Our apartment is a great choice for families, couples or golfers as we are located in a very peaceful neighborhood near several prestigious golf courses including the Millennium golf course.

The emphasis is on light, space and quality both inside and out, with a wonderfully appointed veranda which overlooks the main feature – a private pool and recreation area and the sea.

Golfers can enjoy the nearby greens and clubhouse facilities, while partners and families can relax at the complex or explore Vilamoura, which is a 5 minute level walk from our home or the Marina at 10 minutes walk. The restaurants and designer shops around the marina invite you to browse and the beach offers safe bathing. Nightlife is nearby, including the Vilamoura casino, if you fancy a little adventure!

On our other side.: Adjacent on our other side, the sleepy town of Quarteira awaits you with its fabulous Promenade (a must during the late evening), Beaches, Live Outdoor Music Concerts, Restaurants, and shopping.

A lot of people that come to the Vilamoura area miss out on the wonderful experience of Quarteira. Its beaches are stunning and there are hidden little boutique shops in the interior streets.

The seaside restaurants and bars are all very quaint but the best food is hidden away in the small streets away from the beach.

The promenade with is picturesque palm trees and shops is a Mecca for entertainers especially at night when large crowds gather so see performers and to sip a cool drink at one of the many spots.

During peak season on weekend nights there are outdoor live music concerts and dancing and carrying-on at the far end of the promenade to all hours of the night.

Within the centre of Vilamoura there is a preserved Roman Site and Museum of Cerro da Vila providing an interesting glimpse into the past of this interesting area.

About Paul

My wife and I are Americans. Both borne in Europe came to the US as children. Over the decades that followed, we built a life here, we had a son and we wanted to make sure he knew where he came from. We returned to Portugal (my birth place) after 36 years of absence only to find it as lovely as ever. While vacationing in the Vilamoura area we decided to purchase a beach apartment to use while in Portugal. We love our place. My son calls it the yellow beach house. As Americans we are perhaps a bit spoiled so it follows that our place is decorated with the best furnishings we could find. Since PT is so far from NY we also have an amazing villa in Naples Florida just a short distance from the beach with huge double master suites and well. We like comfort. Cheers, Paul and Dagmar.

Why Paul chose Loule region

I wish we could visit more often but we have a lovely home in NY and another wonderful vacation home in Florida so we come back as often as we can but I wish it was more often. I miss the food. We wanted to have a place in the area but we really don’t very much like a lot of Vilamoura, too many tourist traps, and not very much like the real Portugal. In fact Vilamoura was built specifically for tourism by a Spanish consortium. On the other hand Quarteira (where we have family) was a bit too quaint and lacked the luxuries we are used to having. We finally found our place on a small beach area called Quinta Do Romao. It is on the the Vilamoura Marina Beach and sandwiched between Quarteira and Vilamoura. We are just a few feet from the beach, but we are private and away from the crowds.

What makes this apartment unique

From our lovely apartment we can walk to anything important in the area. The Vilamoura Marina beach is just a few feet away, markets, groceries, bars, etc across the street, golf just a minutes away. But we are set back from the beach just enough to miss all the noise and commotion at night. We have two lovely pools in the complex and we do most of our swimming there. What is different about our place is that it is not an empty rental apartment. It is our personal home away from home. Everything is perfect and first class and we offer it to our guests that way. To us, a holiday should be all about enjoyment. Maybe we are spoiled but many of the things we think are necessities seem to be considered luxuries in Portugal. Just bring yourself your appetite and your sense of adventure.

Apartment in the sun close to amenities.

Stayed in this apartment twice this year in July and September. As Paul the owner will tell you this is not just a holiday let it is a well furnished apartment close to shops, restaurants, and the Marina. Supermarkets within a few minutes walk as are a few local restaurants if you don't fancy a 15 minute walk to the Marina. As Paul will tell you they are cheaper and better in many cases. Quateria and Vilamoura beaches within a 10 minute walk. Fresh fish market and fruit and veg market minutes away for meals in the apartment and if you wish to use the barbecue on the balcony. Television with free movie channels any time you fancy a night in. A trip to the Marina brings you to many shops and a huge variety of restaurants, sports bars, and music bars.You also have Sarah who is local for any advice and will meet you at the apartment when you arrive. A great holiday, good value, and thoroughly recommended.

A GREAT VACATION SPOT

We stayed at this condo for 3 months over the winter months. Besides vacationing in the Algarve, it was our purpose to tour all of Portugal and focus on photograpy. This condo was our home base.

The condo was spacious and tastefully decorated with all the necessary appliances. Lots of movie channels and the wifi was excellent. The deck was roomy which made it easily to enjoy outdoor meals. Paul, the owner, has done an excellent job providing a wealth of accurate information pertaining to the area.

His local assistant, Sarah, was prompt in responses and helpful. The cleaning lady, who did a condo refresh on a monthly basis, did great work.

Some of our highlights of the area were: the promenade along the beach in Quarteira, with to die for sunsets and Marina beach (just on the other side of the Marina) which was our go to place for coffee in the mornings. This beach could rival those beaches on the western coast of Florida.

On a secondary note, we felt safe in this area and having a grocery store right across the street was very convenient.

From a touring perspective, our condo was perfectly located. There are a number of cities and towns along the Algave which were within easy reach and pleasing to the eye ie: Sagres, Monchique, Silves, Tavira ( my favourite ) and Carvoeiro. A little under a 3 hour bus ride will get you to Seville, Spain, the nicest city I have ever visited. Heading north, the IC1 was a handy and easy driving non toll highway.

It was our starting route to such destinations as Evora, Lisbon, Fatima and Porto. All beautiful places to visit. One gem of a spot, is just SE of Porto near Viseu. The hotel is called Povoa Dao. Located in a 14th century vineyard setting, this place was special. It's hard to find but they will send a rescue party to fetch you, if required.

Fantasic

Just returned from a fantastic break in Portugal. Everything was great.

It was so nice to have an apartment to return to after a day out.

The apartment was clean and of very good size.

The Kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need. Both bedrooms were big and with plenty of wardrobe space also coat hangers.

The owner gave me so much information prior to arriving in Portugal re: Apartment, Local Shops and Restaurants also about the area.

Sarah was very nice and helpful. She had such a lot of useful information on the apartment and area.

Everyone was very nice. Taxis were good.
