Beautiful villa with stunning views
We spent two weeks here to celebrate my birthday with my family. It is a truly lovely villa with a large swimming pool in a perfect setting. Terraces at different levels added to the ambience.
Many thanks for the lovely review. Glad you enjoyed your time here.
Terrible aftermath after nice stay
The house and surroundings plus view were fine, although one of the blinds of the big windows in the livingroom was closed because broken. It was fixed later in the week. The icecubemaker did not work as well. Not everything was as clean as I would have expected , but all this , no real problems for us.
The bad part of the story started after we left.
We were confronted with the accusation of having caused a broken poolcover.
(At first the broken icecubemaker was our doing as well, according to the owner, but later on this was drawn back)
Although we never used the electric poolcover also did not see it work when we arrived and the lady who received us informed us about it. I said right away we would not use it!
The owner however, kept on pointing in our direction, claiming that we must have caused the problem , probably wanting someone to pay the costs of over 700 euro’s for the repair...
I communicated with the owner but he held on to his story. All very agonizing to me.
Luckily, by accident ,we were refunded our deposit by Home Away, although the owner still claims that we have to pay.
Very unpleasant and unreasonable aftermath of a nice week we spent with our family!
I was so very disappointed with your review. As this guest is aware, the pool cover was working fine when this guest arrived and it was no longer working when the guest departed. It transpired after we managed to get a technician in to fix it that it had been operated when it had been jammed contrary to the clear instructions provided as part of the checking-in process and clearly explained in the housebook. This is the first time this has happened in many years. The consequence is that many parts had been broken and had to be replaced a great cost.
As for the guest's other comments on cleanliness, I'm astonished that these were raised after departure, as they should have been raised on checkin - this is the first time cleanliness has been raised by any guest. Curious.
Re. the icemaker repair - it takes some time in the South of France to obtain parts in mid-summer. We provided ice for you so this was not a problem for you.
All in all, very disappointing experience with this guest's refusal to accept ownership of this problem. I would only draw your attention to the other reviews which we have received and put this down to experience.
We try very hard to ensure that the villa is perfectly clean for each guest and that everything is as it should be. This is the first time we have ever received a negative review of this nature.
Fantastic relaxing break as last year!
Everything as we remembered from last year and wonderful weather. The villa is superb with a view to die for! There are so few villages that have the facilities of Flayosc and all in walking distance. The villa has everything you need for a family holiday or a large group of friends. We are so sad to leave and will be back next year. Thank you Judith and Keith for looking after us and thanks Dara for the loan of your little piece of paradise.
Sarah, we were so pleased to have you stay again and happy that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again. Judith and Keith enjoyed meeting you, said you are great guests and are hoping to you again next year. Thanks for the lovely review - much appreciated.
Luxuriously homely property with entrancing views and a variety of private garden-nooks to chill out
The house oozes charm, offers both privacy and spacious common spaces, is very well equipped, conveniently located despite its country lane approach and looks out onto endless HD widescreen views.
The heated pool in early May was inviting and delightful. The gardens are charming with lots of places to sit relax and take in a different view.
The owner was highly communicative, welcoming , and informative replying immediately to any pre- booking queries. Likewise the local manager was warm and practically supportive.
Wholeheartedly recommended. Our group of four had a really re-energizing holiday in a very special house/ location. Many thanks!
Beautiful peaceful location, wonderful property - just perfect
Fabulously well equipped property in the most beautiful location, with wonderful views. Great pool. Love the pétanque court. So nice to have a wonderfully peaceful property within walking distance of a great little town.
I would recommend this property to anyone.
What a lovely review, thank you for your kind words and we hope to see you again soon.
A fantastic villa in a beautiful location
We have stayed in many villas in the Flayosc area over the years and this is up there with, if not the best. The photos do not do the villa justice, as the place is huge with a magnificent open plan lounge and kitchen. All living areas and bedrooms have air conditioning which is great on those hot August days. The pool and view from it are to die for. The villa is peaceful and secluded yet within a short bike ride away from both Flayosc and Lorgue. The booking process was very simple and efficient. On arrival we were greeted by Judith and Keith who made us feel very welcome. They had the fridge stocked with milk and chilled wine along with a huge bowl of fruit. We were reassured that they were only a phone call away should we have any problems or questions. All in all a first class villa with a first class service. We have already booked again for 2017.
We are so glad you enjoyed the villa and your stay. Thank you for being great guests and leaving everything in such good order. Judith and Keith thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and are looking forward to seeing you again next year.
