Holiday Villa in Cala'n Porter, Menorca, Balearic Islands - Central Location, yet Beautiful and Peaceful

The villa is located within a 5 minute walk of the resort centre, where there are numerous bars and restaurants. It has a large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a further 2 bedrooms, which share a bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen including a washing machine. Open plan lounge/diner, WiFi, digital TV, video, DVD player and a pine dining table and chairs. Outside, the villa has a covered terraced area and the remainder laid to lawn making an ideal children's play area or simply an area for adults to relax. There is a table and chairs on the terrace and a seperate garden table close to the barbecue area. Six sunbeds for relaxing. The property has off-road parking and is fully enclosed making it ideal for families with children. The beautiful secluded beach is about 5 minutes away and can be accessed by steps, or by road. There is also a road train to the beach from the resort centre.

About Sheila Cox

British owners, my husband and I first came to the island in 1999, the people are so friendly and the beach in Cala en Porter is wonderful for familes of all ages.

We have had the villa since it was newly built in 2001/2 and like to keep in updated, but still in the traditional style of the Menorcan villa's, with the high wood beamed ceilings.

We have been living in Menorca since 2006. I am very involved with the local community and my husband works full time but we both look after the needs of our guests that stay in the villa as we only live just a couple of minutes away.

Sheila Cox purchased this villa in 2001

Central location only 5 minutes from the village centre, shops, restaurants, and the beautiful beach. Yet in a very nice peaceful area.

The outside area is laid to lawn with two seperate eating places, BBQ and a private pool in a south facing garden.

Notes on accommodation: Clean spacious traditional Menorcan villa with private pool, two lawn area's, sheltered patio with two eating area's and BBQ. Six Sunbeds provided. Outside: The pool is of free-form shape approx 8 x 4 metres. The garden has 2 eating areas and a built-in barbeque, totally enclosed and very suitable for families with children. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedding, bath and hand towels are supplied and are changed weekly. For 2 or more weeks bookings mid-stay cleaning can be arranged.

Great Family Property

We have fond memories of Villa Shilo. We have spent the last few summers there as a family, it has been home from home in the sun. The kids had a fabulous time learning to swim in the pool and playing on the grass which is an added bonus. Cala en Porter is also a great small town with some lovely restaurants – a great location for a family. In fact we love it so much we are back again this year, just at a slightly larger villa as we have increased in numbers.

Steve and Sheila are great hosts, never under your feet – but around if you need them.

Ultimate relaxation

We have been back to Villa Shilo sometimes twice a year for the last seven years. When we arrive we feel as if we have come home! The villa is well equipped so that you have the choice of eating in if you want and it is always spotlessly clean (thanks to Sheila) when we arrive. The garden is spacious and the pool always lovely and clean( thanks to Steve).Ideally placed for the village and the beach. The owners are close at hand and will always help out with any information or assistance. Ideal for a family or smaller party. We hope that we will be returning to Villa Shilo for many years to come.

You can secure your 2015 holiday with just £100 deposit followed by 50% before 31/1/2015 and the final payment 8 weeks before arrival.

Changeover Day:
Bookings are Friday to Friday. Apart from October until April.
