We--four adults and two (three-year-old) children--had a great stay here over Spring Break 2018. The house was clean and comfortable and provided excellent views of the bay. Marci and Randy cooked us great breakfasts and dinners and Tulum and Akumal (great bakery in town) were easily accessible by car; they also cleaned the house daily. Kids had a wonderful time in the pool and splashing in the shallow waters of the bay.
Peace and Tranquility in Mexico
Our family celebrated my 60th Birthday in Mexico and this was the perfect place for it. Gene (owner) was attentive to every detail before our arrival, sending us driving directions from the airport and information on grocery stores and local eateries. The property caretakers (Marcie and Randy) were lovely and attentive to the daily maintenance without being intrusive. They went above and beyond when my grandson had the flu and even cooked us a lovely meal in a power outage! We enjoyed our long walks on the beach, often ending in Akumal for lunch and snorkeling. We were lucky enough to see the sea turtles! Looking forward to my 70th - with a return!
Value for money!
Casa Langan var the perfect location for our familygroup of 9 persons.
Better then the pictures!! Great location, but you do need a car. Right on the beach, steps away. Nice snorkeling, but for turtles you need to walk to Akumal bay. Very quiet, nice pool, fantastic staff with the most gorgeous boy in the world. Superb cleaning every day, very well equipped. Super wifi! No tv -and absolutely no need for it. Very safe and nice area, close to cenotes, Tulum and everything als. Would go back in a heartbeat!! Thanks to the Langans :)
Great Family Vacation House
Casa Langan was in a great location for our family vacation. We had seven adults and the house was plenty big. The house keeper, gardner and property manager were very helpful.
Great 2 weeks at Casa Langan
We rented this villa with our two very young kids and their grandparents. The house is at the end of a community south of akumal. There is a 24 hour security gate to get in. The beach is cleaned daily by 3 hardworking guys, removing seaweed and anything else that washes up. This villa was taken care of by a very nice couple that lived in the small casita on the road side of the house. The husband cleaned the patio and beach as well as the pool every morning, then they would both spend a few hours making the house spotless each day. There is another woman that speaks excellent english that makes sure you have everything you need, and can arrange taxis, and prepared dinners by the staff. Their cooking was excellent! the beach is great, but the coral starts when the water is knee high, so swimming is a bit challenging. Snorkelling off the beach was ok, but for the best go to the Yal Ku Lagoon closer to Akumal. Its a 30-40 minute walk to the town of akumal along the "beach" where there are a few restaurants and dive shops. During the day it is fine, but because there are rocky sections between the bay we didn't try walking to and frmo a restaurant at night. Cabs were really expensive for the 5 minute trip to Akumal ($15USD) but could have been negotiated I'm sure.
We made use of the owner's contact for van service to and from the airport, which was excellent, and highly recommended. Did I mention the staff will even wash, dry and fold your laundry when needed!the house is ~12 years old and shows its age in some ways, but not in a way that lessened our experience. Overall we would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you to the owners
