We stayed in the Bella Vista for 2 weeks, and everything was absolutely perfect! Tom is a superb host! The view from the terrace is stunning; we spent quite a bit of time there! It's a nice little stroll into Barga, which is a delightful old town! We purchased meat, cheese and wine several times and took back to Bella Vista to eat on the terrace. You can catch the bus in town to the train station, and go anywhere from there. The entire visit was so incredible that we are already making plans to return!
We had a brilliant week staying in the Bella Vista apartment. The views of the countryside are beautiful and the huge terrace is perfect for making the most of the sun. The apartment is great and has everything you'd need. Barga is lovely, lots of delicious restaurants and we were lucky to coincide with the end of the Jazz Festival. Tom was an excellent host, and the villa is in a great location for exploring Tuscany.
Villa Sofia is located only an 8 minute walk from Barga Vecchia. It has stunning views of the country side and mountains from three sides of the property. It is very peaceful and relaxing.
Bella Vista was very clean and well maintained. All the facilities worked well and the bed was excellent. The terrace was huge and even though it was August there was a nice breeze in the afternoon and the nights were comfortably cool for sleeping.
There are three rentals on the property but each has privacy or you can mingle with other quests if you choose.
Tom and Julia are very accomodating and generously offer their help. I highly recommend this property. Plus the WiFi was excellent.
