Our stay at Rome Holiday Lux was wonderful. The apartment was very clean, well stocked with towels and all the essentials necessary to make one comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows if you needed them. We had use of a computer and printer.
Exceptional feature was the owner had stocked the kitchen with coffee, juice, and other good things to eat.
I would highly recommend staying at this apartment to anyone who wants to visit Rome and stay close to the Vatican. We were within walking distance. Approximately 10 minute walk.
We really loved the place: great location in Rome, Assunta was a really good host, we had everything that we need! I definitely recommend!
It was a wonderful stay! Apartment is really big, so we had plenty of space with the family of four. The owner welcomed us with the tour of the apartment, answered our questions and even provided us with a lot of groceries like baked goods, cookies, pasta, tomato sauce, juices, yogurt, coffee, tea, and candies. We did not use the terrace much because of the heat.
Clean, roomy, convenient location, everything we needed. There is a crib at the apartment.
This was a wonderful way to end our European vacation. Assunta could not have been a more welcoming host. She met us at the apartment and not only gave us a tour of the apartment and recommendations for our stay, but presented us with a few groceries upon our arrival. We immediately felt at home! She even helped us find transportation to the airport upon our departure. The apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos. It has plenty of room and a terrace that is outstanding. If we ate at the apartment, we only ate out there! The location was perfect. We were a quick 8 minute walk to the Vatican museums and a half a block from the subway. It was so convenient to all of our plans. There is a grocery store around the corner and an outstanding pizza place at right next door to the apartment building. It was a great place to grab a quick bite to eat! I would definitely recommend this apartment and would happily stay there again!
The pictures do not do it justice. This apartment is perfect. We enjoyed our time here greatly. I found myself wishing that I had more time so that I could take a day to just sit on the glorious terrace. I was sad to leave Rome chiefly because I was sad to leave this apartment.
Two bedrooms: one with a king and a twin, and the other with a king. Both rooms were very large. Both rooms and the living room exit directly unto the terrace. The terrace is probably 15' deep by 30' wide and is wonderful for meals, morning coffee, or wine in the evening.
The kitchen is nice and has all the modern conveniences.
The back balcony is mostly for the laundry and the garbage cans, but you can see the Vatican museums from there and you can also see the sunrise.
Assunta was a very gracious hostess, meeting us at arrival and departure and giving me the feeling that she genuinely wanted us to feel comfortable in her place. We had no problems with anything during our time in Rome, but I felt that if we had any trouble, I could have called Assunta and she would have been glad to help. She offered to arrange for a driver to meet us at the airport, and it was SO nice to not have to worry about public transit or finding a cab.
I would advise anyone renting to be sure you're aware of the checkout time on your final day. Ours was clearly stated in advance in the contract, but i hadn't paid much attention, and it was a little earlier than a typical hotel checkout. That meant we had to do a little extra planning but it was okay.
Our family of five stayed for 3 nights in this lovely apartment, and could not have been happier! The location is perfect, literally steps away from the Metro. The building is lovely, with a secure entrance in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Our check-in was smooth, with Assunta meeting us at the Metro and bringing us up to the apartment (which was blissfully cool on a very hot day!) where she had waiting for us a generous and thoughtful array of drinks and breakfast items as the markets were closed on the day we arrived (Sunday).
The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well-equipped. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't there for us. The high-speed internet and printer was very useful when making our reservations for museums and when we needed a walking map to the best Gelato place ever! (Old Bridge Gelateria). We were able to walk or take the Metro anywhere we wanted to go, and were happy to return each night to our quiet apartment for a restful nights' sleep.
Assunta was warm and gracious, and so helpful with recommendations and with securing our airport transportation on the day we left to fly home. When we return to Rome, we would absolutely stay here again!
