This lovely holiday villa makes a perfect family getaway, boasting a very harmonious blend of modernity while managing to keep all the charm and allure of the French Provençal style. The villa itself is ideally located in a private and secure gated residence with 3 tennis courts, nestled in a cosy countryside setting. The central location is the ultimate starting point for visiting the various tourist hot spots on the Cote d’Azur. There are several areas of the garden to soak up the sun and relax. Work on your tan while lounging in your pool or sip on a glass of wine while enjoying the nearby mountain views from a beautifully decorated Moroccan terrace with water fountain and outdoor BBQ. You may also play a game of petanque (French ball game) or just a simple game of ping pong. In total there are 5 bedrooms in the main house split on 2 levels, including one with its own entrance, bathroom/WC. The lower level has been entirely redone in 2015 and is now handicap friendly. The garden is about 2000 sq meters.
TV equipment: 60' (127 cm) TV with Sky Digital (Freeview), Canal Sat, Blue Ray player, Wii. Several secondaries TVs
3 AC units, enough to distribute the cold air in the entire house.
Fully equiped kitchen.
Nearly 50 subtle outdoor lights to continue enjoying the garden when dark.
Special requests: If you have any special requests prior to arrival, we would be very happy to try our best to fulfill them. We are very accommodating and want to ensure that you have the very best vacation staying at our villa.
Lastly, as we try to ensure a clean and allergy free environment for our guests, we kindly ask that you please respect our no smoking and no pets rule. Thank you.
Close to everything on the French Riviera: Italy in 1 hour, Monaco in 45 minutes, Nice, its Airport and Cannes within 30 minutes, the beaches at 15 minutes. Yet in a very quiet, green, and secluded area, in a private domain with tennis courts.
Easy handicap access, very quiet, nice views to the sea and mountains from some rooms.
We were an extended family of 7 adults and 2 children and the villa met our needs perfectly. It was spacious, modern and well maintained and the kitchen in particular was very well equipped. The children also made really good use of the free wifi!
This was the first time we have done this kind of holiday, and we would certainly do it again. Everything went smoothly from initial discussions with the owner to booking and then throughout our stay. We only had one issue during our stay which was caused by very windy weather blowing leaves and dust into the swimming pool which clogged up the filters. We texted the owner about the problem and the pool attendant came the following morning to sort it out which we were very happy with.
I would recommend this villa to friends/family as it really is a lovely place (some of the photos on the website don't do it justice), good value for money and perfect for relaxing and having fun with the family. The gardens and Moroccan terrace were beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside with a glass of wine in the evenings.
In terms of the layout of the villa, there is a large double bedroom upstairs and then a twin bedroom immediately off this one, and then a dressing area and bathroom. Downstairs there is another double/twin bedroom and a single one, and a bathroom in between these. There is also an annex which is attached to the main house which has a double bedroom downstairs and some limited space upstairs. The size of the villa was more than adequate for our party and combined with extensive gardens and outside areas, there was a real feeling of spaciousness. The villa is in a gated community and it felt safe and secure. There were other houses in the vicinity but the villa was not overlooked and felt private.
We hired a car and the location was great to access other places such as Antibes, Juan les Pins, Cannes, Nice and Monaco/Monte Carlo. The local village of Valbonne was small but very nice and worth a trip. You do need a car though unless you intend to stay at the villa all the time as there isn't much within easy walking distance. The Carrefour supermarket is just over a mile away and this was ideal for stocking up on shopping.
Overall, we were very impressed by the villa, the service provided by the owner Alain and thought the South Of France was a beautiful place to holiday in. We would highly recommend it - hence the 5 star review.
My husband and I stayed for 1 week with our 4 kids and my father and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to stay! A lovely, quiet neighborhood with the Carrefour (supermarket) only 5 minutes away by car, it was absolutely fantastic! Cannes is only a short drive (about 15 min) from the house for shopping or going to the beach.
The immaculate house accommodated our large family easily and my father enjoyed his privacy in the attached suite with loft and separate bathroom/toilet. Our two 15 year old boys each had their own room while our two daughters (12, 13) shared a room off the master suite. The kids loved the Wii and outdoor ping pong as much as the pool, while the adults enjoyed sharing bottles of gorgeous French wine by the pool. We also enjoyed having the tennis courts only a few minutes walk from the house. Tennis racquets and balls are provided by Alain (the owner). We had an issue with the Internet once (the entire area was out), which Alain quickly resolved. Alain is a very personable and friendly host and if we had any questions, he always had the answer. At the beginning of our stay, he provided us with copies of instructions on how to use the appliances as well as numerous travel brochures and information about the area.
We definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the Riviera as it is close enough for day trips to many amazing cities/towns. Our family spent one day visiting Monte Carlo (Monaco), and another in San Remo (Italy) as these places are all less than 1.5 hr drive in traffic. And, of course, we drove to Cannes and Nice for shopping (very close)! Most of the time we spent at the house chillin' by the pool because if you want to simply relax and enjoy being in France, this is the place to do it.
We have just returned from a super fortnight here. We found the house comfortable and well-equipped, set within fantastic garden grounds. The area is quiet and the house feels very private. There are 3 tennis courts a brief stroll away and we had no difficulty reserving courts. There is a good supermarket and a boulangerie just up the road -you could walk for your fresh bread each day as my friend did! The lovely town of Valbonne is nearby, and access to Nice, Grasse and numerous pretty villages was easy. We were 9 adults and there was enough space inside for us on the one wet morning we were obliged to take cover.Outside there is more room than you know what to do with - I almost wished we had small children with us! The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Like another reviewer I felt I could trust Alain, and he honoured all agreed matters. Searching for any criticism, I would only ask for a teapot, and perhaps extra pool towels -spare ones are useful especially if you have a number of people sunning themselves. Ah, the wonderful climate of the south of France. Wish I was there!
Want to feel welcome, play tennis, relax at the pool, enjoy a garden packed with atmosphere and a house equiped that thoroughly from the piano to the Wii? Then this is a perfect base from which the heart of the most exciting France can be explored. Nice, Cannes, Verdon mountains etc. the list of attractions reachable by car or bike are substantible. Thank you Alain and Candice for your exceptional hospitatity and kindness during our first stay - and for sure not the last one at 52 Rue Debussy. Your house is not only a rental house, it is a home. We can highly, and unreservedly recommend this house and it's owners.
We had a fantastic fortnight at Alains "castle"! We were 4 adults and 5 children and the place was perfect for us. A huge garden where the kids could play all day, including, ping pong table, petanque court and a lovely pool. And all this at a location that made us in the middle of everything.
If we went to the beach, to one of the small villages or to the mountains, it's all just a short trip away. The house is also very close neighbor to three tennis courts, so you could practice your tennis any time!
Alain was there to welcome us and he is a really nice guy that you can trust, and he was very helpful.
So, a beautiful house with a huge and fantastic garden and we can't wait to come back.

We had a lovely holiday staying in this excellent villa. The house is big and well air conditioned. We were 2 family's with 4 adults and 5 children and found there was plenty of room. The garden and pool were outstanding! From entering the property through the large electronic gates you're really taken aback by the property's setting. We all made great use of the well maintained pool and enjoyed lovely meals in the evening on the Moroccan terrace. For any tennis fans the courts were very close and easy to book using the key the owner supplies. There is also a good quality table tennis set in the garden which we all made great use of. We stayed in August 2013 and the weather was fantastic with blue skies everyday. The surrounding area is beautiful and although busy Cannes and Monaco are definitely worth a visit. The owner Alain was excellent and extremely helpful. The whole booking and payment process went very smoothly. Overall I would highly recommend this villa and felt it was great value for money.
The villa is situated within a safe, gated community and is within walking distance to many businesses such as a supermarket, pharmacy, boulangerie, doctor’s office, pizza restaurant, hair dresser and flower shop. The charming village of Valbonne is only a 5 minute ride away, where you can find many cafes, restaurants and lovely local shops. Friday mornings are especially pleasant in Valbonne since it is market day with local artisans selling a wide array of local souvenirs, French foods and gifts. The Provencal villages of Biot, Grasse, St. Paul de Vence and Gourdon are accessible by car within 10-35 minutes. Cannes, Nice and the beaches are also all within a 20-30 minute drive as well. Some other activities nearby include: Marineland Aquatic Park, AntibesLand Attraction Park, Picasso Museum, Golf Clubs, Juan Les Pins Beach. Lastly Monaco and the Italian border are not even an hour’s drive away…
