This 2 bedroom cottage is located just off the Ring of Kerry approx 10 min drive from the picturesque bustling town of Kenmare, famous for its award winning restaurants and pubs. The house is south facing and enjoys stunning views to the Caha Mountains and the Beara Peninsula. Nearby Coss Strand, Pat Spillane's Bar, the Ring O'Kerry Golf and Country Club, Templenoe Pier (for sea swimming and sailing) and the forest walks of Dromore Wood are all within 5 min driving distance. Local activity centres offer a wide range of water sports, including sailing and kayaking. Other local amenities include forest walks, hill walking, horse riding and pony trekking, trout / salmon and deep sea fishing.

The property is an excellent base for exploring the Iveragh, Beara and Dingle Peninsulas and for day drives to Killarney National Park.

The owner is a wheelchair user, so the property has been adapted to be ideal for persons of reduced mobility. Pets welcome by arrangement, but must be kept out of bedroom area. Sleeps 4/5.

Gros coup de coeur !

Nous cherchions une villégiature dans ce coin d’Irlande, et avons découvert ce gîte où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable, au calme complet, dans en environnement verdoyant.

A proximité de Kenmare et toutes ses commodités (accès facile à 10 min en voiture), la maison est bien située pour découvrir le Kerry ; splendides randos à faire dans les environs, et pas mal de découvertes aux alentours dès qu’on sort des sentiers battus.

Le contact avec la propriétaire a été excellent, la location aisée et en toute confiance.

Le bungalow est confortable et vraiment bien équipé, très propre et spacieux (idéal pour une famille de 4), avec une très belle vue sur la baie et les montagnes de Beara. Une attention particulière de la propriétaire à mettre à disposition les produits de première nécessité qu’on n’a pas toujours envie d’acheter lors de courts séjours (aliments de base, condiments, lessive, etc).

Bien vite revenir à Templenoe Heights lors d'un prochain séjour dans le Kerry !

Charming Country Cottage

Great location near Kenmare

Beautiful newly remodeled home with modern appliances, Wi-Fi, and washer/dryer. Owner and property manager were both very efficient and reliable about keeping in touch with us and getting us the information we needed to get checked in and out. Margaret also gave us good Kenmare area restaurant recommendations. We had a great time and loved the location! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful house and garden, quite location

Everything was perfect: it is a quite place but close enough to the main road; so its ideal for relaxing at home and for going on trips. The house is lovely, very bright with everything you might need and even more. The place was spotless. The garden is beautiful. The sister of the owner welcomed us. She lives close by, just in case that help would be necessary.

We really enjoyed our time there.

Charming holidays

Excellent stay Templenoe Heights house very nice and very well equipped, including disability. Halfway between Kerry and the Berea, with a beautiful sea views, this cottage has really enjoyed us.

The house is an excellent base for exploring the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. Day drives to Killarney National Park, Muckross House gardens and model farm, Gap of Dunloe, Healy Pass, Conor Pass, Glengarriff - Garnish Island, Bantry House, boat trips to Skellig Islands, Sneem, Derrynane, Dingle Peninsula etc. The Iveragh Peninsula is rich in archaeological heritage. Have a picnic - combine a visit to the great pre Christian ring fort at Staigue (not far from the beach at Castlecove) with a trip to the long sandy strand at historic Derrynane (birth place of Daniel O'Connell) towards the south western end of the Peninsula. Or do some nearby sightseeing in Kenmare town, where the Stone Circle is a hidden gem.
