of three generations from New Zealand, Australia and the UK spent 2 weeks at this wonderful property. Linda was so helpful with suggestions and arranging for our great cook, Giulia, and for Massages. The property was perfect for our needs with separation for the different families and the most gorgeous pool. The property is beautifully kept and has many different entertainment options for both adults and children. We appreciated the fantastic cooking and kindness of Giulia - certainly worth having her cook - we did it every second night and she was very reasonable and a lovely lady. The pool was very well maintained and the children spent hours in it. We have had our family holidays in Hawai'i, Australia, Phuket and other parts of Europe. This was by far the best and we recommend it to an extended family group or a group of friends. Fabulous place - Linda's attention to detail was most appreciated - every small thing was thought of to make our stay go so smoothly. Many thanks, Linda and Chris for lending us your home! Gabrielle Tasman and family.
Thank you for your lovely review Gabrielle! We are delighted that Villa Aurora is the best villa you have ever rented from all those you have stayed at around the world. Your appreciation of the high standard we keep everything and the attention to detail given by me are also so nice for me to hear. Having such lovely weather for your two weeks stay at the end of September meant full enjoyment of our beautiful heated swimming pool and it is wonderful that the children enjoyed it so much. I will pass on all your kind words to Giulia, whose cooking you all enjoyed. All our guests love her cooking and it makes for such a relaxing holiday for everyone. We hope to welcome you back in the future.
Family Holiday in Ostuni
This is a lovely Villa with gorgeous gardens in the Puglian countryside. We had a great family holiday here with 12 people. Lots of room and the pool is great. Many lovely towns nearby to explore.
It is so nice to hear that you and your family had a great holiday at Villa Aurora Matthew. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.
Large birthday party group
We have just come back from 2 weeks at Villa Aurora, and it was amazing.
Our group of friends and family arrived at various times, and we’re all blown away by the villa.
It has literally everything you could think of, and the villa and gardens are immaculate.
We had Giulia give us a cookery lesson, which was great. She then came in and cooked for our birthday party of 14 people, which was worth every penny.
We may never have a large enough group to stay here again, but can't recommend it enough, and Linda was only a message away to help solve any problems.
If it’s your birthday/anniversary etc. Book it NOW!!!
Wow, what a lovely review Stephen! I am delighted that you were so blown away by everything at Villa Aurora. It makes all our hard efforts keeping the property and gardens to such a high standard so worthwhile.Although we sleep a lot of people it is still perfect for a much smaller group of say 8 people, each then having their own totally private area to themselves, yet being able to come together as a group. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.
Fabulous group and family oriented villa in Puglia
Wow! Are you a large family or friends group wanting to visit Puglia? Then Villa Aurora is the place for you. Our large family group (14 people) stayed here a week in September, 2018 on a cycling holiday. It was a first time in Europe (and cycling) for our nieces and nephews who comprised the majority of the group. Villa Aurora is beautiful, modern, clean, well-constructed, well appointed, well-kept and, well, everything you need for a fabulous week in Italy. Our weather was steamy hot so the beautiful pool got a lot of use. The grounds are impeccable and very well designed. Mornings were spent on the roof, watching the sun rise with coffee and breakfast. After cycling, pool time. Then R&R (AKA rosé on the roof) until dinner. We did most of the cooking ourselves in the very well equipped kitchen (of which there are multiple). We also engaged Giulia, the chef, on two nights. She was excellent and very reasonable.
Why this villa?
The roof. Spectacular views especially sunrise and sunset.
There are screens on the windows!!!
The kitchen(s). Which have large refrigerators
The bedrooms. Very comfortable
The bathrooms. (large)
The location. Quiet. Close to Ostuni, Cisternino and Ceglie Messapica. Also close to the coast if you are into the beach. We cycled to the coast twice.
Suitable for families and large groups.
Linda, the owner, was also very easy to work with and provided much information about where to get supplies and what to see in the surrounding area. Our whole group loved Villa Aurora and we highly recommend a visit here.
Thank you for such an amazing review Keith! We are happy that you all loved Villa Aurora so much and enjoyed cycling all around the surrounding area. It's great that you got to see so many lovely parts of Puglia. We hope to welcome you back to Villa Aurora again soon. Linda

With its crystal blue sea and acres of ancient olive groves, Puglia’s landscape is very different from the rolling countryside of Tuscany and Umbria. Its sunny climate, delicious food, excellent wine and interesting history make Puglia a captivating region just waiting for you to explore.
It is still blissfully Italian, "the undiscovered corner of Italy” and has long been known as Italy’s wine cellar. It produces more than half of Italy’s olive oil production.
Puglia offers some of the best golf courses in Italy and we have two sets of golf clubs at the villa for holiday makers free use.
From the villa’s central location you can easily visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Alberobello and Matera, plus the Necropolis of Egnathia, the Castles of Conversano and Monopoli and the Baroque City of Lecce, which has been described as the Florence of the South.
Swim and dive into the Cave of Poetry, one of the ten most beautiful natural swimming pools in the world, Grotto del Poesie!
Torre Guaceto is a short distance from the villa. This is a protected Marine Nature Reserve where you can swim, cycle and walk.
The Ostuni countryside is tranquil and the ideal place to relax and unwind. The beautiful setting is perfect for families, friends & couples.
Ostuni is one of the most stunning towns of Southern Italy with the dazzling effect of its whitewashed houses. Hints of the middle ages are at hand in every corner of the old town, known as the "White City", la citta bianca in Italian. It is a bustling town, with many shops, restaurants and bars.
In close driving distance to the villa you are spoilt for choice for wonderful restaurants where you can sample the fantastic locally produced food, such as the delicious burrata cheese, ear shaped orecchiette pasta and an abundance of seafood, as well as the local wine. There are also many local interesting markets, Ostuni’s on a Saturday morning being the best.
During the summer there are many festivals in the surrounding towns.
There is no excuse to ever be bored, you can do as little or as much as you desire!
