I agree with the previous review in that the photographs needs updating as the garden is very pretty with established flowering plants - especially the night scented jasmine. Regarding the outside we were very disappointed at being informed there were no sun loungers or chair cushions (outside). Yes, there were 2 hammocks, but it's not the same as lying outstretched on a sun lounger. The pool was on the small side too. That being said the inside of the villa was lovely; high ceilings and rooms very good sizes. Kitchen was very well equipped (the sharpest knives I've ever had in a rental property!). Deon was very good and even left us his phone with all necessary numbers entered. We had a problem with the remote control for the gate, but Deon rectified that immediately - it just needed a new battery. A car is definitely recommended due to the location, plus there aren't many pavements just water drainage channels at the sides of the roads. There are quite a few restaurants now closed. The closest to the property is Café Mia (closed Monday and Tuesday), not the greatest of menus and the daily specials not that exciting (too many pasta dishes with little sauce - yes, it is an Italian restaurant, but not top class quality). We ended up going to Café Coco Restaurant (turn right off Milford Road towards Pigeon Point and take the first turning left, restaurant is on your right opposite the Roti Bar). Basils on Shirvan Road was of similar price and their food ok, but vegies were colder than their beer.

All in all a lovely property of good proportions and well equipped.

A piece of Paradise in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Where can I start about describing our stay at this beautiful villa, first off the picture in the ad doesn't do the the property justice, it probably needs to be updated. The villa is surrounded by a few fruit trees, plants and is professionally landscaped with flowers, and at night time it smells of the flower Lady of the Night.

We were a group of six, and felt right at home staying at this villa with more than enough space to accommodate us. The vibe of the place was one of warmth and comfort from the get go, in all honesty we could have spent entire week at the villa with no need to go anywhere else!

Everything is in close proximity, beautiful beaches(closest along Shirvan Rd), shops, banks, mall, the airport all about 5-10 min away by car( a car is recommended), as these amenities aren't far away but not really walking distance.

The manager of the place, Deon, was also very helpful in getting us from the airport and always a phone call away whenever we needed extra assistance or finding out about the island.

I would definitely recommend this villa to whomsoever is looking for quiet getaway in Tobago which is also not far from major activities.

Special interest holidays:

There are many special things to see and do in Tobago, you will find that two weeks to do them all is not enough. The Rain Forrest there are at least four great treks in the rain forest. Diving, Tobago has at least 5 good diving schools that cater for the first time diver to the expert diver, also off the coast is one of the worlds larges brain corral. If diving is not your thing you may wish to have a go at snorkelling, or deep sea fishing. You can also charter a catamaran for a days sailing or a glass bottom boat to the reef.

Many of the best beaches from the villa are less than a 5-10 min drive from the villa, the nearest to walk to is Great Courland Bay (also known) as Grange Bay.

Crown Point International airport is less than 10 minuets drive. Car hire is recommended although not necessity, we can provide a reliable and efficient hire car company at very favourable rates for jeep, people carrier or car. Driving in Tobago is on the same side of the road as UK. Airport collection can be arranged and we can arrange for a food pack to be available upon you arrival if necessary. Following airlines fly direct from Gatwick to Tobago British Airways & Virgin. Or Via New York.

Local and International restaurants are about 1 mile. Mini Market, internet cafe and international supermarket 2 mile, The Capitol of Scarborough is 8 miles.
