Overview

Luberon House Rental Photos and Description

Spacious two bedroom house with garden in unspoilt hamlet...Tranquility....

The house features: On the 1st floor, an open-plan 60 m2 kitchen/ dining/living room with glass doors opening onto a 200m2 south-facing garden equipped with garden furniture and BBQ. Living space with a comfy sofa and chairs, HI-FI and CD player. FREE WIFI. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, oven, a four burner stove and a washing machine. There is plenty of china, pots and pans and cooking utensils of all sorts. The dining area has a big dining table and chairs. There is lots of light!

On the 2nd floor there are two spacious bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed.

The bathroom has a bathtub, shower and two sinks. There is a separate WC.

A nice mix of ancient stones and contemporary design...

About Les Redons: Well, here in the hamlet 'Les Redons' we are 35 year round residents. That number swells to a stunning (maybe) 50 in the summer time. It's one of the few truly un-spoilt places left in the Luberon. What attracted us to this place is that it seems a bit frozen in time as well as it's friendly feel and great neighbors... The houses are all very old and made of stone. The countryside surrounding the hamlet is stunning, with vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields and there are lots of small trails leading through the fields and up into the mountains behind. Perfect for walking and bike riding. We are located 2,5 km from a great village, Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, where you can spend days exploring the local history, discovering it's winding streets and admiring the great views... Less than a 10 min drive will take you to the famous villages Roussillon, Gordes, Bonnieux, Menerbes...

More about the area: Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt has a population of about 2500 and there you can find almost everything you need (including a tourist information). The pool in the village is very nicely kept and even in the middle of the summer there is hardly anyone there, especially in the morning.

The biggest town nearby is Apt, about 10 km from here. There is a fantastic market, one of the biggest, on Saturday mornings in Apt, where you can find everything: Fruit and veggies, olives and olive oil, cheese, wine, clothes, jewelry, plants, baskets... Well, everything!

And even more: The village and the surrounding area, rich in history, invite to unlimited discoveries. There are all kinds of cultural events and festivals during the high season, in Saint Saturnin and in the neighboring towns and villages. There are concerts of all sorts, for all tastes as well as theatre, art exhibitions and cinema... The theatre festival in Avignon is enormous and so is the piano festival in La Roque d'Antheron, the opera festivals in Orange and in Aix-en-Provence, all internationally acclaimed. Then there are the wine tours and the wine tasting.... but I'll stop now. If you need any further information, please don't hesitate contacting me!

Beautiful restored rural home near many villages

  • 4 of 5

We loved this house and its quiet location in an old hamlet. It is within 15 minutes of numerous villages and towns in all directions. The home is tastefully furnished, the kitchen is well equipped, and there is a large music library. A small garden is the perfect place for morning coffee and afternoon naps in the sun. The owners live nearby and were always available for questions and assistance.

Perfect place to spend a vacation at the Luberon

  • 5 of 5

Les Redons is a small village located near St. Saturnin-les-Apt north of the Luberon. It´s a good location to explore many of the nice villages close by (etc. Gordes, Goult, Bonnieux), to go for hikes in the Luberon or spend a day in Aix en Provence. Recommedations are the Colorado de Rustrel, the markets in Coustellet and Lourmarin, and the old town and castle of St. Saturnin-les-Apt. Or walk directly from the front door of the house to close by lavender fields and vineyards, there´s a well with refreshing drinking water (tastes better than anything you can buy) just around the corner. The Maison is a very indivdual decorated two floor house with a cosy sheltered garden. Everything you need is there (very nice kitchen, bathroom with window, all rooms with much light) the house was clean and well maintained, and in case you need any help the owners Patrik and Eva, who live right across the street, are very helpful and gentle hosts. And for those who are poor at speaking French it´s great that Eva speaks perfect English. We enjoyed our one week stay right from the start and can highly recommed this property.

Ruhe und Entspannung auf dem Land

  • 5 of 5

PERFECT HOLIDAY

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommended,

We were at the house in July and we had a great time. The house is located in a peaceful hamlet with friendly neighbours. You can even get water at the local spring, this water even tastes great.

The house is pretty large and very practical.

Everything what you could need is available. We cooked delicious meals and afterwards we used the dishwasher.

We mostly ate outside because of the good weather. The garden is big enough and we had enough privacy.

Every night again we slept really good.

Even WIFI was available, which is of course really useful to keep contact with children or family.

In the neighbourhood, there are plenty of activities, lots of places with culture and history, great food, beautiful nature, sun. You will find the most beautiful places in the Provence .

When you arrive at this house, you immediately feel welcome.

Eva and Patrick are great hosts and will do anything to make you feel welcome.

They are great, they are friendly and they are very interesting.

THANK YOU AGAIN EVA AND PATRICK!

We will definitely come back!

Optimaler Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung der Provence

  • 5 of 5

Part of the Luberon Parc Naturel, in the tranquil hamlet "Les Redons" (pop: 35) and 2,5 km east of the perched medieval village of St. Saturnin-lès-Apt, on the road to Gordes... Come and discover our comfortable house! The two bedroom house is a centuries old barn that has been tastefully restored using traditional materials with a contemporary touch. There is a vast living space and a 200m2 south-facing garden fenced in with stone walls. The hamlet is nestling in the midst of the vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields. It's a perfect place to wind down and take long walks... Less than a five minute drive away (or a nice walk or a bike ride!) you'll find the very beautiful and unspoilt village of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt (pop: about 2500) with it's shops, cafés, restaurants, pharmacy, 'La Poste' and bakeries. No need to go any further if you feel like staying put, everything is there. There is a Tuesday market in the village and plenty of festivities and fairs during the high season. Saint Saturnin boasts it's own public pool that is open during the school holidays in July and August.
