In a cobbled cul-de-sac just off Calle Bellido, our 'casa' has all the benefits of the centre of Vejer but is also in a quiet and safe residential location. Round the corner is one of the best bars in town with excellent tapas, and round another a very friendly general store. The market, the supermarket, the internet shop, banks, and the many bazaars, are all within walking distance. We have wonderful views over Vejer from the living room, main bedroom, balcony and private roof terraces. There are two double bedrooms with sleeping space in the living room for extra guests. Renovation was completed in April 2009 to make a very smart home with European and Moroccan furniture. A wrought-iron spiral staircase from the large dining/kitchen leads to a roof room accessing two spacious terraces both with Moroccan mosaic-topped tables, a range of chairs and places to relax, and awnings.

About Angela Everitt
I live in Somerset and work part-time for The Open University. My son and my daughter are both teachers in secondary schools, my son in London and my daughter in Bournemouth. We purchased our property in 2003 when we fell in love with Vejer while holidaying there over Easter. We finally saved enough money to renovate and furnish the property in 2009. We visit with other family members and friends as often as we are able, but are also very happy to share our apartment with others through Owners Direct.
Angela Everitt purchased this Apartment in 2003
Why Angela Everitt chose Vejer de la Frontera
I holidayed on the Costa de la Luz with my children (actually young people now in their early 30s) about five years ago - and we fell in love with Vejer. The town is charming. It is just ten minutes from the coast, wild, unspoilt with vast stretches of sand, dunes, wild flowers, rolling seas. Drive the other way into the Serra de Grazalema, cork forests, eagles, wild boar. Together we bought an apartment which then was two small apartments. We saved and finally during 2008 and 2009 we had an architect design the renovation and make the two small places into one. Building work started in September 2008, furnishing the renovated apartment started in February 2009 and it was ready to live in in May 2009.
What makes this Apartment unique
We chose this particular apartment because it is in the centre of old Vejer, has two roof terraces both with wonderful views over the town, but it is also quiet and really safe. We enjoy the neighbourhood, the local corner shop and Pedro's bar, and our Spanish neighbours are really friendly.

Lovely well-equipped apartment in a typical Andalucian hill top town.
Lovely apartment in a great town perfect for exploring the great West coast of Spain-stayed here many times and highly recommend the town and the apartment.
Thanks James. Pleased you enjoyed your return visit to Vejer. Look forward to you staying with us again.
Wonderful to return to property and enjoy Vejer and surrounding area again.
Lovely, well equipped property, well located with great views. Short drive to fantastic beaches.
Staying in Vejer
We had a great stay in Angela's flat in Vejer. Very comfortable, great roof terraces, amazing views. good location.
Thanks for your review. Pleased you enjoyed your stay. Angela
Fantastic property in great location in beautiful Vejer
It is unusual for us to go back to somewhere as there are so many places to visit but this is our second time in this apartment and 3rd time in Vejer so that gives you an indication of how highly we rate both. The apartment is very well equipped, tastefully laid out with plenty of space and light. The terraces are superb with excellent views. Vejer is full of great restaurants and bars and in our opinion is a magical place. The nearby beaches are some of the best I have been too in Spain and there are plenty of places to visit. Despite quite a debilitating illness for me for the last few days of the holiday, which necessitated a trip to the local Emergency room in the local health centre (who were excellent) we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will be back.
Thanks for this review. Always good to have guests returning and so pleased you appreciate our apartment and, of course, Vejer. Sorry to hear that you were not well though. Hope everything's OK with you now.
Fabulous roof terrace in a quiet, but central part of town
Just come back from a fantastic 3 weeks in Angela's apartment. It was so easy to arrange, really clear instructions & liked the flexibility of having a code to get the key, not wait on someone else arriving.
The apartment was in a great location, right on the edge of the old town, so an easy stroll into the main area and all the bars and restaurants which were amazing - check out the Califa group - stunning food in beautiful locations & really reasonable. Also v good were Bar Sumia (Morroccan) & Tarantella (Italian), Some of the other restaurants in the Plaza de Espania were more expensive, but not such high quality. Equally, an easy stroll to the new town where the 'real' shops were - supermarkets, pharmacy, travel agents (for day trip to Tangier)
The apartment was well stocked with lots of chairs and equiptment for either lounging on the lovely roof terraces, or at the beach. We had a lovely welcome pack, of which the wine was particularly welcome after the drive down from Seville.
The apartment was really nicely done up, it was light & bright and clean. Internet worked brilliantly once we had set it up & having a second fridge at the top for stashing cold drinks whilst sunbathing was ace.
Would definitely recommend this apartment, it was perfectly located in a quiet area, but close enough to get to the action if you wanted to - and for a little town, there was loads going on - we went to a jazz festival & Night of the Candles when they light up the town with little candles - amazing.
Thanks Sonja for writing so well of our place in Vejer. So pleased you enjoyed staying there and hope you'll be able to return one day.
Peaceful und trotzdem mittendrin
Die Wohnung liegt zentral und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Der Blick von der Dachterasse ist wunderschön. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Coast/Beach: The coast and beaches of the Costa de la Luz are wonderful, wild, unspoilt, ever more bays and secluded beaches to be discovered. El Palmar, Los Canos, Cap Trafalgar are both about a quarter of an hour's drive. Wind-surfing, surfing, etc and horse-riding are all possible. There is a newly constructed covered swimming pool in Vejer. Travel: Jerez (RyanAir from Stansted) 45 minutes drive. Gibraltar (MonarchAir from Luton & Manchester) 1 hour drive. Seville (RyanAir from Liverpool, Bristol etc) 2 hours drive. Malaga (everyone from everywhere) 2.5 hours drive. We recommend hiring a car and would be pleased to recommend companies. Distances: Our 'casa' is a couple of minutes walk to the nearest tapas bar (which is excellent), a general corner shop and the bakery, five minutes to the market, the supermarket, the internet shop, banks. It's about ten minutes to the Plaza Espana. Further Details: Some suggestions for your holiday: walking in the Serra de Grazalema (50 minutes drive away); swimming, surfing etc on the real Atlantic seas just a quarter of an hour away; bird-watching on the coast, the wetlands north of Cadiz or the mountains of Grazalema; horse-riding through the umbrella pines behind Barbate and on the beaches; sherry-tasting in the many bodegas; relaxing in the pools with massages in the beautifully renovated traditional Andalusian baths in Jerez; whale watching from a boat from Tarifa; short visits to Morocco on the 35 minute hovercraft from Tarifa; shopping in the bazaars and markets of Vejer, Cadiz and the many small towns nearby; and of course dining out in a mix of restaurants, Spanish, Moroccan, French, even Danish, or just wandering the narrow flower-filled streets of Vejer calling in to the many shops, boutiques, tapas bars.
