Fabulous house in a beautiful location.
This was our second visit to this beautiful house & we will definitely be returning. There is everything you need here for a perfect holiday.
The weather has been gorgeous during our stay and we made full use of the heated swimming pool & in the evening having a barbecue in the lovely gardens ( very relaxing) for the not so warm days/evenings there was the hot tub which was just what we needed after visiting the local markets & the medieval town of Domfront where there are abundant places to eat or just have coffee and watch the world go by. Dawne & Bob who own the farm house are very helpful and have a wealth of knowledge about the local area & beyond. You certainly don't feel that you are intruding on them and they certainly didn't with us. (Very helpful if you have an issue) they are very happy to chat & tell you the local places to eat & visit. If you are after the perfect location with a beautiful home to stay that has something for everyone you won't do better than here. Before I go I will mention the games room where my father and my partner had pool matches every day! (Kept them quiet)
Fantastically charming, hidden gem.
Stunning property with a fantastic garden. The house and facilities are superbly clean. The games room is the best we have encountered so much so that the television was never needed. Perfectly peaceful break, except for the happy sounds of my children having a great holiday. Dawne and Bob have thought of everything needed to make your stay an enchanting experience and they are super helpful with information of places to eat and visit.
We chose this house as it looked so lovely on the pictures and on arrival it did not disappoint. We were met by Dawn the owner who could not be more helpful. The property is large, very traditional and very well equipped. The lounge is large but cosy with a wood burner and comfortable leather settees. The kitchen was well equipped and the adjoining dinning area ideal for the six of us. The bedrooms are roomy and warm. Useful en-suite with the double and well equipped family shower room. Outside there is a lovely garden with a BBQ area. The hot tub and games room were a hit with the youngsters. There is also a pool but we did not use this due to the time of year. The house is a 5 min drive from Domfront which is lovely with a castle and quaint streets which are great for a wander. The nearest bakery is also here. All in all we would thoroughly recommend this pretty gite.
Fantastic Find For All
This is a beautiful house and home, with amazing facilities for all age groups. The hot tub was an added bonus for us to relax in after the days activities. This house offers something for everyone, the pool was great for the children, the games room/bar was like having a night out and conveniently close at hand. It was comforting to have Dawne and Rob on hand to offer advice and help if needed. The whole experience here will make you want to come back for more...which we hope to do again. Many thanks to Dawne and Rob for sharing this wonderful house xx
This cottage is in an idyllic spot for lots of tourist attractions in Normandy/Brittany. All weather catered for with outdoor pool, indoor games room and hot tub. Dawne and Bob the owners were lovely, friendly and helpful people. The beds were lovely and comfortable and it is a great getaway place for all ages.
A truly relaxing break
Dawne and Bob have thought of every little touch to make this a home away from home. They are superb hosts, very welcoming but happy to leave you to potter around and certainly never intrude! The gardens, games room, pool and hot tub were all thoroughly put to good use and our boys (aged 7,8 and even the teenager!) said it was the best break they'd had for a while.
The location of the house is such that you are guaranteed some peace and quiet but have activity on the doorstep should you want to venture out (the local town of Domfront has some castle ruins and Flers is a larger town with restaurants and cafes, though to be fair we spent most of the time at the house enjoying the amenities and the beautiful weather, which speaks volumes)
All in all, can very much recommend.
