Stay at your own private, luxurious two-level townhouse in the small, upscale 36-unit Tamarack Townhouse property. Located just across the street from the new Base Village and Treehouse Kid's Adventure Center, approximately 200 yard walk to Village Express high-speed chairlift and Sky Cab gondola. It's easy to ski down for lunch, and then head back out to the slopes. Two large private outdoor hot tubs and a heated outdoor pool are in the center of the Tamarack complex and they are for the exclusive use of the Tamarack owners and guests.

Our unit, Tamarack #5, has been completely renovated 'down to the studs'. The kitchen is fully-equipped with stainless steel cookware and cutlery. An in-unit full size front-loading washer/dryer set and a high-efficiency forced air furnace with central humidifier add further to your comfort.

We are the actual property owners -- not a property management company -- and we keep our townhouse in excellent condition. We love this place and are constantly upgrading and improving the amentities.


For the 2015-16 season, a new 50 gallon high-efficiency water heater was installed, to ensure plenty of hot water for showering and bathing. All lighting was updated with new bright 10-year LEDs. A new stainless steel dishwasher was installed to replace the old one that had become noisy. New ceramic dinnerware, new master bathroom towels and bathmats were also added.

For the 2014-15 season, new 6-panel closet doors were installed in the master bedroom to replace the outdated mirrored doors.

For the 2013-14 season, a new custom sleeper sofa (Day & Night queen sleeper from Room & Board, with thick, high-density foam mattress) and matching loveseat, were installed in the living room (see photos).

In 2012, a new high-efficiency sealed gas insert was installed in the living room fireplace, and new carpeting throughout the unit was installed in November 2012.

For the 2010-11 season, we installed all new stainless kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave) and added granite slab countertops with new sinks, in the kitchen and both bathrooms.

In 2009-10, we replaced all of our televisions and installed a 40' Sony LCD HDTV , connected to a DVD player, above the fireplace in living room. So after a fabulous day on the slopes, you can cook dinner in a beautiful new kitchen, relax and watch your favorite DVD in front of the fire! We also have a password-protected WiFi network, so you can surf the internet from anywhere in the unit (or on the front deck).


The kitchen and living room are on the main level, and the bedrooms are upstairs. The master suite is large and has a Simmons Beautyrest king-size bed, a gas fireplace, a 32' LCD HDTV and a private bathroom. The second bedroom is smaller and has 2 Simmons Beautyrest extra-long twin beds, a 19' LCD TV/DVD combo and a view of the slopes.

No smoking permitted, no pets allowed.

We have been avid skiers and hikers for many years, and have always loved spending time in the mountains. After multiple visits to Colorado, we decided that Snowmass Village was the ideal place to have a vacation property.

Why John and Kathy chose Northwest Colorado

We chose to purchase Tamarack #5, because it was the perfect size in the perfect location. It is a two story townhouse in a small 36 unit complex, located directly across the street from the new Base Village at Snowmass, Ski School and Treehouse Kid's Adventure Center. A short 200 yard walk gets you to the Snowmass ski lifts, and you are able to ski down within 100 yards when you come home for lunch or at the end of the day. Although skiing at Snowmass is our favorite, your lift ticket is also valid at the 3 other local mountains (Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk), which are all an easy, free bus ride away.

What makes this townhome unique

Our unit is very much like a small single-family home, with a separate private entry and ski locker. In addition, the living space does not share any walls with other units and there are no upstairs or downstairs neighbors to disturb your tranquility. The 2 giant hot tubs and large heated outdoor pool were completely redone in 2008, and are exclusively for the use of the Tamarack owners and guests.

Perfection in Snowmass

This was our first visit to John and Kathy's home. During booking, before arrival, and while we were there, John was super helpful, responsive and accommodating.

The condo was perfect for our family of four- the living space isn't large, but accommodated the 4 of us perfectly, and is super comfy. The kitchen is modern and had all necessities. Great wifi, comfy beds, everything of high quality and plentiful.

Location wise, Tamarack 5 couldn't be better-a 5 minute walk to base village, under 5 min drives to restaurants, Village mall, the market. We can't wait to return!

Great Snowmass Getaway

We brought our children to ski in Snowmass as their Christmas present and we stayed through New Years. Everything was great. This specific Tamarack condo has the best location - it is the closest to the slopes - a very easy walk for all of us. This made it convenient to come in for lunch (which can save a lot of money for a family of 5). There is an outdoor closet to store snowboards and skis which really cutdown on clutter and chaos inside. The condo was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Coordinating with the owners was professional and easy. We are all ready to go back!

Excellent Condo for skiers of all level

Wonderful location and Condo! We had a party of four - two adults and two kids. This was perfect for dropping off and picking up your kids in ski school then the adults can go ski at their leisure. Short walk for all of us to the base of Snowmass so if someone wanted to stop skiing early and or go back to Condo and eat lunch it was easy. Condo is in a great location, parking was right next to the unit so this was a huge plus. Nice layout, comfy and cozy. This was our first time at Snowmass and it was the best ski trip we have had as a family. We normally go skiing once or twice a year for the past 15 years. Loved it and excellent communication with the owners!! We would suggest stopping at a larger major grocery store (City Market) before you get to the Condo and load up on food, drinks etc. as local store is small, not much of a selection, and pricey.

New years 2014. 10 night stay

Awesome condo. Perfect for family of 4. Excellent location. Condo right next to parking stall. Not like that for most units in the complex. Condo very close to the base of snowmass - Just cross the street, walk through the lichenhearth condo parking, and you're at the kids ski school. 5 minute walk if you're taking your time. Lots of blankets, sheets, towels. They provide laundry detergent, dish detergent, paper towels and garbage bags. Most vacation rentals do not. The condo looks brand new and has the best quality sofa bed I have ever seen. I'm going to get one for my own home - that's how comfortable it was. Appliances look brand new. Has the basic cookware, bakeware, dishes and cooking utensils. Owners very easy to wk with. Responds to emails within 1 day. Excellent cleaning crew.

Aspen fun!

We had such a blast in Aspen from the 9th-13th of January 2015! Aspen has so much variety to offer, and the condo provided excellent comfort when we needed that home space to relax. The jacuzzi & pool were great, never too crowded. Snowmass was unbelievably close, just a quick crossing of the street out front and you could get onto lifts and gondolas. We loved Aspen and Highlands (we hiked to Highland bowl - what an experience!) but had an epic powder day (snowed all day) at Snowmass that we will never forget, such a nice open mountain with so much to explore! We found the kitchen to be well supplied with all the things we needed (even a big crockpot), which is very important if you want to cook at home a little! Plenty of towels, toilet paper and heat. Shuttles are very easy to use, if the one you need doesn't pull up right out front, there's a transit station right up the hill at Snowmass Village and you can easily access the bus to Aspen, Buttermilk and Highlands. Noise of the buses or road was never a problem even though the street is close. We would LOVE to return to Aspen and felt very lucky to have had such a great experience!'re in Aspen! THANKS OWNERS!!
