Chalet Seeblick is a fully contained detached house, ideally located on a quiet sunny slope above the lively village of Zell Am See. From the property there are beautiful views across the lake and pistes of the Schmittenhoe. Done out to a high specification. Zell Am See is a typical historical Alpine Austrian village. It has many shops, bars, restaurants and all the modern day amenities and requirements.
The chalet is located in one of Europe's largest and most varied ski areas. The house is in the Zell Am See ski resort, with its ski lifts leaving directly from out of the town. The distance from the chalet to the ski-lifts is approx 500m. Other ski resorts in the immediate vicinity include Kaprun which is an approx 15 minute drive away (dedicated buses and cabs offering a fast and reliable service) with its Kitzsteinhorn glacier and all year round skiing. Saalbach/Hinterglem ski circus zone is approx 15 minutes away as well. This offers a very large ski area and a lively village. The Austrian villages are renowned for their après ski and the town of Zell Am See is no exception. The chalet provides easy access for both ski slopes in the winter and the summer mountain pursuits typical of the alps. The lake is major draw card in the summer months.
The chalet is owned by three South African and UK families that wanted a large property from which to enjoy the winter and summer sports the area is renown for. We all actively use the house during the year and this makes sure we keep it in tip top condition for our guests. The house is managed by Alpen Apartments who are onsite in Zell Am See.

Great location in serene neighborhood and still walkable to restaurants in town and the nearest ski lift. We also appreciated being able to take a short drive/bus to explore the Kaprun and Saalbach resorts giving a huge variety of ski terrain. Flexible accommodation served 10 adults (plus kids) well for a weeks ski holiday.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to skiing seeing you have Zell, Kaprun and Saalbach all within 25 minutes drive. Lots of options to getting to Zell also as you can fly in Salzburg (1 hour) or Munich (2.5 hours drive), The chalet is well kitted out and walking distance from the centre which is lively and has so a good selection of restaurants and drinking spots. You need not look any further !!
We really enjoyed our stay in the chalet. The views from the lounge and dining room are amazing. We enjoyed being high up and in such a quiet location. The Walker family will certainly visit again
Zell Am See is ideally suited for outdoor enthusiasts. The winter sports and in particular skiing are world renown. The ski area of Zell am See is literally on the door step and as part of the same ski area, guests have access to the Kaprun ski area with year round skiing on the glacier. The large Ski Circus area (including Saalbach) is also close by.
The lake is a haven for water sport enthusiasts during the summer. Activities such as sailing, skiing, windsurfing and boating are all easily accessible. The local mountains provide many other outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, white water rafting etc.
Zell Am See is approx 1 Hr drive away from Salzburg and its international airport. Cabs cost approx 100 euros for the trip. There is also a shuttle bus and train service that can be used. Within two to three hour travel time are Munich, Innsbruck and Vienna. The chalet is 500m walk to the town centre and ski lifts. Cabs from the town centre to the village cost approx 6 euros and this is the easiest form of transport. There is dedicated parking at the chalet for those who prefer to drive.
The chalet is in the town of Zell Am See. It is located on a slope above the town and therefore affords excellent views across the lake and surrounding mountain areas. It is approx 500metres to the town centre. Salzburg with its history and opera is accessible by train or is approx 45 minutes away by cab or car.

|Stay tax||€1 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the manager upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 15 years.|
Very important! On arrival, bring your credit card to check-in so that we may authorise the refundable security deposit for the property that you booked.
If a booking is cancelled or modified up to 90 days before arrival, they deposit may be forfeited if the property cannot be relet.
If a booking is cancelled or modified up to 30 days before arrival, 60% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
If a booking is cancelled or modified up to 7 days before arrival, 80% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
If a booking is cancelled or modified under 7 days before arrival, or in case of no-show, 100% of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
This is typically Saturday but can be flexible at a surcharge.
A deposit of 40% is to be paid within 3 days of booking.
The remaining payment is due 8 weeks before arrival and will be automatically charged to your credit card if your credit card details are available.
