Modern, luxury furnished 2nd Floor, pool view apartment with large sunny balcony, bbq, WIFI & ideal, central location in Lagos, said to be the most attractive town on the Algarve. 5 minutes walk to Marina and old town centre with fantastic shops, restaurants and bars. 10 minutes walk to breathtaking Meia Praia and town Beaches. A short drive to Praia Dona Ana (the most photographed beach in the Algarve), Praia de Luz, Sagres and Silves. The bus station is a 2 minute walk and is an easy and inexpensive alternative to hiring a car. For car hirers there is an allocated secure parking space in the basement. There are fantastic golf courses all within a 15 mins drive and many supermarkets nearby. The new FIA approved race track is only a 15 minute drive. For entertainment there is dolphin spotting, sailing, water parks, water sports, surfing, museums, churches. The old town cobbled streets are a food lover's paradise. Air-con in all rooms, can be set to hot for winter stays.

About Deborah Harland

We are a married couple with children and have bought the apartment for the family to use but we need to rent the apartment out to help towards the bills. This is a special place for us and we therefore try to keep the apartment spotless for ourselves and for guests. Because we use the apartment a great deal ourselves we have tried to think of all the little things that make a holiday easy.

Why Deborah Harland chose Lagos region

We bought the apartment because we love Portugal especially the Western Algarve and most of all the town of Lagos. The reason we chose this particular apartment is that it is really close to everything, the marina, the beaches and the town and was brand new. We wanted to be able to have a holiday without needing to drive anywhere and we also wanted somewhere with a pool and an apartment overlooking the pool.

Notes on accommodation: Air conditioning is provided throughout and can be set to hot for winter stays. The complex is stylish with a large, beautiful pool and under pool gym and is also child friendly with a children's safe and separate playground area. There is an allocated underground secure car parking space with automatic key entry. Video entry system. There is a large, flat screen TV with main English channels, a DVD player and many guest DVDs already provided. There is WIFI Internet access and an Ipod/Iphone music system. The large, private balcony runs the entire length of the apartment, faces inward to the complex and is directly above the swimming pool area. The location couldn't be any better with a short 5 minute walk to either the Marina or the town centre and another 5 minutes to the beaches. Lagos is surrounded by great golf courses for the keen golfer. Outside: Large 25 metre swimming pool, beautifully landscaped communal gardens, children's play area, communal (small) gymnasium. The apartment offers a large, private terrace which is south facing with an excellent aspect facing inwards towards the pool. There is an inbuilt barbecue (with all the tools), a table, parasol and 4 comfortable, chairs with reclining positions. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included. Towel/linen change and clean at end of first week for a 2 week stay. Property care by local English management company (meet and greet at small extra cost). Other: The south facing terrace overlooks the pool and has table and 4 chairs. There is a Video entry system and there are lifts (or stairs) to all floors.

Fantastic propertyand perfectly situated

This was our second trip to Lagos and it was a foregone conclusion that we would want to stay in the same apartment. Needless to say that we had the most awesome holiday. The apartment is like a "home from home" with everything catered for; a super view of the pool from the balcony, a brilliant powerful shower and comfy beds. We had the best time ever! It was so lovely to arrive to a homely and spotlessly clean apartment and to be able to have a lovely cuppa when we got there. The complex is so pleasant and quiet and the view over the pool from the balcony was great.

A short stroll (less than five minutes) takes you to the harbour and the old town and the beach is stunning with long golden sand. There is a super market in the area and the large fridge in the apartment is great for storing Superbok beer! We arrived later this year than last and it was amazing to arrive at the apartment to find milk, bread and butter! Fernando’s and Al Forja are great places to eat when in the old town too. Looking forward to returning in 2017!

Good location, clean, comfortable and free wifi

Our fourth stay in this apartment - it is in a perfect location near to the marina, promenade and town. It is clean, well equipped with everything you need and has comfy beds.

We enjoyed having breakfast on the sunny balcony every morning and a glass of wine in the evenings.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants all a short walk away. We particularly like the ever popular A Forja (Blue door), Reiss, La Floresta and Veneza to name a few. All the staff are very friendly and helpful they also serve great fresh fish.

There is a local fresh produce market near the bus station which is an experience and good value if you are self catering. There is also a supermarket a short walk away.

All in all there is everything you could wish for and if the weather is good it is perfect. We will be going back and I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough.

First class apartment

We stayed at this apartment for a week in June, the first time we had ever visited Portugal and were very impressed with the location, the apartment was in a quiet residential area but close to the bus station and only 10 mins walk from the wonderful eating places lagos offered. Beautiful beaches within 15 minutes walk and good bus service to Praia de luz and other places and very cheap. The apartment is very secure and has lots of codes needed for access which is very comforting. It is spotless and the beds lovely and comfortable, good storage great kitchen and appliances, TV has plenty of channels and a great iPod for the music we took. Books to read and DVDs are also provided. Everything you could want for a home from home holiday is provided. We really enjoyed it and are looking forward to our return visit next year . Thank you Debbie and Craig for letting us enjoy your holiday home.

Heavenly Home

If you want somewhere that has all the comforts of home, in a quiet location, with all amenities within walking distance and no hills to climb - this is it! We have stayed here 3 times already and are looking forward to returning next year! Breakfast on the sunny balcony overlooking the pool is bliss! The marina, local supermarket and an abundance of places to eat are all within easy reach. If you prefer to eat in the cooking facilities are superb and of course there is also a barbecue! There is underground parking if you hire a car. - what more could you want?

hidden gem

Stayed for one week in March and loved this little apartment. Spotlessly clean and quiet. Gwen who manages the apartment for the owners is really efficient and arranged to show us how to work the new TV system and when we found the hair-dryer malfunctioned, a brand new one arrived within hours. The location within Lagos is brilliant. Cutting through the bus station, the bridge across the river to the marina and the beach is a few minutes on foot, as is the town centre, supermarket and all the shops. You really don't need a car unless you want to travel outside the town. Would definitely stay here again - thank you Craig

This was our fourth stay at the apartment which is truly fantastic, full of all the essential home appliances. The apartment is spotless and very well and comfortably furnished. It is set in lovely surroundings and in a central location, within easy reach of all the great restaurants and shops. Close to the bus station and just a short walk to the train station. A truly great place to stay and I would certainly recommend this apartment to friends.

Special interest holidays:

You will be spoilt for choice with loads of activities close by. From the marina (5 mins walk) you can book dolphin spotting trips with guaranteed viewing or go on a fishing or grotto trip. There are waterparks such as Slide & Splash, Europe's largest water park. Zoomarine is a marine life theme park with an aquarium, dolphin shows, 4D cinema, dolphin interaction and also thrill rides such as the pirate boat and flume ride. There is great coastal walking all around, bike hire and Jeep Safaris. There are great surfing beaches nearby and a sailing school within walking distance. If you like extreme sports you can book sky diving, kite surfing, wind surfing, downhill mountain biking, kayaking. Historic day trips (Silves, Seville, Lisbon) can also be booked, although a lot is already on your doorstep in Lagos. There is also a brand new FIA approved racing track 10k away hosting the World Superbikes competition, 2009 Le Mans, and the A1 Portuguese GP. Nearby agencies can assist.


The beaches around Lagos are some of the most beautiful of the Algarve. The 4km Meia Praia beach is 10 minutes walk as are the town beaches. It has good sporting facilities and restaurants and is ideal for children due to the calm waters. Praia de Dona Ana, which can be reached after a 25 minutes walk from the centre of the town, is said to be the most photographed beach in the Algarve. There are too many others to mention but almost all are cliff lined with golden sand.


Faro airport is a 50 minutes drive (virtually all motor way). Car hire is not essential as you will be in easy walking distance to the Marina, town and beaches. Our management company can arrange taxis or transfers or car hire. Lagos train station is a 5 minute walk and Lagos bus station a 2 minute walk.


50 miles from Faro and 114 miles from Lisbon. 150 miles to Seville.

Further Details:

Lagos is widely reported as the most attractive town on the Algarve. It has avoided the worst elements of modern tourism and instead has chosen to develop its tourism with taste and class. There is a good balance between the modern marina and activities and the charm and history of the Old Portuguese town. The town center is a rambling maze of inter linking cobbled streets, with beautiful shops, restaurants and bars but also fine old architecture and churches. At night throughout the summer there are artists and performance artists and live bands during festivals (which are frequent). The atmosphere is exciting but very safe. Lagos is particularly known for its fine restaurants whether it be Portuguese, Italian, Thai, Indian, Japanese, Tapas, Chinese ... the list is endless and the quality excellent. But if you want to self cater there are good supermarkets within 5 minutes walk, a local fish and vegetable market and all within easy reach by foot. There is even a pull-along trolley bag in the apartment to make you feel at home.

Fees No additional mandatory fees

1) Prices are in UK pounds per week. Prices are based on 2 people sharing ( £50 per week per extra person). A 20% deposit will be required at time of booking and the remainder due 6 weeks prior to your stay. Our local English management lady can assist with any extra arrangements including meet and greet, transfers, car hire, babysitting etc.

2) The prices include all bills, free WIFI throughout and also a complimentary guest welcome pack on arrival with the essentials that you need to get you started so that you don't need to rush out to the shops the moment that you arrive.

3) On changeover days we adopt the standard arrival after 2pm and departure by 10am. However, if there is a problem then we will be flexible with arrival times and departure times wherever this is possible.

Only a reservation fee is requested upfront to secure the apartment booking for the period requested. The balancing payment is requested about 6-8 weeks before the holiday starts. We will endeavour to return monies if the holiday has to be cancelled for unforeseen circumstances.
