We retired to Cyprus 8 years ago after buying our
first holiday home here 10 years ago. We found it harder to go back to England each time we came out
for a holiday, so we decided to sell up in England and buy a bigger bungalow to live in and rent the one in our
We have settled in Ayia Thekla and this is now home, it is a lovely quiet coastal area not to far away from Ayia
Napa which is a lively resort with plenty to do.
We have two grown up sons who are both married and we know have four lovely grandchildren. Who come out
to visit us often.
The Owner purchased this bungalow in 2004
We fell in love with Ayia Thekla when we came out on
holiday and decided to buy our first bungalow here. It is
a lovely quiet area with a nice coastal path and some nice quiet little beaches. It is not to far away from Ayia Napa which is a lively holiday area with a lovely
Our property is in a quiet cul-de-sac with its own
secluded garden and pool. We have a water cooler in the property which is filled up for each guests and we are there to greet them personally and show them around the bungalow and answer any questions they
The villa was very clean and essentials such as tea, coffee, milk and water were all provided for us on arrival, not forgetting the bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge. We were met on arrival and shown around the property by John and Margaret and it was good to know that they only lived about a mile away should there be any problems. We had a very pleasant stay with my sister and her husband but a car is essential for a stay at this property as even the supermarket is not within walking distance. This was not a problem for us as we always have a car and my only criticism of this property is it's location. Having said that if you are looking for a quiet and restful holiday I would recommend a stay at this property.
We have just spent 10 days in this lovely Villa. There is everything you could ever want here, which makes it a very “homely” place to stay. We did not encounter any problem at all, but I feel sure, if we had have done, it would have been promptly “sorted” by the very friendly owners, John and Margaret.
We thoroughly enjoyed walking the many lovely Beaches, also visiting Cape Grecko, Zygi and Potamos. We also took the InterCity Bus to Nicosia and crossed over at the checkpoint to the Northern part of Cyprus.
However, we would recommend you hire a car to get around, which we did, although, having said that, there is a bus stop just a few minutes walk away, which we used quite frequently.
This Villa is in a residential area, so it is very quiet and peaceful, however, you also have the added joy of knowing not far away is plenty of nightlife and restaurants. Go ahead and book this Villa. I am positive you will not be disappointed. George and Rosemary Honey, Sunningwell, Oxfordshire
We arrived at the villa about midnight, a little later than we planned. We still met a smiling and happy John who explained all the points about the villa and showed us all around the facilities there. My partner and i have stayed in several types of accommodation in Cyprus including villa,s, this villa has all the facilities required to make a very good holiday. We enjoyed our stay at John and Margaret,s villa and would recommend the villa to family and friends. We intend returning to the villa at a later date. Thank you John and Margaret for a lovely holiday Tim and Michelle Suffolk.
We have just spent the last 2 weeks at John and Margaret's villa and it is lovely, it has everything that you need. This holiday has to be one of the most relaxing holidays that we have ever had.
If you want to stay at the villa to sunbath you have the lovely pool to keep you cool.
The only one point I can't stress enough is the need for a car and it would probably be most cost efficient if you arranged this at the airport.
Ayia Thekla is a lovely place with loads of lovely beaches and if you want to go into Ayia Napa its not too far away but its great that its not right on your doorstep.
We spent the day at Protaras and Cape Grecco which was lovely.
A special thanks to John and Margaret for helping us with a car and recommending places to visit and also making sure we were ok.
I will be recommending your villa to our family and friends and we hope to go back in the future.
We really enjoyed being in this villa. It is fully equiped with everything you could need and more..including an amazing pool. You will need a car to get around and then there are many beautiful beaches if you want to venture out. We visited quite a few restaurants including Tonys in Aya Napa, a beautiful traditional taverna with the most amazing cypriot food. Thank you to John and Margaret for making our stay so enjoyable. Hope to see you both again in the near future.
We have been staying in villas in Cyprus for a good few years now, having previously stayed in hotels/apartments out there while the kids were younger, and this is by far the best! Its very well equipped, maintained, clean and has plenty of space. We came out for 2 weeks with our sons age 14yr and 18yr and it was just perfect. The area is beautiful and as its on a residential street has no hustle and bustle......its so peaceful and quiet. Its 30mins from the airport and is only a short drive away from the nightlife/shopping of Ayia Napa if wanted. We picked up a car from the airport and while a car would be very useful, there are bus stops just a short walk away on to the main road. The pool was a must for us as the lads love swimming and it didnt disappoint! The villa is very private and the outside area lovely for a nice relaxing evening with the bbq and a few drinks. The beaches are within walking distance as is the local shop but the surrounding areas of Parallimini, Protaras and Larnaca are a only short drive and with the junction to the motorway being nearby driving further afield, as we did, is easy. Set in a fab location this villa is like a home from home and would be suitable for young and old alike. We will be back and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you John and Margaret
Sandy bays and rocky inlets surround the villa. A few minutes drive from the villa you will find Ayia Thekla Beach with its white sand and crystal clear water. Its protected by the waves by a small island just of shore which you can wade to. All along the beaches of Ayia Napa facilities of all sea sports are provided including windsurfing, sailing, canoes, pedaloes, motor boats, water skiing, speed boats, parachutes, scuba diving and more.
Larnaca Airport is 40 min drive away on an excellent motorway link. Airport collection and return can be arranged, price on request.

The town of Ayia Napa is approximately 10 min drive with its historic monastery, cosmopolitan night life and vibrant harbour. The stretch of coast line has some stunning scenery and secluded bays to explore. Visit Cape greco national park (popular with divers) and stunning sunset, or the many nearby greek villages, such as Sotera, Vrysoulles or Leopetri. Potamos Harbour is also within walking distance and has 2 small family run Tavernas for you to sample. The road from Ayia Thekla to Ayia Napa is lined with busling night life, taverns and bars raging from romantic to family style. Ayia Napa is noted for its harbour side fish restaurants with an abundance of fresh local catches. As the town has developed there is know an international flavour to the town with Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican restaurants and traditional Cypriot taverns serving mouth watering dishes to suit all budgets. Try the Cypriot meze washed down with ouzo! The island of Cyprus is very popular for weddings, and our neighbours are very friendly and welcoming.
