Villa in Chlorakas, Paphos, Cyprus - Peaceful Location, 100m from Beach, Spectacular Sunset Views
Hi there! We live in Scotland near Loch Lomond. My family and I spend all our holiday time in Cyprus as we enjoy the contrast between the two locations.
Owner purchased this Villa in 2008
Why Owner chose Chloraka
We bought the villa due to its brilliant, peaceful and quiet location. It is in a very relaxing position but is also close to Paphos and Coral Bay if you need a bit of night life. The best of both worlds! Above all we bought the villa due to its wonderful sea views. It is just wonderful to relax by the pool, enjoy a beer or two, and totally chill out!
What makes this Villa unique
We love the seaside promenade walks at the Villa and with a west facing garden the absolutely stunning sunsets. A gin and tonic in the garden watching the sunset is a real treat and very special! We love to dine and barbecue outdoors in the garden. Such a contrast from Scotland! After every trip to the Villa, we always return to the UK completely chilled out!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa and just want to thank the owner, Pat, for allowing us to use it, during our stay in Chlorakas. The gardens are lovely and the swimming pool was a godsend, in the Cypriot heat! Like a lot of Paphos, in recent times, there is building work going on in the area, but it didn't hinder our stay there at all. Car hire isn't essential as bus route 615, is only a 5 minute walk away and has a frequent service to Coral Bay and Paphos Harbour, which have many restaurants and bars. The only downside, as usual, was coming home! We hope everyone else enjoys their stay as much as we did.

Good holiday home
Spacious house with all appliances to make the holiday easy. Really enjoyed the pool and used the barbecue lots when dining outside. The houses in front which seem to have been built recently interfere with the view of the sunset. Location is great with shops and supermarkets minutes away. Building work nearby creates s lot of dust but this seems to be happening all over the island at the moment. One suggestion is to provide pool towels but provision of washing powder, dishwasher powder and kitchen condiments was appreciated. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Lovely villa and what we expected.
Our stay was really lovely and the villa is very spacious and nicely presented. We loved eating out under the gazebo in the evenings and the beds are comfortable and clean. Small criticisms are that the sun lounger is still ripped, as per an earlier review and the pool was not perfectly clean on our arrival. Because of building work adjacent opposite, it is not a completely quiet spot during the day and a fine layer of dust is constantly needing to be cleaned. However, this did not really bother us that much. The gas bottle ran out on the BBQ but was replaced quite quickly by the management company. We also found the shower trap was clogged with hair on arrival which ought to have been cleaned. There is a lack of sufficient cutlery and the kitchen knives could have been better. A tile on the front porch step has come loose and needs to be refixed. Overall we thought it a great property but could do with a little attention to the details. Don't get us wrong, we really enjoyed our stay!
The village of Chlorakas is a short walk up the hill and where there are one or two lovely local restaurants. A hire car was really useful but you could easily survive without one as the bus service is regular.
There is a lovely sea view from the balcony to the left hand side but the view opposite is now blocked by the new buildings. The whole area is under extensive development and therefore a number of large construction vehicles pass the villa throughout the day from time to time from early on in the morning starting at 7 am. However, that noise is somewhat muffled when the windows are closed. The air conditioning worked well in October, when we had it on.
Thanks Grant for a very comprehensive and helpful review. I am really pleased you had such a good time at the villa and enjoyed the lovely sea views.
Thanks for highlighting the little things we need to address. These will all be put right before the next season. In addition the development work you mentioned is now in its final stages so should be completed soon.
Hope to see you back in Cyprus at some point. All the best Pat
Excellent villa close to beaches in Cyprus
We had a great week at this villa. It's a luxurious place to stay and very well equipped with good air con and a lovely pool. The excellent beaches at Coral Bay are only 15 minutes away on a good bus service and it's about the same distance into central Paphos for restaurants. It's a bit of a stretch to say that there are sunset views as there are new houses now built between the villa and the sea, and there is still a lot of building going on nearby so we were frequently woken by the noise of construction work in the morning. But we got used to that and enjoyed our week tremendously.
Thanks for the review Simon and I am really pleased you had such a great time at the villa. October is a fantastic time of the year to visit. I am glad the building work in the area did not bother you too much and the good news is that the work is scheduled to be completed shortly. I take your point regarding the sea views and these are certainly not the 180 degree views we initially enjoyed but thankfully we still have some great sea views from the villa. Thanks again for the review and hope to see you returning soon. Regards Pat
Beautiful peaceful villa
The villa offered everything you need for a comfortable stay and to a good standard. Everything you need in the kitchen and outside facilities for the pool. As mentioned in previous reviews it would have been nice to have more sunbeds but this wasn't a major problem as we used the chairs.
The taxi driver did have a problem finding the villa when we arrived as did a local food delivery driver so a suggestion would be to have maybe '5 Sunset Villas' outside and then it's easier to spot late at night.
I cannot speak highly enough of the luxury villa and peaceful village, we didn't want to leave and will definitely consider a return visit. Thanks for allowing us to share your holiday home.

A great villa in an excellent location.
A small shop, restaurant and sports bar all within a short walk. Lidl supermarket only a 5 minute drive away. The Villa is well stocked with all of the essentials. All of the rooms are a good size and are air conditioned.
Many thanks to Pat for the use of this wonderful villa.
Villa is 100m from the beach. From the villa it is a 10 mins drive to the fabulous white sandy beaches of Coral Bay.
Villa is 20 mins drive from Paphos International airport. Car hire is not essential as a local bus service, to Paphos and Coral Bay, operates from near the villa.
The property is ideally located being half way between the popular Paphos town, with its restaurants, bars and Coral Bay. As such it is a pleasant 5-10 min drive to each location.
Local shops, bars and restaurants are located within walking distance in Chlorakas village. Please note that the Villa has benefited from further significant improvements during the Spring of 2013 including: repainted throughout; new pool lining; and a brand new gazebo to enjoy the stunning views of the Med with night lights to experience dining under the stars.
