About Davinia Dorrian
My husband and I bought a plot of land after one week's holiday in Polis. We loved the area so much and were very lucky to get a plot on the hills overlooking Latchi harbour. As we live in a Railway Cottage in a very secluded area in Sussex, it was important for us to have somewhere that was very scenic and quiet but close to nice restaurants. We thought the villa would provide us with a good escape from our teenage children but they have now all grown and are giving us an ever increasing number of grandchildren which, much to my husband's chagrin, I cannot leave for more that 3 weeks without believing they will forget me. Hence we just travel over for short breaks now. Leaving the villa available for rent a few weeks a year. We had the house built and have continued to ensure it is updated and well maintained to our standards which I can assure you are quite high.
Davinia Dorrian purchased this Villa in 2002
Why Davinia Dorrian chose Neo Chorio
Latchi harbour is a 5 minute drive away and has plenty of village tavernas and beautiful yachts to ogle at, together with a bank and a few shops. Polis is a further 10 minutes drive with more facilities and a very good supermarket. I must not forget to mention opticians where glasses are approx half of the UK price. The beaches are quite stony but the fact they are quiet even during the high season is one of their high points to us. You can hire boats or take a leisure cruise, which includes an on board BBQ, to the Blue Lagoon which is a beautiful day out and you really can see fishes through the 6/10 ft of water. There are many hiking routes through the Akamas peninsular, a very beautiful nature reserve, where you can see many different bird and fauna.
What makes this Villa unique
The villa is situated on a hill just down from Neo Chorio village which has a beautiful church, a convenience store, bank (although this is situated in a living room), a coffee shop and two tavernas. The village is the beginning of the Akamas peninsula where many hikers travel to visit during the cooler months. I would recommend you do hire a car as there are many places to visit. We do occasionally walk to Latchi do remember you need to reserve some energy for the walk back up the hill. Having said that taxis are available and not too expensive. The villa has all facilities to make you holiday just as enjoyable if you never go out. The swimming pool has a beautiful view and the garden is secluded. The area is quiet and peaceful and seems to be loved by all who visit.

A lovely Villa with nice view.
Davinia was excellent and the whole process was quick and easy
A wonderful villa in a tranquil setting.
From booking the villa to leaving, we had a tremendous week in Neo Chorio. The peace and quiet of the villa was only matched by the view to the mountains and sea. Davinia was fantastic, providing us with all the details to enable us to really enjoy our stay, including some great restaurant recommendations.
We’d love to return.
Many thanks for your comments - we are just very pleased you enjoyed your visit. We mainly purchased our plot of land because of the view which we still enjoy and love.
Vey well equipped, stunning views, lovely pool.
Very quiet spot, with no immediate neighbours. The view is fantastic, as is the villa. You do need a car as there isn't really anything in easy walking distance (in the heat).
Great restaurant's within a 10 minute drive....as is the beach. Our favourite was the municipal beach in Polis, abut a 15 minute drive.
Paphos waterpark is very good.
A Great Villa with lovely views.
My wife & I had a brilliant holiday staying in this lovely villa, it was clean, well equipped and very comfortable in a quit peaceful location.
The pool area was just right for our needs with a lovely secluded patio area off to the side for those el fresco barbeques.
The fishing village of Latchi is just a short drive down the hill where you'll find lovely tavernas and restaurants.
The panoramic views over the bay are wonderful and one of the best bits is sitting on the terrace with a sundowner watching the sunset.
We would recommend this villa for your family holiday - thank you so much for letting us stay and we will be back.
A lovely villa in a lovely area. August is hot hot hot in Cyprus but the pool area has a cool breeze and stunning views. The beaches are pleasant but the area is a hotspot for locals during August. The Blue Lagoon is magicial. Lots of room for friends and family with a garden for BBQ and drinks. Air-con is a life saver and wi-fi worked fine. TV not great and car hire is strongly recommended. Shops in village ok but better ones are located in the harbour which is a 20 min walk there and 40 min walk on the way back up the hill with a few pauses for breath. We're looking to book again in September and cannot wait.
Unwind in comfort
We had a fabulous holiday staying at this modern, comfortable bungalow in Neo Chorio. It was very clean, well furnished and equipped and we liked the quiet location and uncrowded beaches nearby. The view of the bay from the terrace is stunning. The pool was great and is enclosed by railings, important if young children are with you. There are lots of things to do locally but you do need a car to get the most out of your holiday. We hope to come again soon.
Less than 5 minutes drive from the villa are beaches which although a little stoney are beautifully clear with the water remaining warm until November and are unspoilt by crowds who prefer the noise and sandy beaches of Coral Bay a 30 minute drive away. Turtles lay eggs on some local beaches - the nests are well marked to avoid damage. Within a few minutes drive you can find a beach taverna offering sun beds, shades and food but still peaceful.
The villa is approximately a 50 minute drive from Paphos airport and 2½ hours drive from Larnaca. Neo Chorio village is within walking distance but unless you are a keen walker I would recommend hiring a car to make the most of the surrounding area, especially if you are interested in seeing Droussia - a village populated by goats. It is a lovely drive to and through the Paphos Forest.
Neo Chorio is a 15 minute walk uphill, quicker coming down. Latchi harbour a 10 minute drive. 30 minutes walk. Polis 15 minutes drive. You can make a day trip driving to the Troodos Mountains or go by boat from Latchi to Paphos or the Blue Lagoon which is a lovely trip allowing time for swimming and a BBQ lunch on board the boat. There are many historical sites both locally and within the Paphos area and if you are interested it is worth visiting the Cyprus Tourist centre in Polis.
Neo Chorio's village store supplies all needs but I would recommend you go to Polis for a full supermarket shop if required. Banking facilities are available locally. Both Latchi and Polis have good sea food restaurants most of which also offer a wide range of other dishes, enabling you to sample many Cypriot delicacies and excellent well cooked basic dishes. A resume of local restaurants is available in the villa. I would recommend a one day trip is to the Koulos winery which offers an excellent tappas style lunch with an opportunity to taste their wine. We can recommend an excellent car hire company and/or collection from and to the airport.
