If I could give it more stars, I would!

I can't say enough about the fantastic experience we had during our one week stay. We are a family with two teenagers (16 and 18), and we stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments. If you have an interest in history, art, food, agriculture, or just unique experiences, you'll love this place- you'll feel like you're staying with family. Costanza and Serena are so kind and helpful and truly value their ancestral home. Their family has retained so much of the original features, from floors to ceilings, to hardware, furniture, art, etc. It is like a trip back in time but with all the modern conveniences of air conditioning (great for us as it was in the 90's!), washing machine, pool, etc. We picked fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to cook in our apartment, and our hostesses were generous to give us fresh eggs from their ducks and chickens! Their own olive oil is wonderful, as is their red wine (and they will sell you some to take home!)You are free to roam all around this estate property which is in town but surrounded by a wall for security. You feel like you're in the country. Short walk to shopping, restaurants, and the train station for a quick ride to Florence. Peaceful and relaxing with the beautiful trees and the sparkling pool to come back to after a day in Florence. Be sure to participate in the cooking class or at least the group dinner! You've never eaten so well, and you'll be taken good care of. The sisters are charming and always happy to answer any questions about the estate, and both have great knowledge of agriculture and food. Yes, I'm emotionally attached. :) Can't wait to go back!

Unique and amazing property - 15 minutes by train to Florence!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Sesto Fiorentino. The location is perfect for exploring the area and we took our host's advice and took the train into Florence. It was so easy and relaxing to have the train take you right into the centre of the city. From Sesto it is a quick drive to the other areas of Tuscany (Chianti, etc.). Our apartment was really spacious and very clean. There was a high level of attention to detail (lovely soaps the in the bathrooms, condiments in the kitchen, fresh eggs from the hens, a free bottle of the farm's wine, fresh fruit in the morning from the fruit trees). The pool was great for the kids and we loved the 12 acre walled garden. We highly recommend this property. We were a family of four and there was a lot of space - we had a great time. Thank you so much.

Beautiful Villa near Florence

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter, and I recently returned from our first trip to Italy. We had waited many years for this and our hopes and expectations were high. We had spent 6 wonderful days in Rome and were driving to Florence for our stay at Villa Il Paradisino di Belloni. When we arrived, we received a warm greeting from Costanza as she prepared a meat and cheese plate with a bottle of the wine they make from grapes grown on the farm. The villa was beautiful...something out of a classic movie. We took a cooking class with Costanza and her sister Serena to create traditional Tuscan dishes (which I recommend). They also gave us a tour of the main house and described the rich history of the buildings and land, some of which date back to the 1300s and 1500s. Costanza gave us excellent recommendations for local restaurants and set us up with a local tour guide for our visit to Florence. Overall, the experience could not have been better. I would highly recommend Villa Il Paradisino!
