Large, Well-Equipped House with a View
Our large family group thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Trawsfynydd. We had one family with two small children, an aunt, and three grandparents all traveling together. There was plenty of space and options for room arrangements. This would be a wonderful property for several families with children meeting up together, as there are several trundle beds and baby cribs- there is also a trunk of toys! The kitchen had evening needed for cooking meals. The house was very clean. Check in was easy. The beds, as others have mentioned, were a bit springy, but the rooms were cosy, and after being out hiking/sight seeing during the day, we slept well. The property was very centrally located in Snowdonia- a great jumping off point for many locations. The view from the backyard was very nice, and we really enjoyed looking through the photos of the renovation. Another reviewer had mentioned something about water/plumbing issues in the top bathroom- I was a little nervous about it before it arrival, but there was no need to worry- the bathrooms were all in great condition and everything worked properly. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Our stay at Chapel Bethal
Ideal location for us as a group to create a base for Mount Snowdon.
It is 45 minutes drive away and for our large group was great both for size and sleeping arrangements
This next few comments will be the only negative, would of been nice to have beds made up and a little welcome gift of milk, tea bags so we could make a drink after 9 hours travelling, luckily we brought that with us so we could make a drink but the various places I’ve stayed ( of which many ) usually this would be there ready for a weary traveller. The previous guests hasn’t learnt to wash the pans or oven trays properly so we did that. Not the owners fault but those who stay and do not respect those that follow.
The accommodation was excellent, plenty of room, plenty of bathrooms for a large group as well
Very nicely laid out and great for a group stay and base from which to explore the local area or further afield .
In essence the property was ideal for our stay, it is a rare find and looking through the photo album the hard work certainly paid off
Showers were great and plenty of hot water for everyone to shower etc
Overall would recommend this property and would certainly stay again - great dining area seating 10 comfortably
Value for money as well
No complaints for property
Enjoyed our stay
Excellent property, stunning surroundings
We had a great time staying at the chapel. The property was beautiful and very clean. About 40mins from mt snowdon which was perfect for our hiking trip. Thank you very much
Fantastic for a walking weekend
We had a great stay in a very comfortable home. We were a group of 8 friends but we could easily have had more of us there. Beautiful scenery on the doorstep and close to Cader Idris - well worth the effort to walk it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in this part of Snowdonia.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review for the Chapel. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Good for large groups
Ideal for a large party of 3 families, especially with 3 bathrooms. One little niggle was that many of the bedside lamps did not have working bulbs. Beautiful views from the garden, a pity there was not a window in the end of the chapel to allow this to be seen from inside & to let in more natural daylight.
The beaches at Cardigan Bay and the Lleyn Penisula are all within a short drive. The closest beaches are located at Harlech and Porthmadog.
