Property was very nice and spacious, nice welcome on our arrival
The outside seating area was very large with a lovely view but poorly equipped, there were only 3 chairs with the table outside even though the apartment could sleep 6 people at least so had to keep bringing chairs outside, only 2 sun beds that were old and a bit shabby. The top part of a BBQ was there so we could have used it but it was full of old ash and awkward to use. Really enjoyed the stay just shame that the outside was not as comfortable as it could have been.
Grat value familiare holiday
Great family holiday, plenty of space, We loved the area and the scenery. The village has everything you ne ed including a little Bakery. The home was comfortable and withing easy reach of the ferry and village center.
Market day is Great fun on Monday morning.
Como is worth a visit.
A gem of a location
We stayed here having booked three homes in total for a family birthday celebration last month. This home was perfect for our family of six. Spacious with a lovely lake view and private garden to relax in. The home is approximately 8 minutes walk down to the village and restaurants but 10 minutes back up the hill so not for the elderly or unfit! We definitely felt fitter after our stay here. The village is quaint, old and charming with friendly locals and a good selection of restaurants, bars and shops. I think Argegno was a favourite as it definitely had that locals feel and felt less touristy than places like Bellagio and Menaggio which were nice to visit but overrun by Americans and Brits. Argegno certainly had a more italian vibe to the place with the local weekly market and cyclists arriving of a weekend to enjoy a coffee in the piazza. A special thank you to Julie for making our stay so special. We will be back!
Lovely family break
Fantastic stay here at Caa Angela. A lovely family home located above Argegno. The home was spacious and comfortable for our family of six. With good wifi reception, a bathroom on each floor and private parking, the home proved to be excellent vallue for money. Argegno really is charming with nice restaurants and bars. bakery. fishmongers..wine bar, mini market and weekly market frequented by the local italian community which lent itself to offer an authentic italian atmosphere. We hired a car but mostly used the ferries and local taxi companies for transportation as the village was only a 10 minutes walk diown the hill and when feeling lazy to a cab up the hill to return to our home. Many an afternoon were spent relaxing in the garden and gazing at that view which we never tired of|! Will definitely return. Special thanks to Julie, our host, who made our trip extra special with her local knowledge and warm welcome on arrival.
Argegno...a hidden gem!
Just returned from a wonderful time here in Argegno. We are so glad we chose this home and village recommended to us. The property was just as photogaphed and very spacious for our large family and we never tired of that view and spent many a balmy evening in our garden gazing at the changing light over the lake. Argegno was definitely our favourite village we spent time in as less touristy with a much more italian feel to the place than Bellagio and Menaggio which were over run with Brits and American tourists. Highlights included Luisas bakery in the village, Andrea at Cafe Colombo and Marios fruit and veg store. By the end of the week we felt we knew everyone in person and were accepted into our new friendly new italian family. Which we will miss! Special thanks to Julie who greeted us with such a warm welcome and was a real help to us when our luggage was delayed at the airport.
Stunning view terrace apartment
The apartment is on a quiet street, above the town, so we wouldn't recommend to be there without a car. Usage of a car is sometimes stressful as the streets are narrow and the parkings are very limited. Its possible to walk down to the town, but it takes good 15 minutes and its very-very steep, difficult even to go down! The town Argegno is very small but lovely and well connected by boat service to the pearls of lake area - Bellagio, Varenna, Lenno. You don't need to go to a restaurant for a dinner - the view from the terrace is breathtaking and it's very relaxing to watch the day ending and the night starting while having a slow dinner with italian wine. There is a small grocery store and a bakery in the town, big choice of fruit and vegetables on the market on Monday. Supermarket is quite far, on the way to Lenno. Be careful as all shops are closed for lunch till 3 or 4pm. Especially we would like to thank our hosts - Julia and Barry, they welcomed us very warmly, made our arrival very smooth despite the busy schedule and provided an excellent choice basket with some food essentials - bread, tomatoes, mozzarella, italian wine, etc. I would definitely recommend this place!

Distances: 20 minutes drive to the city of Como. Al fresco dining and shopping for silk, leather and designer clothing. 20 minutes to the Swiss border for designer outlets in Fox town. 50 minutes to Milan with easy parking-ask for details, football, opera, shops. 25 minutes to the lakeside town of Menaggio from where you can take a ferry to Bellagio. Further Details: Visit Villa Carlotta and see it's beautiful gardens in many styles with lake views to die for! Villa Serbollini in Bellagio with unrivalled panoramic views is a fantastic day out. Bellagio itself is a perennial favourite for holiday makers with it's cobbled streets and unbeatable views. Do not miss Villa Balbianello in Lenno as featured in the 007 James Bond Casino Royale movie. Walk to the villa or take the private boat (5 euros) from Lenno lido (15 minutes by car from the apartment) with golden sandy man made beach. The villa and it's majestic gardens overlook the rich blue waters of the lake. Drive down to Cernobbio (15 minutes south of the apartment) for an idyllic lakeside walk, a favourite for a Sunday stroll. Menaggio, with it's palm lined walkways is another pretty lake village worth exploring. Many boat activities from windsurfing to sailing are available on the lake as well as other water sports. Mountain bikes are also available for hire if you wish to venture into the vast mountains that surround the lake. San Anna and La Griglia near by serve superb seasonal and regional cuisine with excellent wine lists and are just 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Argegno village is full of excellent restuarants from fresh lake fish (Emilio's), pizza (La Corte), Barchetta-typical local cuisine and upmarket dining at La Piazetta.
