About L Powick

Hi - We are Richard and Lee Powick. We formed a landscape gardening company in Britain 33 years ago and have now left this in the capable hands of our son Adam and moved to live full time in France running our gite business. We also have a lovely daughter Kate and grand-daughter Eloise who live in Belguim.

Why L Powick chose Champagnac

We fell in love with this wonderful watermill and love the area because of its sunny climate, however, the countryside is still green. We enjoy the tranquility, but like the fact that we are not too far away from some lovely towns i.e. Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Angouleme and Cognac.

What makes this house unique

We are situated close to the historic town of Jonzac. An indoor lesiure complex (Les Antilles) and an Inland beach are among the many facilities it offers.

A gang of 11 family & friends took over Le Moulin for our friend's surprise special birthday for the best part of a week. We couldn't get over what an awesome place it was, with loads of room for us all, a fantastic pool area where we all just lazed and the kids splashed around for most of our stay. If we didn't eat out in the garden, we all sat around the huge table in the big well equipped kitchen. A games room, dining room and lounge all downstairs made for evenings keeping the kids entertained, young & old! Idyllic and peaceful place to relax and unwind in, with shops a short drive away, making it a great location.

And with Lee & Richard as great hosts, we couldn't have asked for more, thanks guys. We hope to come back again sometime, highly recommend.

Magical Moulin Etourneau

From the moment we arrived to the time we left everything was fabulous. The property easily accommodated our large party which was there for a family birthday celebration. All ages were able to enjoy the property and the facilities therein, from the heated pool, secluded garden, games room and three other large reception rooms we were able to all get together or disappear as we so wished. I would strongly recommend this property to anybody that wanted to get together in a large group. I also understand that there is a smaller 3 bedroom property at the same location which would allow smaller groups to experience the amazing time that we had.

Beautiful house, full of character plus it also has the welcoming feel of a family home! It was absolutely spotless and well maintained and the owners are wonderful! You have everything you need in the kitchen for large groups and the rooms are comfortable and the grounds beautiful. There was a cottage attached for smaller groups which we got to view on the last day, and I'd love to go back again one day to stay in there!! I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay with a large group !! Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable stay !!

We had a wonderful time is this lovely house. It was perfect for all of us and we loved everything about it.

The property was clean and well maintained and Lee and Richard did everything to make our stay special.
