El Carmen 58 is an extraordinary 2 storey apartment with plenty of privacy, all day sunshine and stunning sea, mountain and windmill views. Enjoy yourselves on the 2 large and private terraces which are great for outdoor dining, barbecuing and for sunbathing, also for those who like an all over tanning. El Cotillo is the perfect destination for those looking for a quiet peaceful holiday. It is still a working fishing village and the local boats land most of their catch directly to the local restaurants, so you are guaranteed fresh fish. The village has a great selection of restaurants, with something to suit every taste and budget. A short walk to the north of the village lie the famous Lagoon beaches, perfect for swimming and very safe. To the south lie the surf beaches, ideal for any kind of water sports.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is very suitable for 2 couples sharing or 1 couple wanting the benefits of such a large, private and well equipped lodging. Outside: To access the apartment there is a stairway which leads to a secure door. This opens onto the the enormous (45 sq.m) patio. From there opens a further secure door to the apartment. The apartment comes with a private car park. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen, towels and kitchen-towels are inclusive and may be changed by the guests weekly. The apartment is cleaned at the end of your stay. Other: Patio (45sq.m) on the ground floor with table and chairs, sunbeds, grill, sunshade and wind protecting window. Terrace (25sq.m) on the first floor with table and chairs, sunbeds, parasol and views to beach, windmill and mountains.

What a great apartment, exactly as described.

Well maintained and spotlessly clean.

Had a very minor problem with the shower but this was dealt with immediately without any fuss...well done Fatima!

We rated this property as 5 out of 5 because it was every thing we expected and we will definately use again.

PS the little Italian bar at the end of the road is well worth a visit or two, or three.

The whole block was very quiet and peaceful, all ammenities are close by. All-in-all superb!!!!!

Great Value

We found the apartment to be spotlessly clean and very well appointed - there was always something there to meet our needs, including the library which is always a help with the weight limits on planes. We thought that the provision of beach chairs, mats and tents was a GREAT idea and had we known we could have cut the weight of the suitcase down even more.

Surf beaches 300 metres, Lagoon beaches 1 kilometre. The famous Lagoon beaches are perfect for swimming and very safe; you'll always find a wind sheltered bunk built from lava stones. The surf beaches are mainly used for water sports, surfing, kite-surfing, wind-surfing etc. Surfing equipment and bicycles are available to rent locally.


Airport Puerto del Rosario 45km. Corralejo ferry port 20km (ferries to Lanzarote). Car hire is recommended and inexpensive - petrol and diesel are much cheaper than in all other European countries. There are also plenty of taxis available.


Bus service to the living Corralejo (20km) and to the Capital Puerto del Rosario (40km) and from there all over the island. Bus stop is just a few metres from the apartment.

Further Details:

Due to its subtropical climate Fuerteventura has a 12 month holiday season. It has very little rain and the temperatures usually range from 18 to 26C. The sun shines for an average of 8 hours a day (2800 hours a year). El Cotillo has a large selection of restaurants, with something to suit every taste and budget. You'll also find in the village 3 supermarkets (the largest one just 100 metres), 2 bakeries, 2 banks, a post office, a hair dresser and some souvenir shops.

Contact us by phone or mail. You'll get two copies of a contract and have to send ours back and to pay a 10% deposit within 14 days. Balance due and a 100 euro refundable breakages deposit (refunded after departure and inspection) 6 weeks before your arrival. The extra 60 euro fee for final cleaning must be paid in the apartment at the end of your stay.

Changeover Day:
No preferred days for changeover. Arrival time after 3.00pm. Departure time by 10.00am. Other arrangements mostly possible.
