About Elaine Wright
We have lived, worked and raised our children in Lowestoft, England. However we were both born in the north of England. I am a electrician and Elaine, my wife, works for a marketing co. We also run a small property letting business in the UK. However the intention of buying our villa in Cyprus was for our own personal use and of family and friends. We have not purchased our villa looking to make a profit out of holiday rentals, but rather have concentrated on making our villa a place we enjoy with a 'wow' factor. We offer a villa in which to relax in a very luxurious setting. No expense has been spared. We have fitted quality furnishings and developed the most important and most used (in sunny Cyprus) extended external space to best advantage. After all it is where we choose to holiday!
Elaine Wright purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Elaine Wright chose Paralimni
We bought Wits End because of its superb location between the main Kennedy Avenue, with its array of excellent restaurants, bars, cocktail bars, internet cafe and supermarkets, and the superb sandy beach at Firemans Beach with crystal clear waters. A further attraction of Wits End is due to it being situated at the far corner of Kapparis Ave away from any main road noise, with sea views on an extended corner plot. The larger than average plot has given us the opportunity to add a pergola to sea side of villa and to the front terrace. Outside space is very important as majority of time spent at villa is by the pool, playing games and relaxing and 'our villa' offers all this with room to spare. The average plots do not have enjoyment of such large areas of o/s space as offered at Wits End.
What makes this Villa unique
Our villa occupies a fantastic corner location with open farmland to two sides, is not overlooked, is removed from any traffic noise and has lovely sea views. As our villa is for our own personal use we have furnished the villa to a very high standard inside and out and have added an ipod/mp3 docking station, a Wii console and games, a 'safe' for passports storage and other valuables. Our villa is located between the beach and main Kennedy Avenue with plays host to excellent restaurants, cocktail bars, bars, bakery, supermarkets and internet cafe. All between a 3 to 5 minute walk away. Unlike other resorts such as Protaras and Penera, which become like ghost towns in the winter months, Kapparis is a year round resort and the benefit of almost year round sunshine decided our purchase. A fenced and gated area has been fitted for added child security separating the swimming pool from the remaining outside space. A ceramic tile trim has been added to the swimming pool in readiness for 2016 season.
Pool / Spa
This was our 1st time to Cyprus and it was truly amazing!! Elaine and William the property manager were amazing throughout! They made our stay so relaxing without the stress of worrying about how to get there etc and even provided a welcome pack which was perfect as we didnt arrive until late! William even picked us up from the airport and Elaine was always there should i have any questions! The villa itself was stunning, very clean and tidy and provided everything you needed! well placed within walking distance to a beautiful beach and restaurants and bars- everything you need!! We will certainly be returning and would 100% recommend anyone who is looking for a lovely relaxing holiday to definitely stay at Wits End!!! Thank you so much Elaine!! :) I cant wait to return! :D
Thank you very much for your kind review. I am thrilled you enjoyed your stay at Wits End and found, William Rae, our property manager most helpful. We would be delighted to offer you our family owned villa at anytime in the future. I look forward to hear from you.
Fabulous villa in a great location
Wits End is a fabulous villa which is well maintained, clean and tidy. The outside space gives a variety of seating/bathing options with plenty of sun or shade or the beach is a 5mins walk away. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and Protaras and Asia Napa are just a short drive. We will definitely be back to stay again.
Thanks for your kind review. It is always good to know our guests enjoy our villa as much as we enjoy do!!
We think Kapparis is a lovely position with excellent watering holes and eateries within a stones throw of Wits End villa. Also the beach at Firemans Bay is easy stroll away.
I would be delighted to welcome you and your family back to Wits End at anytime in the future.
Relaxation at its best!
We stayed at this lovely villa for 10 very relaxing days! From start to finish the communication with Elaine was brilliant and all the info she supplied was brilliant. We were picked up from the airport by Will who gave us a great insight to the area and restaurants etc, his wife Jackie picked us up for the return at the end of our stay and again was lovely and suggested more places to visit on a later return visit to the area. The villa was of very high standards, very clean and everything was there that you needed for a home to home experience. The bed was really comfortable and the ceiling fan a bonus during the hot evenings alongside the aircon. The pool and outside area was again lovely and there was plenty of shade at different parts of the day which was a godsend when we had a few very hot days! The local area was nice and we got most of the things we needed from the supermarket just up the road. The restaurants we went to were all lovely and the bakery up near the roundabout is really worth a visit! We hired a car for a few days which we would reccommend if you would like to explore a bit further afield, we used Empire rentals and Stav was really lovely and helpful! All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definately return and reccommend to family and friends!
We stayed at Wits' End for ten days in August and had a wonderful time. The villa is immaculate with all mod-cons. The swimming pool is lovely and very welcoming as the temperatures ranged between mid to high thirties (although there was a breeze most of the time).
We travelled with our sons, aged 19 and 17 and found Kapparis a great place for all ages.
We did travel in to Protaras a few times for a bit more variety and our sons went to Ayia Napa for a night out and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We used Kostas for our taxi journeys and he was very reasonable (roughly 10 to 12 Euros each way).
Restaurant wise, we loved Faliros and went on a Thursday and Friday evening for their Cyprus nights. Kara's was good too, as was Tony's Taverna.
For a quick bite to eat, try the fast food Kebab shop on Kennedy Avenue. Its not your usual type of Kebab we have in the UK; its really fresh meat and salad and reasonably priced.
We also enjoyed a meal at the Pig N Whistle which was our watering hole before heading out into Protaras (huge portions of battered fish and chips!).
We were regulars at the bakers by the roundabout (Zorba's) where you can buy fresh pizza, pastries, cakes, Cypriot breads and even hot meals (very busy but a must!).
Fireman's beach is the nearest to the villa and gets very busy as its just a small cove. Head further afield to Protaras and enjoy a day at the beach at Fig Tree Bay or to Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa.
Others have commented in the past about barking dogs coming from the adjacent farmland but we did not have any problems at all and the only dog we heard barking was from a nearby villa but wasn't a problem.
The facilities at Wits' End were excellent and having a washing machine was a real bonus and meant not having to do stacks of washing when returning home.
Elaine arranged for Will to collect us from Larnaca Airport and he was prompt, helpful and reasonable and also picked us up for our journey home.
All in all, a lovely place to stay with everything on your door step. Will definitely return one day........thank you for such a lovely stay in your home.
Hi Claire and family,
Thank you for your kind review. I am delighted you enjoyed your holiday at Wits End and found the eateries on Kennedy Avenue of good quality and value for money.
I always enjoy coming home with a clean suitcase of clothes after using the washing machine. It makes the arriving home so much easier.
I would be delighted to offer you our villa at anytime in the future.
Amazing, clean, beautiful!
A well equipt home from home with everything you need and more. Perfect accommodation for a comfortable home from home stay. Great amenities near by and good food all around.
Lovely neighbours and other holiday makers around made it a very social place to stay too! Will certainly be returning.
Thank you for your kind review. We will be delighted to welcome you back to Wits End villa at anytime in the future.
Fabulous relaxing family holiday!
We came with three children 2,6,10 which is always a hard task from the moment we booked I knew we weren't going to be let down, Wits end was a beautiful place to stay, we had a very hot week so the swimming pool was hardly ever empty, the villa was very clean and had lots of essentials, the DVDs were a big hit when a break from the sun was needed. Location was great, Kennedy avenue was perfect for grabbing some shopping or having a meal out. Only 10 mins in the taxi to Grecian Park Hotel for my brothers wedding, lovely taxi guy from Olympic taxi's. Overall a great stay and would go back and recommend to others. .
Thank you for your kind review. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay at Wits End and found the Kapparis area offered plenty of facilities for the family.
The restaurants and Tavernas on Kennedy Avenue are always popular. The new bakery on Orphanides roundabout also proves to be very popular with guests (but no good for the waistline).
We have many guests stay who are attending a wedding either at Grecian Park, Adams Hotel or other venues in either Protaras or Ayia Napa. Kapparis offers easy access to venues in Protaras or Ayia Napa but provides a welcome retreat from all the hussle and bussle of such resorts.
We would be delighted to welcome you back to Wits End at anytime in the future.
