About Robert Ormond
Bobby and Shirley Ormond arrived in France May 07 for the weekend. Purpose? To buy a property to renovate and live in France for 8 mths. We found La Bossiere that's it. From idea to reality was only 2 weeks we decided to regret doing it rather than living with the regret of not doing it, as in this life you only have one go. Arrived Aug 07 and started our 8 month adventure. Kids 6 and 11 went to local schools and we started work on the house, moved in Jan 08 with the main rooms complete. We had a wonderful experience and our time in France will remain as one of the best times of our lives.
Robert Ormond purchased this Farmhouse in 2007

Fabulous home from home for all the family! We loved it!
We have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks family holiday at this beautifully restored farmhouse. The house is spacious and comfortable, with every consideration given to making it an enjoyable stay for its guests. The location is rural and quiet but with the interesting little village of Vignac-la-tour just a mile away with its quirky church, delicious boulangerie, and fantastic Les Templairs restaurant (don’t be put off by outward appearance) as well as a bar and tabac round the corner.
We had two young children with us and the weather was hot so we made full use of the pool and barbecued on the gas barbecue most nights.
The location is ideal for exploring Brittany which we loved - especially Dinan, St Malo and Mont-St-Michel, as well as the uncrowded lesser known beaches just half an hour away. The house was a lovely retreat to come back to after sightseeing days.
The owner, Robert, couldn’t have been more helpful and sorted teething problems quickly and easily. The only issue which hardly seems worth mentioning was that a couple of the outdoor chairs were broken and a further one broke while we were there and some of the decking was fragile.
Otherwise everything was perfect and we look forward to returning one day 😊.
Fab property and location
Just had a fab week. Loved the property and the pool was a dream when the sun got too hot on the sun loungers. Robert was amazing and was helpful from start to end, with lots of help and advice. Property spacious and welcoming and was a pleasure to stay in. Kids also loved it and didn't want to go home
Thanks for your kinds words, we just try to make things as how we would like them to be.
All the best

This was our second holiday here as was the first time we had a wonderful time in the house. Bobby was brilliant at sorting things out. The Bretton people were wonderful, local beaches and places to visit excelled our first stay.
A very relaxing and homely house which our 3 teenage girls love.
Thanks for your kind words and hope to see u again and again

Wonderful house and great location to explore!
We wanted to explore Brittany with the kids and this was a great location to do so. The family settled in wonderfully and we stayed for two weeks going to the beach every other day.
The facilities were brill and the pool was a bonus when the kids had energy after the fun days out!
The owners were...are brill and helped sort the one wee issue we had very fast!
A delight highly recommend!
Thansk look forward to seeing you again

Lovely, relaxing stay in beautiful setting
We had a lovely time during our stay in this pretty farmhouse. The setting is very relaxing and we were able to completely unwind. Bobby and Shirley were most helpful during our stay and we really appreciated their efforts. Highly recommend!
Just happy you enjoyed your stay at La Bossiere
Thanks for a lovely week
We had a fantastic week in mid August. Although the weather wasn't great we still found lots to do in the area. The house was wonderful,it has a really cosy, homely feel and was so peaceful.Inside it was spotlessly clean and there was lots of room for the 5 of us It had everything you needed and the pool was a real hit with the kids even on the wet days!
Shirley and Bob were really friendly if I needed to contact them, and nothing was to much trouble. I would recommend this to everyone and would like to think at some point we would go back, because its in a great location.
St Briac, Dinard and St Jacut-de-la-Mar are the nearest coastal towns about 35 mins away and they are all very pretty and well worth exploring. The coast itself is truly fabulous. We haven’t explored it all but there are miles of beautiful sandy beaches in each direction, so you are sure to find one which is your favourite, and if you enjoy walking the coastal path is stunning. St cast the beaches are fantastic 7 in all to choose from and not crowded best by far. (28/05/15).
