About Josh
We are a family of four with a 22 year and 16 year old. We really enjoy the peace at the villa, we look forward to our holidays when we can meet up with old friends. We brought the villa 10 years ago and have enjoyed furnishing and equipping Villa Huzur to a high standard.
Josh purchased this Villa in 2006
Why Josh chose Dalyan City Center
We decided to buy a Villa in Dalyan after having lovely holidays here, we love the climate, the scenery and the atmosphere in Dalyan. The villa was newly built, we felt the location was important, it enables us to easily walk into Dalyan, but not in a area that is crowded, its lovely to escape the car! Our villa is ideal for the children, gardens to run around in, the pool has two levels so the younger children can play and we have a Turkish seating area with piles of cushions for us to lounge in protected from the sun. As time has passed the gardens have become more established, we love visiting to see how they have changed.
What makes this Villa unique
The villa has a nearby bar, cornershop and haman (Turkish baths). We have equipped the villa for ourselves, so it offers a very family feel with everything you would expect.

Perfect holiday
Really enjoyed our stay here, quiet location loved the enclosed patio area which kept our 1 year old Grandson nice and secure. Everything we needed for a great family holiday. Good distance from the town about a 10 minute walk which was perfect.
Great villa
We really enjoyed at holiday the Villa is in great location nice and quiet yet only a 10 minute walk to the centre. The pool and gardens and well kept.Great choice of restaurants in town although we BBQ most nights. The villa spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
Lovely holiday
The villa was very nice and clean with everything there that we needed. It was very spacious and the pool was lovely. The owners were very helpful and it was very easy to arrange our stay with them, the property manager who we met while we were out there was very friendly and helpful as well. Dalyan was a really nice town with lots of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. There were lots of things to do in the area, we particularly enjoyed the boat trips. We would definitely recommend this villa to friends and are looking forward to arranging another stay there in the future.
Super Villa in Dalyan
June 2014 was our second visit to Villa Huzur having stayed there in September 2013. The villa has everything you could wish for and more, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean.
It is set in a quiet residential area, two minutes from a mini market which is just around the corner and Central Bar, a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you don't fancy walking into town.
Bernice and Martin provide lots of interesting information on what to see and do and have a local contact if you need anything, it's all very easy.
A 20 minute level walk takes you to the town centre which has all the shops and restaurants you could wish for, ATM's, post office and bus stop if you want to go further a field without hiring a car.
Excellent restaurants sit alongside the river where you can watch the sun go down, enjoy good food, wine and beer, see the boats gliding by and if you are lucky catch one of the turtles bobbing up and down.
If you want takeaways and discos this is not the place for you, it's very laid back and all in a great setting by the mountains and river.
Villa Huzur in Dalyan is a really lovely place for a super relaxing holiday and we would definitely recommend it for couples or families.

Map
Coast/Beach:
Iztutu Beach is truly unspoilt, it stretches for 5km of golden sand and has shallow water for 50 metres from shore so it is very safe for swimming. The local council provides cafe, changing facilities and sunbeds. The endangered Loggerhead Turtle returns here to nest between May and September, so it is totally protected from commercialization. It can be reached by Dolmus (minibus) which takes about 20 minutes or you can take a leisurely boat ride which takes about 40 minutes.
Travel:
Villa is 22km from Dalaman Airport. Transfer can be arranged by taxi, which takes about 30 minutes. Prices are £60 return for 4, £70 return for 8; no extra charge for car seats. They collect and pick up regardless of flight times. In Dalyan you don't require a car but if you would like to be a little more adventurous car rental begins from £175 per week. We can provide details of the company we use.
Distances:
Ortaca, the nearest market town is a 20 minute bus ride, the 12 Island tour starts at Gocek, which is 40 mintes away. Saklient Gorge is a hour away. There are many trips on offer from the travel agencies in Dalyan Village, the furthest being Ephesus and Pamukali which takes two days.
Further Details:
Dalyan is a perfect retreat for wildlife lovers, there are over 200 different species of birds including kingfishers, storks and herons, and you may of course also spot turtles or flying fish. Dalyan Village centre is a short pleasant 10-minute walk from the villa. Here you can find shops, restaurants and bars. Dalyan still retains its Turkish charm and you will find the people very welcoming, you can choose to sample the local seafood in one of the riverside restaurants or eat in one small food bars where you select your food by seeing what has been cooked that day. On Saturday Dalyan has a exciting market that bustles with activity, when the local farmers bring their produce in to be sold. This is an opportunity to purchase your souvenirs and practice your bartering skills. Travel northwards on river Dalyan and you will find the pleasant village of Koycegiz. Along the way you can sample mud baths, thermal springs and view the wildlife on the tranquil lake Koygeciz. For those that tire of relaxing by the pool or gazing out to sea, Dalyan can provide many diversions. There are numerous boat trips, Turkish Baths, white water rafting, horse riding, snorkelling, diving, jeep safaris or you may just choose to hire a bike! There are many trips you can make in the surrounding area, local tour operators will be able to advise you, we highly recommend visiting Saklikent Gorge in the summer and the 12 Island tour which explores the islands around the Turkish Coast. For those that want to travel further, there is the beautiful bay at Fethiye and beach and lagoon of Oludeniz. For practical matters there is a little corner shop where you can get your daily bread (it often stays open until midnight!), there are supermarkets, banks, post office, cash points in the village.
