Originally owned by the Earl of Dartmouth and situated in the Georgian market town of Olney, there are records dating back to 1745. A spacious and comfortable, stone built property, it can sleep up to 13 people. Olney is one of the most sought after destinations in North Buckinghamshire, located in the middle of England. The house is handily set along a main road just 20 mins from junction 14 of the M1 making London very accessible. Olney itself has tearooms, restaurants, pubs, antique shops, boutiques & the William and Cowper Museum - all are within easy walking distance of the property. A few minutes drive leads to Woburn Abbey, Castle Ashby and Bletchley Park. There is plenty to keep the children entertained from Gullivers World to Whipsnade Zoo. For the more energetic, there are vast areas of walking and cycling country, including Salcey Forest & Emberton Park. Milton Keynes offers a different experience with its cinemas, shopping, theatre & alternative sports.

Oxford and Cambridge both 1 hour 15 minutes drive. London 45 minutes by train from Miton Keynes station and approximately the same by car using the M1 motorway. Birmingham about the same distance as London. Whipsnade 25 minutes. Woburn and Castle Ashby 20 minutes. Buckingham 25 minutes. Bedford 20 minutes. Silverstone 30 minutes.

Notes on accommodation: The owner's home is close by, should guests require any emergency assistance or advice. For bookings of 2 weeks or longer the house will be serviced weekly to include a change of linen and towels. Please note the house sleeps up to 13 occupants maximum. An extra charge of £75 per additional person, per weekend, will be payable, over this number. The house is no smoking and no animals are permitted. If you fail to arrive by midnight on the arrival day of your rental period you must let us know if you will instead be arriving the next day otherwise we will treat your booking as cancelled. Outside: The large, mature, south facing, stone-walled garden is enclosed, and it's beautiful aspects may be enjoyed in all types of weather when dining or relaxing on the large verandah, which is attached to the house. The garden in January and February is a mass of crocuses and snowdrops and then changes, with many different flowers, through the seasons. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble drier, freezer, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided and are changed weekly. The property is cleaned weekly. These services can be provided more regularly by negotiation. Just like you all at home, the central heating is turned off in May, June, July and August. Other: Spacious entrance hall. Covered verandah with tables, chairs and gas barbecue (in summer season). Dry and secure outhouse for bicycles, pushchairs etc. Parking for 4 cars on driveway.
