Lovely place, lovely people. Thankyou for a great holiday
Very lovely old farmhouse. The owners are great. Couldn't do enough. The only thing I would say I if you hire a car don't use city go rentals. Go with Europe car or another large hire car franchise. Apart from that a lovely holiday
A really relaxing holiday in a traditional house.
The farm house has the wow factor from the moment you walk in through the doors. A fifteen minute walk takes you to the quaint town square where there are restaurants and a few shops. Turn left out of the front door for a two minute walk to some amazing views. We made use of a weekly bus pass, which was very good value, however if we went again we would hire a car to explore the island further. Xaghra is a lovely town and Gozo is beautiful.
A lovely old building, great pool, wonderful weather. Very friendly owner and caretaker.
A very relaxing place to stay.
The location was great, right by the Ggantija Temple ruins. The property was relaxing with a fantastic pool and Maria the hostess was very welcoming and helpful.
Thank you, Bethany
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay at White Pampas, and hopefully you will return to Gozo soon.

We (My husband, I and our two teenage daughters) absoloutly loved this property.Looks nothing from the outside, but once in, it is your own little complex! Up the stairs that you can see in photo - to the main and twin bedrooms - The other double is downstairs to the right of the house. Very traditional, and has everything you need. Ocassionaly you have noise from neighbours, but generally only families having fun in the pool - it is a holiday afterall. I would definately reccomend! Gozo is a very chilled island, we had hired a car, which I would reccomend, and explored pretty much all of the island.Pool is great.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments White Pampas, I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and would hopefully see you back again one day. Although a lot of the praise should be for Maria and family they look after all client needs, I don't know what I would do without them!

Lovely old farmhouse in a lovely location
The accommodation was as lovely as in the pictures and well equipped and very clean. The pool was great and perfect for my young children. The house is just a short walk to the main square in Xaghra, where there are lots of lovely places to eat. Maria was really kind and helpful and arranged a taxi to and from the airport. We were able to see the sights on Gozo by bus. This was a great place to stay!
Thank you for comments on White Pampas, they are much appreciated.
Special interest holidays:
The Maltese islands attract, every year, tens of thousands of divers, most of whom claim that the best dives are off Gozo. There are fantastic arches, tunnels, wrecks, caves and lagoons to explore and the underwater landscape is as varied as the topography. The most stunning dive of all is that at the Azure Window in Dwejra, with its deep, plunging pool of clear blue water, surrounded by breathtaking rock formations, caves and drop-off points. The absence of traffic, the spread of fields and valleys, and the enchanting country roads that wind their way between village and hamlet, make for walks that lift the spirit and enrich the senses. Summer evenings allow a pleasant trek, but best of all is the time of year when the pale yellow winter sorell gives way to the glowing red of spring-time clover. Even those who are not harden walkers may stroll through the streets and gaze about them, noting details that delight.
The closest beach to the house is Ramla Bay, which is a short 5 minute drive from the house.
There are no direct flights to Gozo. Travel to Gozo from Malta by regular ferry service. The journey time from the airport to the ferry terminal is approx 30 mins and the crossing around 25 minutes with ferries running every half hour during the summer. The house is around a 10 minute drive from the harbour.
The island is 14km by 7km and roughly circular in shape. Anywhere you go on the Island is usually reached within a few minutes, with the longest journey probably being 20 minutes. We would recommend that you hire a car for the duration of your stay as the Island is very hilly. Advantage for Brits are all the road signs are in English which makes getting around very easy.
Religious culture in Gozo is strong with God taking second place to his saints. Every weekend from the last Sunday in May up to mid-September, each town and village organises a festa in honour of the patron saint to whom the parish is dedicated. In these festas, the spiritual and the secular intermingle, religion and folklore abound. During the summer holiday months, August in particular, thousands of people from Malta invade Gozo, spilling through the streets, filling the bars, and sleeping off their excesses on the beaches. This is the only time of the year when Gozo shakes off its sleepy persona. These celebrations have long been an important event and the rivalry between the villages reaches sky high proportions. From the Wednesday preceding the festa to its eve several brass bands march through the streets preceded and followed by the young and not so young who revel in dancing and merrymaking. The climax of the festa is reached on the Sunday when a procession with the statue of the saint carried shoulder-high wends its way slowly through the streets. The villagers don their best outfits and the houses are decorated and lit for the occasion.
