This light airy basement flat with its own private entrance boasts its own private courtyard to the rear with table and 4 chairs for alfresco dining. If you have never been to Broadstairs before, you have missed one of Kent's best kept secrets. Broadstairs boasts beautiful beaches and secluded bays, with its stunning promenade gardens overlooking thel traditional seaside coastline of Viking Bay. For something historical, visit Bleak House where Charles Dickens was inspired to write David Copperfield, or take a guided tour around Dickens' House. Each June, Broadstairs celebrates a week long festival dedicated to Charles Dickens, and in August, you can enjoy the ever popular Folk Week with its wide selection of live bands and entertainers. There are plenty of water sports to keep you active, or why not have a round or two of golf. For the shopaholics there are streets of unusual and individual shops to the Westwood Cross complex offering plenty of retail therapy to keep you happy.

Notes on accommodation: The property is heated by storage heaters. I also have extra electric radiators should the weather turn cold. This is strictly a non smoking flat and, sorry pets are not allowed. Outside: The private courtyard to the rear with table and 4 chairs for alfresco dining. Large parasol to shade you from the sun and deck chairs also provided. Utility Room: Buckets and spades, picnic basket, games, cricket bat and ball, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, mop and bucket. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and bath towels are included in the rental price. Please do not use the bath towels provided for beach use. The property is cleaned and linen changed on a weekly basis, a change of linen can be provided for those booking for more than one week. The property has no off street parking

Fantastic

The weather was OK most of the time so we go t to use the courtyard garden too.

The apartment is spotless bright and fully equipped.

The only criticism would be the entrance into the apartment is a little tricky, but saying that my wife had a knee operation the week before we came to it and still managed it !!

Lovely little flat in a great spot

We had a wonderful Easter stay here this year. Everything was as described, and the rooms were slightly bigger and lighter than I was expecting for a basement flat. Everything was in working order, pick up and drop off of keys was straightforward. The location was perfect, just back from the beach and main street, and Broadstairs was a quaint little town. We had a car, and finding on street parking was much as you'd expect, with about a 10 minute walk for a spot - but the street that the flat was on was relatively quiet and it was easy to pull up and load/unload as necessary. The stairs down to the flat are pretty steep and narrow, which meant we stored the pram/buggy in the car rather than carrying it up and down. All in all, with a family of 2 young kids, the set up suited us very well. Thanks for having us Romany! Katherine.

Close to the beach and very quiet

This is a lovely, comfortable apartment, very close to both the town and the beach and amazingly quiet.

The courtyard is lovely and would be great on a warm evening.

The only problem for us was the narrow steps leading down to the front door. They are difficult for small children and, while it is possible to get a buggy down, it is difficult to manoever a more substantial pushchair down.

Optimal für Strandbesuche und Spaziergänge

Souterrain, bei gutem Wetter sehr angenehm durch die Möglichkeit, den Innenhof zu nutzen.

Der Strand ist sehr nahe und die Innenstadt ist direkt vor der Tür, Supermärkte in direkter Nähe.

Großzügiges Wohnzimmer mit großem TV und DVDs, gut ausgestattete Küche.

Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Coast/Beach:

The apartment is a 2 minute walk to the lift that takes you down to Viking Bay, this is a very child friendly beach with its children's rides, Punch and Judy shows at certain times during the summer, donkey rides, life guards. There are also deckchairs and loungers to hire, and ice cream parlours, restaurants and bars close at hand. If you are looking for a quieter beach, then Louisa Bay is also on your door step, a lovely sandy beach with rock pools.

Travel:

Approx 75 miles from London, M2/ A299. Regular trains from St Pancras (High Speed) London Victoria to Broadstairs station. The apartment is then about 10 minute walk from the station.

Distances:

Nearest ferry port Ramsgate is 3 miles if you fancy a trip to France. Nearest railway station, 1 miles, nearest motorway junction, 8 miles.

Further Details:

Nearest supermarket/shop, 50m, nearest restaurants/bars, 30m, banks, butchers, greengrocers are all on your doorstep.

Booking Notes:
A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking, or the full rental amount should you book less than 6 week prior to arrival. A further £150 refundable deposit is required when you pay the balance, this needs to be payed on a separate cheque and will be returned once the property has been inspected for loss, damage or extra cleaning costs. A booking form will be sent to you detailing details of cancellation charges.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival times is 3pm and departure is 10am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Weekend breaks are available October to May minimum of 3 nights at £85.00 per night or 2 nights at £95.00 per night. Security Deposit of £150 per booking is required, this will be returned once property is checked and cleaned.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
