About Deborah & Richard Hubbard-Davies
We are a family of four, who moved to France in search of 'La vie plus belle'! We set up Le Verger providing the sort of holiday accommodation we always wished we could find (but never did!). Although not perfect (though we try) - we've tried to think of all the little details, hooks where you want them, benches where you can sit whilst the children play, nice hairdryers, a kitchen with all the stuff you'd have at home. Our two boys go to local French schools and our days are spent managing our estate. We also have two golden retrievers and a cat. There is plenty more info about us on our website.

Why Deborah & Richard Hubbard-Davies chose Eynesse
What is there not to like?! This is the wine capital of the world, with the Dordogne river a few hundred metres away and stunning scenery to match. We love the privacy and tranquility we can offer our guests- yet with all the convenience of local towns being nearby. The property is set in gorgeous well-fenced gardens, with a lovely private swimming pool (also fenced). and a new swim spa (think indoor heated pool with hot tub area!) We can offer complete privacy to our guests. We are on site, but completely unobtrusive. The ease of access from Bordeaux and Bergerac airports is particularly appealing. We have lots of photos/information about the property and local area on our website.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
Simply put, we offer high quality accommodation for the discerning traveller, but at reasonable prices. We are very convenient for all the attractions of Bordeaux, St Emilion, Bergerac and the Dordogne, but have plenty on site to keep everyone happy. Very popular with wedding guests at Chateau Soulac and Chateau Rigaud. We are also particularly popular with multi-generational groups - maybe you are planning a trip with parents, siblings and your/their children, too? Le Verger is perfect for this - plenty of space for the family to unite...with plenty of space to retain some precious me time. We set up Le Verger to offer the type of accommodation we searched for, yet never found. All those thoughtful little details - mirrors by sockets; hooks where you want them etc! For full details please see website or just yell with any questions.

had a lovely week, children were well equipped for, they couldn't get enough of the pool. The owners supplied food for us as we were arriving late and were very helpful. would recommend villa as in beautiful part of France.
Our Best Ever Holiday!
We had such a fabulous time here - amazing welcoming hosts and a beautiful house with all the amenities we could have wished for (even a spa!!).
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, even though we'd rather keep it a secret!
Really fantastic for family holidays. Lots for the kids to do, loads of space inside and out.
We will definitely be back. Fabulous house with spa (massive swimming spa and jacuzzi). There is loads of space inside to get large groups together and still to find a private spot if you want and acres of space outside. If you want a large group get together, family or friends, the house is perfect.
Best holiday ever!
We are seasoned travellers, so takes quite a lot to actually impress us, but have to say we all absolutely loved the villa. Where to start? We were 3 families with 7 children between us ranging from 3 months to 16. The children absolutely loved it (which made our holiday so much more relaxing) - I happily spent much of the week lounging on the terrace whilst the kids exhausted themselves. Whilst we had planned to do lots of days out, everyone just wanted to stay at the villa, which made life very easy and low cost!! The fact that we didn't have to pack all the usual stuff for the baby made such a difference, too (the place even had blackout blinds)! Oh, forgot to mention the spa. AMAZING. This has a jacuzzi plus a hydro spa - it's basically like an enormous hot tub/mini swimming pool with jets and it lights up! Best bit was the kids weren't allowed in, so was a real escape. The outdoor pool was definitely a hit with everyone. It was really important to us that it was fenced, or I'd have spent the whole holiday worrying about the little ones falling in. It's great, though, that you can see the pool from the terrace. The pool was heated which I loved (such a coward normally getting in)! So, to sum up, would we recommend it? Yes, wholeheartedly - we're already trying to sort out dates to go back.
Wonderful place to stay with lots of children!
We spent a wonderful holiday at Le Verger with 6 adults and 6 young children. The property has lots of space both inside and out, and there were lots of short day trips to do to keep adults and children happy. Most popular things: swimming pool (lovely and warm), spa, trampoline, walnut liquer, very thoughtful hosts, toys & very clean throughout. Thank you for a perfect place to go away with 3 families.
Many apologies Deborah and Richard - finally got round to doing a Review of Le Verger!! Had a late summer stay at Le Verger with our extended family, with grand parents, ourselves and siblings, and a mixture of babies, tots and toddlers - and all had a fantastic time. Le Verger is in a beautiful, private, spot surrounded by vineyards, next door to the local Chateau, with loads of space to roam about. The heated swimming pool was fabulous - we have stayed at a couple of places without this facility, at this time of year in France, and it can start getting a bit chilly in the pool - but not at Le Verger! The accommodation is very spacious, which allowed the grandparents to have a bedroom and lounge in a separate area so were able to have a break from the noisy kids if they needed to. Le Verger has loads to do to keep everyone happy - loads of kids toys, books, games inside, and outside; the pool, table tennis and a huge outside play area, with swings and climbing frame and trampoline - we became boules fanatics! There is a beautiful spa area with a normal jacuzzi and a massive spa which you can swim in - never seen one like it before. We didn't leave Le Verger too much during our stay, but we had a great trip out to a local wine Chateau, which Deborah puts us on to, which was excellent. The girls had a lady visit to do massages, and we had some meals with outside catering - all added up to a fabulous, relaxing holiday, in a really superb location. I can highly recommend a break there.
Near Chateau Rigaud (Mouliets et Villemartin) and Chateau Soulac (Juillac) for wedding guests.
