House in Camposol, Nr. Mazarron, Costa Calida, Spain - Rural Location, 10 Miles from Beautiful Coastline

The villa is about 80 square metres internal size and has all modern amenities including "wifi" and English TV. It is open plan in the main living area and is fully furnished with linen and towels provided. There is a front terrace with great views and an enclosed rear terrace ideal for drying washing etc. There is an outside staircase leading to the roof terrace with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, also there is a built in BBQ and outside furniture. Less than 5 minutes drive is Camposol golf resort with 18 hole course, club house and hotel with spa facilities. 7 mins from the villa are the main shops, bars, restaurants etc. Camposol village is near a new trunk road with easy access to the motorway system.

I bought here because it is a popular area for the Spanish to take their holidays, so it has a very authentic feel, It is well served by Alicante, Murcia San Javier, Almaria and soon Corvera airports, it also has some stunning scenery with great beaches but also the Sierra Espuna National park is near, so on a hot day you can take a cooling drive in the mountains and find a country restaurant with local specialities on the menu.

What makes this house unique

The actual location of the property is very quiet with direct access to open country for walking and mountain biking, there are stunning rooftop views.

Notes on accommodation: This property would not normally be suitable for very young children because of the outside stairs. There are two pedestal fans that can keep the place fairly cool. There are 2 bicycles for guests to use. Outside: There is a small garden on the front terrace and a stone bench. The rear terrace is plain but makes an excellent area for drying and outside storage. The roof terrace is large and has a BBQ, table and chairs with wood pagoda and 2 sun loungers, also there are airbeds in the house ideal for sunbathing on. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included, cleaning is not. There is a charge of 40 euro for clean payable locally. Other: Other items for guests include, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, beach towels, mats and chairs, DVD player and two mountain bikes.

"One of the good guys"

I recently had to cancel my holiday to Camposol as I was unfortunately made redundant. I contacted Keith to explain my situation, Keith kindly refunded my deposit immediately. Definitely "one of the good guys and a pleasure to deal with" hope to visit Camposol in the future and would definitely book with Keith and his wife again.

very nice base

Nice and comfortable property. An excellent base for walking the hills with our 2 dogs. Everything you needed there to make your stay enjoyable. We will certainly consider it for future holidays. Thank you Keith for sharing your home.

Local beaches and fantastic coastline approximately 10 miles/15 minutes. There are many beaches to choose from from totally deserted to busy town beaches.


Camposol is approximately 50 minutes drive from Murcia San Javier airport and one and a half from Alicante. Both airports are well served by all the main budget airlines. Car hire is essential with this property.


The local shops, bars, supermarket, petrol station, banks etc are about 2 miles the nearest town Mazarron is 7 miles and the port of Mazarron is 10 miles.

Further Details:

This villa makes a great base for a walking holiday as there are many trails, mountain and coastal walks available. In the local town and port of Mazarron there are market days where you can buy local food and produce much cheaper than the supermarkets, a great chance to meet the locals and practice your Spanish! Along the Bay of Mazarron you can take part in many water sports from sailing to scuba to fishing. This area is where the Spanish people holiday, it is not awash with night clubs pubs and high rise buildings, it lends itself to a more relaxing and interesting holiday but with many surprises in store for the more adventurous! Only 2 hours by car is Granada with the famous Alhambra palace and 30 minutes further on is Europes most southerly ski resort with very easy access to the slopes in winter.
