Julia and Peter relocated to France in 2006.
Our daughter was 11 at the time so has been educated in the french system since, studied at the Sorbonne in Paris for 2 years & now on an exchange year in Durham UK.
We redeveloped the barn for the Gite and continue to renovate the farm house.....
......Whist running a business, renovating and updating buildings along side the electrical and plumbing business.
When not 'working' we have fun searching out the local vineyards, with a bit of tasting of course...
Julia purchased this barn in 2006

It felt like a 'home from home' whilst house hunting here, we look forward to spending a lot more time in the Tarn!
An incredible gite only wish we had longer, great hospitality and comfort, an amazing area with so much to explore! Molly & Vinny.
Wow, what an incredible gite beautiful terrace & interior we had a wonderful time here Liliana loved outside. Corin, Mireille & Liliana.
What a lovely welcome superb accommodation we were totally spoilt with your barn and wished we'd stay longer. great value!
A beautiful gite in a lovely part of France a pleasure to return here after visiting the local markets we where lucky to have stayed here.
We had a wonderful stay at Julia and Peter's gite. They could not do enough for us and made us feel very welcome. The weather was wonderful the gite is spectacular. Would love to go back again.
It's hard not to over embellish about this lovely gite, which has been tastefully converted and is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Julia and Peter are fabulous hosts, giving us our own space yet always on hand when assistance is required.
The Tarn is a wonderful region to explore with an abundance of attractive villages/towns and the fantastic markets, selling locally grown produce, kept us well stocked.
Top of our wish list to visit again before too long.
We were looking for a week of peace and occasional mad forays on bikes. Certainly got that and loved the feeling of isolation yet within easy reach of the local village to where we arrived by bus from Toulouse where we had stayed to enjoy this historic city. The bus journey was easy (no change) and Julia met us in the village. Of course a car would enable us to have got out more but we had some friends passing through and we made a grand tour of the region on a couple of days so we had everything. There is plenty to see and the Tarn river valley is lovely. A BBQ on the terrace was memorable. Bed very comfy with all of super quality. Just hope to be able to return one day.
We have just booked this charming and picturesque gite for the second time after experiencing various other properties in this region, nothing compared to La Lande. The owners are a delight and this property is a huge credit to them. The furnishings are boutique like, the converted barn is of impeccable standard and the welcome basket is a selection of genuine regional produce to get you started. Could not recommend highly enough. Can't wait to come back in 7 weeks! The Xxx
A recommander !
We were very pleased by the gite. It is perfectly equiped, very clean, and easy to leave. Quiet area. Large garden (this was a very positive surprise, as this was not so visible on the photos from the website) and everything to relax. To note: weather was perfect, and we appreciated the very small wind to cool down (the region seems to show some wind). The region is really nice (Haut Languedoc, Les Grandes Causses, Monts de Lacaune,..), Albi is a no miss, Ambialet has some interests, and food is amazing. This gite will be definitively in our favorites. Julia and Peter were very discrete, and that's true, we needed that.
