About Victoria Turner
We are a married couple living in Surrey with two young children.
Victoria Turner purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Victoria Turner chose Broadwindsor
We loved the pretty village, it has a rural feel, but with lots of places to visit nearby. The cottage is within walking distance to the local public house. We liked the idea of being close to things, but not having to put up with the noise and traffic.
What makes this Cottage unique
The village has a great community feel, we are always getting vegetables offered from the local allotments. Our children love the beaches, there are plenty to chose from, even in peak season they don't get packed and easy to park. We love going for walks, both in the countryside and along the coastal path. Our walks normally involve a pub lunch! Dorset is a food lovers area. Lots of great public houses and restaurants, we find the food to be of a high standard and generally fresh produce. You cannot beat fresh seafood, with a sea view!
Sports & Adventure Activities
Brilliant everything you could want lovely pub shop great location.
Well equipped and homely felt very comfortable and my little granddaughter loved it .
lovely cosy cottage
Went with our daughter in law ,son and grandson who were here from Australia to celebrate my 70th birthday. .Lovely cottage clean cosy and welcoming, all you could need for a holiday home plus a complimentary bottle of wine which was very welcome. Lots to do in the area and the village pub does lovely meals. The fish and chip van comes on Tuesday and you can buy them and eat them in the pub with a pint. The community village shop is well stocked and everyone we met was very friendly. Would definitely go again.
Home from Home
The cottage is all we hoped it would be. It is extremely well equipped, warm and cosy, especially with the added benefit of the log burner. The surrounding area is just beautiful and despite variable weather we went out every day. There is a well stocked Community Shop, a wonderful Craft Centre with newly refurbished café, a pub, of course and the fish and chip van visits on a Tuesday evening. What more could one wish for. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful cottage and in lovely village
What can I say! Victoria's cottage is just lovely and ideal. It is very roomy and comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is so well equipped. We went there for Christmas and we all had a fantastic time. The local pub is great. You are not far from Lyme Regis which is just lovely and also a host of other great places. A bottle of wine was left waiting for us which was so nice and there is a great wood burner. All in all this is a gem of a place and we will definitely return. Thanks Victoria for a great stay!! Irene and family
Everything we needed plus more!
Quiet and homely
This cottage was just what we had hoped for: very good facilities, good sized rooms throughout and close to the coast and within beautiful countryside. The village people were friendly: the local shop (run by volunteers) in particular.
The parking was opposite the cottage so that was convenient. The cottage had toys and games for our grandchildren (aged 4 and 7) and the 2 bathrooms (one ensuite) was very welcome in addition to the downstairs toilet. The back yard allowed for drying facilities.
There was plenty of useful information and a welcome bottle of wine!
