Gr8 characterful property.
Gr8 relaxing time helped by smiley Martin. When he told us the property was 500 yrs old and linked to the Spanish Armada,I was a little nervous thinking 1 or 2 of them might want to make our acquaintance. But not a buenos Noches in sight. Slept fantastic in extremely comfy matresses. A fantastic fortnights weather, couldn't have timed it better! We as a family of 3 stayed the first week and our parents followed the second week. All enjoyed the stay enjoying a variety of pursuits. Playing cards in the garden around the large table in the barmy evenings drinking a glass of wine was a nice end to the day. Keep up the good work.
Dear Glenn, It was a pleasure to have you and your family visit all the way from bonny Scotland and glad you really enjoyed the barn, gardens and all the area has to offer. With the micro climate down here, we are indeed spoilt with the weather with most sunshine hours on main land GB. The Armada crew left years ago to make way for our guests! Thank you for taking the time to write and thank you also for your kind words. We'll certain keep the good work up and hope to see you all again soon. Martin and Kim
The property is in a very urban setting but is ideally located being a short drive from several excellent beaches.
There is a nice shared garden which gets the evening sun and Martin was very helpful sorting out the bbq and some charcoal for us to use.
The property was absolutely lovely with everything we needed and more. We loved it so much that we didn’t feel we needed to go out in the evening; instead we stayed in and sat together while the children played in the large living area. The 3 bathrooms were a dream as there was 6 of us - we felt very spoilt. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated and we were even left our own towels, just like a hotel room. The kitchen was great with its own dishwasher which was so convenient with such a lot of washing up!
Overall, we had a really lovely time - thank you so much!
The barn is homely yet spacious. Cleanliness eas of an excellent standard
It is spacious and homely well positioned for local amenities and attractions yet feels very rural, best of both worlds. The host Martin is very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive.
Exactly how we found the area when coming on holiday and staying - the best of both worlds. What a few days though Liz. Hit with red alert weather warning - with snow settling and staying for only the second time in 20 years on The English Riviera! Glad we managed to get a 4x4 to come and get you, stranded and bring you to Threshing Barn. As soon as it came, it has gone. So pleased you found the barn warm and cosy; most needed I think - and thank you for taking the time to write this review. See you soon. Kind regards, Martin and Kim
Beautiful cottage , welcoming hosts , fantastic location
Martin was a very friendly host ,made us very welcome including a lovely bottle of red wine and cake on arrival and even treats for the dog ! Beautiful cottage with everything you might need . Had a completely relaxing stay especially enjoying bubbles in the gorgeous roll top Bath !
It was a pleasure having you all come and stay. After a journey to get here always nice to have a few goodies, even for the dog - no one wants to go straight out shopping! The roll top bath has certainly been a hit over the years and it has always been our aim to provide a relaxing, luxurious place to stay with all a guest may need. Thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts and look forward to seeing you all again in the future. Kind regards, Martin and Kim
Great place, great host
Martin, as ever, was the perfect host. Stayed here a few times now and it's cozy without being small if that makes sense. Plenty of kitchen equipment, etc, very homely. Warm and quiet. Highly recommended.
As an owner you never know the reasons a party will come and stay. Whatever the occasion or reason, we aim to provide a place of comfort and quality for the needs of our guests. Thank you for taking the time to write the comments Mike and hope to see you and the family again. Kind regards, Martin
