Apartment in Barcelona City - Just 15 Mins Walk Along A Beautiful Rambla To Beach

This spacious apartment has a shared children's pool and larger swimming pool that are surrounded by enclosed gardens. There is also a safe and secure children’s play area. The apartments stylish open living space has full length sliding soundproof doors that open onto a large balcony overlooking the Rambla. Relax in the comfort of the fully air-conditioned/heated apartment and enjoy the large flat screen TV/DVD/CD player. The modern kitchen includes Kitchen table and chairs, fridge/freezer glass ceramic hob, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, juicer, blender, toaster and dishwasher. A separate utility room houses a washing machine, clothes drying facility, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. Both bedrooms have ample wardrobe space, with the master bedroom being en-suite.

We are a family of 5 with 3 children aged 2,4 and 7 years old. We all look forward to our holiday's at the apartment. The kids especially love the swimming pool and of course the wonderful beach. My wife was born and lived in Barcelona most of her life. This really assisted us pick the location of the apartment.

The area of Poble Nou has been totally redeveloped over the last 10 years and is Barcelona most upcoming district. The Rambla we live on has retained all of its old character and architecture.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is located near all forms of the excellent public transport making it the ideal base to explore the City. Having a swimming pool and secure private Gardens at the Apartment is a real bonus. The tree lined Rambla filled full of local shops cafes restaurants leads directly to Barcelona's famous beach. The apartments are residential and late night noise is not tolerated making it a wonderful location to chill out.

A good safe area, close to the beach, the bus stops and restaurants. Contact person was more than helpful and friendly. I will be recommending the apartment to friends and family.

Great place

Five of us (all adults) stayed in the apartment for 3 nights. We had plenty of room to spread out. The two kids rooms were a bit small, but we were there for sight seeing; so it worked out perfectly for a short vacation. Everything was clean and worked well. Neighborhood is very nice and friendly. Felt very safe. Seemed like a social neighborhood. Nice walk to the beach. Several cute places to eat close by. Would stay here again if I'm in Barcelona. Communication and check-in/out was great - very easy to work with.

Fantastic Place to stay

Very nice location and the apartment was very comfortable. The pool was great for my kids and the location to the beach and the restaurants/bars was fantastic. I would highly recommend this apartment to experience Barcelona. Amazing city.

Perfect for first time trip to Barcelona

This apartment was exactly as described, with everything we needed for a relaxing family break. Communication with the owner, before travel and on the day of arrival (when there was a small mix up with the agent), was faultless with any potential causes of inconvenience resolved quickly. The apartment was clean and well maintained with everything we needed for our comfort. We had spent a week camping before reaching the city so it was great to find two good showers and ample fresh towels in the apartment! Our kids loved the small pool in the garden. The television did not have english language channels but this was not a problem for our family. Internet would have been useful but again, the lack of it did not detract from our experience. We found some restaurants in the neighbourhood with free wifi so made use of those spots for catching up with emails etc. The location was perfect for us as first time visitors to Barcelona. It is away from the busy tourist jammed areas of the city and has a much more 'real life' feel to it. However, getting to any of the tourist spots was very easy by bus and metro. We also found that many points of interest are within walking distance of the Poblenou district and visited Sagrada Familia and the Olympic village on foot. There are plenty of shopping options within a short walk too, with small supermarkets, corner shops and the large Glories shopping centre all very close by. The Agbar tower is just up the street and makes for a very handy landmark when exploring and getting to know the area initially. The beach is reached via the most pleasant route of all, straight down the rambla poblenou from the front door of the apartment. I would say it's only a 15 minute walk but we usually got distracted by the cafes, restaurants, ice cream parlours, small market stalls and street theatre so never managed to walk without stopping to gauge an accurate timing! Food in the local shops is very cheap and good quality. The apartment had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. There are so many options for eating out though too, it'd be hard to not find something to suit everyone. On the rambla poblenou alone there's Greek, Turkish, Indian, Japanese (delicious takeaway yakisoba), and umpteen places specialising in food from various parts of Spain (we tried the Galician restaurant and enjoyed it). We'd have no hesitation recommending this apartment. We hope to return.

Memorable Holiday in Barcelona

What a wonderful stay we had. The apartment, weather and food were perfect. We loved the balcony overlooking the main walk-through lined with a great variety of trees. The apartment was very well equipped, wanting for nothing. The children used the pool every day and the photo doesn't do it justice. We walked everywhere with an occasional trip on the metro. I've never walked so much. I certainly would advise walking to the beautiful beach and hiring a deck chair and umbrella - enjoy.

All I can say is....excellent!

Apartment had everything required for a great stay in a great city. Clean and well equipped. Slight noise from 'early to work' residents adjacent the only niggle but probably to be expected in a city environment. Rest of the time very relaxing and especially enjoyed people watching from the balcony.

Poblenou metro station 5-10 minute walk gives great access to the city centre. A 20 minute walk down the pedestrianized 'Ramblas' takes you to the excellent beach. Same 'Ramblas' has some good restaurants and cafes midway between apartment and beach.

David, the local contact, was very helpful and informative.

Great holiday

If you want a nice, clean, well equipped apartment away from the hustle and bustle of central Barcelona, walking distance to the beach, but with good transport connections in to the key sights, then consider this apartment. We loved the neighbourhood - more local than touristy. Our kids loved the complex pool and the 12 minute walk down the ramble to the beach. It was easy to book, fitted the description, and we were happy. Some might prefer to have the sights more immediately on their doorstep, but we liked being able to do our sightseeing during the day but then have somewhere quieter, and arguably more authentic, to retreat to. Highly recommended.
