Our immaculately maintained 3 bed luxury villa, 'Waters Edge', is located in the Longmeadow section of Rotonda West, on the Cape Haze peninsula. Backing onto a canal the villa is surrounded by trees and palms which enhance the peace and quiet of the location. The perfect place to relax after a round of golf, enjoying the local beaches or after visiting one of Florida’s many attractions. The villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, is fully air-conditioned, furnished throughout to a high standard and extremely well equipped. The master suite and second bedroom have direct access to the pool area via patio sliders, as does the lounge. Rotonda’s location means you are never far away from beautiful beaches, excellent shopping, magnificent attractions and superb golf courses - simply Florida at its best...
We have just returned from our trip to Florida and wanted to write to say how delighted we were with our stay at your lovely home in Rotonda - Ian & Julie, April 2012
Just to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your beautiful villa in Rotonda. We had a fantastic holiday. The house was really comfortable and very well equipped - Kathy, Gary & family, April 2012
Had a fantastic time and the villa was everything we had hoped. Ken particularly enjoyed the wild life that could be viewed from the pool area The BBQ was an added bonus! Everything we needed was provided - Lyn & Ken, June 2011
The villa was just perfect -immaculately presented, and with everything we could possibly have needed. We like to spend a lot of time outside, so we really appreciated the pool deck and the covered area. Suffice to say that the villa was a perfect retreat for both long, lazy days in the sun and as a great place to come home to after a day out - Helen, April 2011.
A very spacious, immaculately clean, well-maintained and superbly equipped villa in a lovely, quiet setting with naturally vegetated lots adjacent giving a real sense of privacy. It was great too to have the security of a proper garage.
Booking and all arrangements went smoothly thanks to prompt and efficient responses to our many questions from Colin and Val.
Our main holiday activity is birdwatching and Rotonda West is very well located for easy access to a wide range of reserves especially to the north and along the coast. In the immediate vicinity (Englewood) we'd recommend Lemon Bay Park (Great Horned Owl and lots of warblers) and Blind Pass Beach Park (Magnificent Frigatebirds amongst many others) but any birder in the area should really make the trip up to Celery Fields in Sarasota (...just about every Florida bird!).

We stayed here at the end of January. It is the most beautifully furnished, wonderfully decorated, and spotlessly clean villa.
Thank you for the wonderful stay in your home in Rotonda. It really was like home from home being fully equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic time whether we were spending the day relaxing by the pool, enjoying the shopping and eating in the malls of nearby Port Charlotte or taking part in the hunt for pretty shells and sharks teeth on one of the many local beaches. Our highlight of our holiday was definitely walking out to the inlet at stump pass and wading in the water while wild Dolphins play just a few meters away.
The white sandy beaches of the Gulf Coast are perfect for taking in those spectacular sunsets and most are only 10-15 minutes drive away. They include the beaches and parks at Englewood, Stump Pass, Manasota Key, Lemon Bay, Don Pedro and Gasparilla Island (Boca Grande). Most are run by the Park Service and are unspoilt and uncrowded, with good facilities. Besides swimming, fishing and shelling there are plenty of opportunities for other water sports like boating, kayaking, jet-skiing and sailing

For more extensive and gift shopping the Port Charlotte Mall is less than 20 minutes away. Also on I-75 between Venice and Sarasota is University Mall the newest and largest on the Gulf Coast of SW Florida.
There are many places to fish or hire a boat. The Coast of Gasparilla Island is renowned for deep-sea fishing for Marlin. Boca Grande town, the island's lighthouse and beaches are a must to visit and admire with beautiful vistas as you cross the causeway to the island.
Florida wouldn’t be Florida without Orlando and whilst at our villa many of our guests choose to make a trip to Orlando to visit the Disney, Universal and Sea World theme parks. It can be a very long and exhilarating day for the family but a tiring one, therefore we often suggest a stopover for one or two nights at one of the many budget hotels. This means you are more refreshed to enjoy the parks and the journey will be less of a chore. Of course when you return to the villa its back to relaxing times around the pool and at the beach.
Directly to the north the beautiful bays and city of Tampa is a 90 minute drive, and well within daily reach, is the excellent Busch Gardens, Tampa. Theme park thrills alongside the a Zoological park. Sarasota is a little under an hour with its coastal waterways, scenic views and designer shopping and Bradenton with its museums and history.
The Myakka Nature Reserve is one of Florida’s oldest and largest nature attractions and is less than an hour's drive away. Myakka is popular for hiking, fishing, camping and, above all, wildlife observation. There is also Lemon Bay nature park just a few minutes from the villa on Placida Road. Also worth a visit is Old Englewood village itself.
Within an hours drive south is Punta Gorda (Fishermans Village – a pier with local speciality shops) and Fort Myers (Edison and Ford Houses) plus the unmissable Sanibel and Captiva Islands further on out to the coast. A trip to the ‘Everglades’ will take around 2 ½ hours and offers Indian reservations, airboat rides and alligator viewing close up at the park stop for free. A visit to vibrant Miami is 3 hours away. We provide a map and guest information pack at the villa.
