About Carl Fair

October ride on our famous 'Flume Trail' on the east shore above Lake Tahoe. I moved to Tahoe in 1973 to ski after graduating from Oklahoma State University and I stayed! Harrah's recruited from our campus which caused a migration out West. Golfing at Edgewood, skiing at Kirkwood and Heavenly, boating after work, mountain biking, and riding the mountain passes on our Harley is our lifestyle. We own and operate Buckingham Vacation Properties and Century 21 At Tahoe Paradise.

Carl Fair purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Carl Fair chose South Lake Tahoe

We invested in this cabin because of its location on the sailing lagoon, walking distance to the marina and the Fresh Ketch restaurant, and amenities such as the tennis courts, swimming pools and proximity to Lake Tahoe. It is just a short bike ride from our cabin to Camp Richardson where there is another marina, a fun restaurant with rum runners on the deck and a great beach with swimming area. The South Lake Tahoe Steat Profile center and historic buildings compliment this exciting resort.

What makes this cabin unique

Relax in our hot tub sipping on lemonade, while enjoying the views of Mt.Tallac and the sailing lagoon with ducks and geese playing in the water just off the back deck. This charming cozy cabin loves family gatherings around the fireplace in winter and has a backyard BBQ to enjoy in summer. You can bike to the nearby beaches, pools, marina, gym and tennis courts. We are in the hospitality business so we can answer all your questions regarding activities here at Lake Tahoe.

The Tahoe Keys Marina is a short walk from the cabin. The Fresh Ketch has food and beverage, in the event you are over served it's a short walk home. Camp Richardson and the beaches is a close bike ride, so bring your bikes.

Beautiful Vacation Home w/ Everything You Need! Great Location & Views!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this lovely vacation home for our Honeymoon in July 2015. We were pleasantly surprised to see how updated everything was and that there were plenty of towels, blankets, pillows and even coffee. Nice kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms-- everything looked newly remodeled and all the appliances you would need. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck that has an amazing view of the lake. There is a nice BBQ grill that we utilized while having dinner and cocktails at the patio table. Everything is close by...Shopping, Grocery Stores, Casinos, the Marina. We really LOVED how the owner allowed us to bring our beloved dog, Maddie. Maddie enjoyed watching the ducks (not chasing them:) and other wildlife. She really loved the walks in the very peaceful neighborhood and small doggy park across the street. It's such a beautiful home in a really cute neighborhood. We will definitely be coming back for our anniversary... Maybe we'll bring the kids next time :) We LOVED it!!!

Great location and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 stayed here for 6 nights and enjoyed the serenity of the location and view of the water each morning. This house is close to everything you need (groceries, restaurants, hiking trails, bike trails, beaches, etc.) but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. We used the kitchen for making most of our meals and the dining table for eating and card playing. We even used the gas fireplace when we lost power due to lightning knocking it out for most of South Lake Tahoe. Carl was very responsive and provided many recommendations. My 3 daughters enjoyed the sleeping accommodations and hot tub. My husband loved the grill.

Excellent Location, Beautiful House

  • 5 of 5

We rented this great place to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. We had 6 total people staying in the house and we had plenty of room. The house is in excellent condition and feels so cozy. The owner does a good job stocking the house with extra bedding, bath towels, and beach towels.

We watched the sunset from the back deck over the water almost every night and made really good use of the kitchen and the outdoor grill. It's a very peaceful house and in a great location should want to venture out for a little more noise. It's located near great beaches, Camp Richardson, and my new favorite bar- Steamers.

I think the back deck is the best part of the house. Hot Tub, water view, BBQ, and plenty of chairs. What else do you need? I highly recommend.

A cozy but spacious waterfront cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for 5 days at this cabin. It is very well appointed, and had plenty of room for our famil of 4 plus our kids friends (total of 6). The living room area is very cozy and overlooks the keys lagoon (although it was frozen over when we were there). The kitchen was well appointed and stocked. It was very easy to get to and not far away from the "Y". About 10 minutes to Stateline. All in All we would highly recommend this vacation home. We may well be looking to rent it again during the summer.

Christmas at Tahoe Keys

  • 5 of 5

First time at this perfect two story home in Tahoe Keys. December 23-27, 2012. There were six of us and all of us have rented Tahoe cabins many times over the years. After the first day everyone agreed it was the best place any of us have rented before. For sure.

Sorry to say, but a lot of the Tahoe rentals are really outdated. This home had everything new. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen & the kitchen was stocked with everything....cookware, dishes, platters...we cooked a lot and found nothing we needed. Comfy leather sofas in the great room, HD flat screen TV's, fireplace, huge bedrooms.

The location is beautiful. Big back yard that connects directly to the lagoon which was frozen over when we were there. Like a winter wonderland :)

Umm, hope the owner likes the igloo we built in the back of the property haha!!

We all agreed we want to see it in the summer so we'll be back. I think some of our group are going back this winter.....

Just what we hoped for!

  • 5 of 5

Three generations of our family were lucky enough to enjoy a month long stay at this lovely home. The main floor living area and bedroom made it easy for the oldest and youngest amoung us and the deck right off the back of the house extended the size of the compact house. We found the home to be clean, nicely furnished, centrally located for easy access to local attractions/activities and peaceful. The neighborhood is a quiet one - perfect for safe bike riding and walks. The view at the back of the house is amazing, providing a wonderful backdrop for morning coffee and other outdoor time. We had our canoe with us and could easily push off from shore for fishing in the lagoon. If you have stayed in the Keys before, you know that many homes have pretty severe sun exposure, making it impossible to keep the shades open in the afternoon or enjoy the deck @ certain times of the day. At this house, we were delighted to find this was not the case. There are pine trees surrounding it and the house is placed such that the sun compliments the outdoors - not overpowers it. We were also glad to find such a nice place that was pet friendly for our furry family member. The homeowner made a personal visit to welcome us and to be sure that we had everything needed. He stayed in touch re. the maintanance of the hot tub and was quick to respond to questions & inquiries all along the way. Overall, a great experience. We feel very fortunate to have found this lovely oasis.
