Fantastic villa, fabulous situation.
A beautiful villa, very clean, wonderful facilities, lots of space, large pool. Fantastically situated just a short walk downhill into a largish village with bakery, butchers, lots of restaurants etc. Plus Paradise beach just the other side of the village where you can snorkle. Loads to do nearby. Quiet in May which was wonderful. Would definitly return.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, much appreciated.
I’m pleased to hear your positive experience and to read your appreciation of the villa. I looking forward to welcoming you back should you return to Kefalonia.
Fantastic holiday villa
Great holiday in a fantastic villa, everything you need is here and in great condition! Our children said it was "dreamy"......private pool with music piped around patio! House is large enough for 2 families and you can spread out around its various rooms and garden areas. We thought the village was lovely and most tavernas and shops were still open even in October Half term. We will return for sure!
An ideal Villa in a wonderful location
At the end of some holidays you look forward to going home and your normal life, our time at Roz Villa was not one of those. We really did not want to leave as we had found the perfect holiday Villa. From the moment of our arrival to leaving we enjoyed the Villa’s space, quality and location together with the warm and friendly welcome. Asia Efimia really is a great base with its harbour and tavernas - the perfect opportunity to people watch. A car is essential to allow access to beaches, other parts of Keffalonia and during our visit any crowds had eased which made visits easy and relaxed on almost empty roads. Although providing everything we needed the Villa is connected to island life with good local walks and the clonking bells on sheep and goats providing a gentle reminded that the importance of local farming is not swamped by tourism.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it!) Owners Direct won't let me write the same epic review of this place that I wrote on Trip Advisor, so I will have to give the shortened version....
The villa - the photos don't do it justice, this place is stunning. When we first got there, it was late at night, and we just walked around saying wow to each other. It is so tastefully decorated and beautiful, but it also really feels like a home, which means you just settle in and feel like you live there! (This makes it even harder to leave)
The location - you are about ten minutes walk down the hill to Efimia, and 15 minutes back up. It's very doable, even for oldies (my parents, both in their 60's and struggling with their knees, cheerfully tottered down most nights, and as long as we took it slow and they were fortified by an ice cream and a cocktail beforehand, tottered back up again at the end of the night). To be honest, after you've eaten your own body weight in one of the restaurants, the walk back up the hill in the slightly cooler temperature is very nice
Things to do / places to see - you are about 15 minutes from Sami, which we didn't much like, we preferred the slower pace of Efimia. However, on the way to Sami is a lovely free beach, right next to a taverna, on the left of the road. We went several times, great for snorkelling, plenty of parking, and a cold beer when you want one. Also a grassy area if you prefer shade. We recommend you see Fiskardo, about 45 minutes away, it is incredibly beautiful, lots of little shops to wander in and out of. Keep going along the front to Elli's to eat, it is on its own little beach so you can dip your toes while you wait for your delicious food. Then when the heat gets to you, head to Emblisi beach, very close to Fiskardo. Incredible setting (I'm running out of adjectives...) with parking, and a charming little beach shack selling drinks and snacks. I was surprised and delighted to find I had a choice of gins, and I'm pretty sure the sense of extreme happiness I feel when remembering Emblisi is down to the liberally unmeasured g & ts! You will have to go to Trip Advisor for my full (very full) review, but the most important thing is that this place is exquisite, and you should book now.
WOW! Loved it!
As soon as you arrive at this fantastic villa, you just feel at home. Perched above the road, it is totally private and secluded with panoramic views of the mountains and the sea beyond. It is beautifully styled and appointed throughout and you will want for nothing. There are numerous areas to relax in both sun and shade and the pool is a welcome relief when it gets too hot. A short walk takes you down to the pretty village of Agia Effimia, where you will find many restaurants, bars and a few shops. Even here there is a wonderfully relaxed up-market atmosphere about the place and you don't get the feeling that it has been ruined by tourism – maybe because of all the very expensive yachts in the harbour! Make sure you hire one of the small day boats from Boulevard boats and explore the surrounding coastline from the water – well worth it! I cannot praise Roz Villa highly enough as it is just about as perfect as you could get for a family holiday – we will be returning soon! Thanks Vicky.

Perfect Private Peaceful getaway
A really beautiful Villa. Decorated very nicely. Great gardens with secluded terraces. Completely private, not over looked by anyone. Brilliant sized pool. Great location for visiting the island, Fiskcardo and Assos and hour, 10 minute walk into port and 10 min drive to stunning local beaches. We highly recommend this villa, amazing value and really friendly helpfl owners.
Special interest holidays:
Apart from the fabulous opportunities for water based sport, including scuba diving, yachting and swimming in the summer, during the off-season periods (March-April and October-November) there are a variety of outdoor activities that can be used as a basis for special interest holidays for horse trekking, walking, bird watching, painting and photography. This makes Roz Villa an ideal base for nature lovers and out-door activities.
A 15 minute drive west of Roz Villa is Myrtos Beach - voted one of the top ten beaches in the world. 25 minutes to the east of the villa is Anti Samos Beach - the location for part of the film set of Captain Corelli's Mandolin - an ideal place for snorkelling. Within and just outside Agia Efimia there are numerous small beaches and coves, while near the village of Karavomilos (2km outside Sami) is the precipitous Melissani Cave.
Kefalonia Airport is approximately 40km from Roz Villa, while the port of Sami, which offers car ferries links to the mainland and to Italy, is 10km from the villa. To fully enjoy what Kefalonia has to offer it is essential to hire a car - we can arrange for your use a hired car to be collected/dropped off at the airport. Taxi rate to/from airport/villa is approximately 50 Euros.
Kefalonia Airport is approximately one hour's drive from Roz Villa. Sami port is 15 mins drive. Recommended places to visit (with distances from Roz Villa) include: Argostoli (30km), Assos (10 km), Fiskardo (30 km), Skala (40km) and Poros (30km).
Agia Efimia has several supermarkets, two bakeries, a post office, a chemist, a cash point, numerous tavernas, bars and coffee bars. One can hire cars and mopeds and motorboats in the village and book tennis courts and scuba diving lessons. The municipality of Pylaros, in which Agia Efimia is located, offers numerous enchanting walks both in the valley and the surrounding mountains with breathtaking views and wonderful varieties of flora and fauna. Local villages, such as Makriotika and Drakapoulata, offer an insight into unspoilt Greek rural life and numerous buildings and sites of historical interest. We recommend a trip to Mount Enos, Kefalonias highest mountain, to enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Kefalonia and other Ionian Islands. Stop for some local wine-tasting at the village of Frangata. Follow the dramatic cliff and mountain road to Myrtos Beach, then wind down in the atmospheric little harbour of Assos. Take a boat trip from Sami across to nearby Ithaca or take the twice-daily boat trip from Fiscardo to explore Lefkas. Explore the fishing port of Fiskardo for its smart yachts and charming narrow streets of Venetian-style houses. Native to Kefalonia are some of the best beaches in Greece. Hire a small boat and spend the day visiting tiny isolated beaches and coves all along the pretty coastline. Drive along the main coastal road to Sami and stumble across small scattered beaches amongst the rocks.
Much of the busy nightlife in Kefalonia is concentrated in the main town of Argostoli. The central square is lined with many restaurants, cafes and bars.
In Kefalonia you will find an abundance of spectacular scenery, traditional tavernas, stunning white beaches and warm, friendly Greek hospitality.
