About Enda Cunnane

I have worked and lived abroad for over 10 years and recently moved back to Ireland and I currently work for O2/Three in Ireland. My wife Aoife is a primary school teacher; we have three small childred aged 3, 5, 6 . Over the past few years, I have greatly enjoyed receiving enquiries and managing bookings from clients and receiving some great feedback on the apartment and the area. I try to ensure that I provide the personal and professional service level that holidaymakers are looking for and I firmly believe that the finish of this property is as high as you are likely to find anywhere around the lake. If you choose to rent it for your holiday, I'm sure you and your family will have a fantastic time in the area!

Enda Cunnane purchased this apartment in 2008

Why Enda Cunnane chose Lake Como

I went to Argegno for the first time for the wedding of a close friend and I could not get over the tranquil beauty of the location. Lake Como is a special part of the world, there's nothing better than waking up in the morning, looking out of the window, and seeing that beautful and tranquil lake. It's also a calming place for people of all ages....and there is plenty to do whether you're 2 years old or 80 years old. My wife and have always wanted a second home that we could use for ourself and our growing family, nicely furnished, with a lake view and swimming pool, convenient access to restaurants and bakeries and a village. Fortunately, an opportunity arose to buy the apartment and we were delighted to purchase the property as it is an area that we will happily visit again and again.

What makes this apartment unique

We know what we are getting when we visit Argegno as it has all the things we looked for when we searched to buy a property. We normally fly into Milan and it takes approx 1.15 hrs to drive to the property from the airport. The biggest benefit of the property is its location; just 2 mins walk to the village and lake ferry. It has secure underground parking and a private swimming pool. The apartment also has a lovely private garden which is ideal for enjoying the view, barbecuing and chilling. The small restaurant on Isola Island is my own personal favourite place to visit nearby - serves an 8 course menu and features photos of famous visitors including Jennifer Anniston and Henry Kissinger. There are also many restaurants and plenty good ones in Argegno – Villa Belvedere is my favourite restaurant in the village

Nice appartment with great location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at Edna's appartment from 15th to 22nd of July. The location is great with a nice seaview and only 200m walk from the Argegno center with many nice restaurants. Edna was also super helpful during the stay if there were any issues or questions that needed attention. Highly recommended!

A comfortable apartment in a lovely town with views of a beautiful scene.

  • 4 of 5

The apartment had everything we needed and a very accommodating and friendly owner. We had questions and he responded immediately by phone and email including contacting the local person to come and explain all we asked. The property was well situated and a short though steep walk to the village where there were a variety of good restaurants and the all important ferry landing. We didn't really need a car. Of course the setting was breathtaking. All and all a very nice stay.

A wonderful stay in Argegno

  • 5 of 5

I had a fantastic short stay in this appartment this August. I have to say, I couldn't have asked for more. We had no problems finding the property. The Youtube videos were particularly useful in finding the apartment. We found the property as advertised, in pristine condition, well-equipped with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the pool- very clean and very private with comfortable sun loungers. The property is very close to the town centre so you can zip down to the little shop or the restaurants or bars. What I enjoyed most was sitting out in the garden in the evening with a glass of Prosecco, watching the evening sunlight on the lake- most relaxing, a great escape. I would highly recommend this property. We found it very good value, well located and well eqipped. Argegno itself is a lovely little town. The beach area has been nicely developed since my last visit to provide food, services etc. The ferry service is great, providing relaxing access to the many towns and attractions around the lake. I'll definitely be back in Argegno and hope to stay in this property again.

Stunning views.

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful, dramatic views. Short walk down to cute village with restaurants, wine bar and gelato. Only one shop so if shopping is important to you consider another village around the lake. Nice leather furniture in living area. Washing machine was a plus. No A/C but fan was great and nights cooled off to be comfortable. Limited space for luggage especially in one bedroom. Washing machine in bath served as only place to keep 4 toiletry bags. Was ok for us as only stayed two nights. No hand towels provided.

Well located but basic accommodation

  • 2 of 5

A well located apartment with excellent communication from the owner ahead of visit however apartment was basic with poor quality furniture. Satellite TV channels were not available, kitchen was basic. Garden patio furniture urgently needs updating, cheap plastic table and chairs did not lend themselves to outside living. There was also a lack of privacy with the lounge / kitchen room opening onto the grass area next to a public road.

Owner's Response: Mark - I am really sorry to read your feedback and it is not in keeping with feedback received from other quests, I will however take an action on all points raised and will ask my wife to help with outdoor decor for future quests. Thanks for taking the time to feedback!

Good apartment in a charming village

  • 4 of 5

Have had a good week in Argegno. Fortunately weather was very kind to us until the morning we left. Loved having our apartment with a garden - would not have been so keen to have either of the two upstairs ones as balconies not big enough for whole family to sit on and no barbeque. Took trip to Bellagio on ferry - quite pricey be warned (16 euro per adult for hopper ticket) and limited ferries so no option of staying out for dinner.

Market day in Argegno was monday which we missed as we needed a supermarket run. Biggest is Bennett in Como but otherwise we found a great one in Lenno which was more than adequate.

Had visit to Villa del Balbianello - worth a visit but do go inside as well as gardens to make it worth it.

Apartment accomodation was fine for our family of four adults - kitchen equipped well. Some things are getting a bit tired eg loungers around pool and the garden umbrella is a bit small but we had a great time nevertheless. We noticed that the apartments are up for sale so check with Enda the owner as to what is happening before you book. He was great with communication by the way. Quick to respond to any queries. Enjoy

Owner's Response: Hi Sue - many thanks for the detailed feedback and trips for other travelers - very helpful. I will be over in a couple of days myself so will look into loungers and just to let you know the apartment has been up for sale (if someone wants to make an offer) for a number of years and in the unlikely case of sale i will ensure all bookings are honoured. thanks for the detailed feedback and would love to welcome you again
