Had a lovely stay, kitchen and bedrooms are amazing. Beautiful village, great pubs!
Wonderful house, wonderful hosts, wonderful North Yorkshire, within seconds we knew why we had returned to Morton House!
An unbelievable weekend, awesome place, thanks for the memories!
Home from home only better! Thank you for a relaxed weekend, we'll come for a week next time
Situated in the beautiful village of Masham, which has excellent general amenities and a very welcoming tourist information shop. Tennis courts available for the more enthusiastic, situated just next to a fabulous childrens play area. Personally, one of the fastest roundabouts I have ever been on, accompanied by a long slide, mini castle, swings etc.... wonderful!
Highlights of this visit include a visit to the National Railway Museum in York which is less than 30 minutes away, and has one of the worlds finest eateries... Betties!
When we arrived we were in the Stable's side of the accommodation and it was spotless and even boasted a full sky package which kept the men happy:)
The village itself had all the shops you need for your stay it also boasted two brewery's which are well worth a visit for though`s who like real ale.
Some fantastic pubs and restaurants out and about where you could eat.
We found the location ideal for what we wanted it was only 90min from Whitby and 45min from York.
We would definitely return and recommend this lovely cottage.
Morton house is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. It's also very well equipped (including bath toys and a rocking horse for the kids!), clean and comfortable. Masham is delightful; the perfect place for exploring N.Yorks, but also great for pootling around in, and going on walks from, if you don't want to get in the car. Lovely shops, cafes and pubs and even a playground. As I found, Morton house is also the perfect place in which to be ill; comfy beds and sofas, full sky package and walking distance to the doctor/chemist. Michelle was wonderfully welcoming and helpful and I would certainly recommend staying here.
