Nice, clean, spacious apartment

Overall we were very happy with our stay in the apartment. It is spacious with a large balcony and a nice (restricted) sea view. It's a comfortable apartment and felt like home throughout our stay which is always a good sign.

The furniture is plentiful and comfortable. The TV worked fine with a few UK channels which was good. The bathroom was clean with a nice shower and bath. The bedroom was a good size, the bed itself was not as large as I would usually like but it was comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking although there were a couple of things not working as expected (e.g. the toaster, but that wasn't a deal-breaker in any way as we used the grill).

It is better value to book through this site than if you book directly with the resort however the compromise is that the apartment is not cleaned during your stay and there is very little provided in the apartment upon your arrival (e.g. no water or milk). This wasn't a problem for us as we were aware of this beforehand and the apartment is well equipped with tools for DIY cleaning.

A useful hint for your stay, take some dishwasher tablets, bin bags, shopping bags and washing powder as the facilitates are available but these components are not provided. Similarly there are no toiletries or cleaning products provided so either take them with you or buy them upon arrival. It is very close to two small but well stocked supermarkets.

It is also very well located for the beach, restaurants and bars. The town is a quiet and peaceful place so if you're looking for some late night fun then you'll need to get to Lagos which is relatively close by. Lagos is also worth a visit during the day and is easily reached by bus.

The one thing I would suggest for the owner is to provide a welcome pack with information on some practical items such as the bin location, towel rental, resort rules and opening hours of the pool/spa/gym etc. We figured it out but it would have been good to have this information to hand. Upon check-in the staff provided very little information due to booking directly with the owner. The staff were friendly and helpful when asked questions but they did not offer as much guidance as I heard given to resort visitors.

We look forward to another visit in the future.

Serviced apartment without any service

So what the rental description doesn't tell you is that there is no service at this apartment. That means no fresh linens, extra towels or toilet paper, and certainly no complimentary toiletries. What you see is literally what you get. If you want to do laundry, you have no where to hand your wet clothes (unless you're ok with using the balcony railing); and expect to wash dishes, there's a dishwasher, but no dishwasher soap.

Fantastic appartment!!perfect for family's.

My young family stayed at Julian's appartment for 8 days and it was really home from home the appartment is perfect with everything you could possibly need from massive balcony, to a huge lounge area with a pull out bed if needed . To be honnest I could not fault the owner of this appartment he actually bought a brand new cot and high chair for my 17 moth old baby to use I found the owner could not do enough to make sure our holiday was perfect. Its absolutely perfect for young family's The complex it's set in isn't to big either some can be way to big with to much going on , it's lovely and quiet with 3 pools,a sauna jacuzzi bars restaurant, plenty of places to eat and drink outside of the appartment and the people hear are very friendly . it is so clean and safe hear every gate has a key code to get back inside the grounds and security cameras everywhere . My daughter absolutely loved it hear and I will 100% be back thank you for the perfect holiday stay Julian!!!!!

Lovely place, great apartments and super services

I will never tire of Praia da Luz, its a beautiful bay, and its so near to Lagos, a wonderful town. Estrela da Luz is near to all the best bits of Luz, plus its got superb services within the complex. The apartment was marvelous with good space and comfort, it was well maintained and clean and had a great view from the large balcony. I can highly recommend this destination for many reasons, especially if you want a relaxing holiday and want to access a beach and a swimming facility, together with closeness to shops and restaurants. Even in low season it can offer a great deal and the Hugo Beatty restaurant in the complex offers excellent service and good value food. Personally this is one of the best places not only in Portugal, but probably the most perfect restful and undemanding holiday you could find anywhere, but it may be too relaxing and restful for some. However in high season the beach does offer plenty of water sport activities for the adventurous and theres golf thats easy to access too within a few miles.

I'm bound to be going back, and at any time.

Amazing apartment...home from home luxuries !!

My friend and I are just back from a fabulous week in Estrela da Luz, we were simply blown away with this apartment it far exceeded our expectations ( we have always used Owners Direct ) so spacious, clean, tastefully furnished and the huge balcony was a very big plus and we had the sun on the balcony all day which made it very difficult to leave Complex perfect, very safe, lots of sunbeds although we did visit the beach most days as so close. I would say less than a 10 minute walk. Good Supermarket close by and the food from the Baptiste deli was simply to die for ..Many lovely restaurants, including those at the Complex itself. Could go on but actually we would suggest that you go on line and book it up for yourself..Huge Thankyou to Julian Dalby who was so helpful with the booking process, we will definately return :)
