Set in one of the friendliest villages in Cyprus with stunning views of the coastline. A huge 10 metre by 5 metre pool is a feature as are the large grounds and verandas. The private rear balcony has a large pergola for shade and there are plenty of areas to catch the sun with sunloungers, garden furniture and a BBQ all provided. Satellite TV will give you a range of 40 odd programmes including English TV- films - news - sports. And there is air-conditioning and central heating (for the winter) provided in with the price. Paphos airport is a 20 minute drive away and there are two championship golf courses within a 10 minute drive. The house is managed by a local couple who are really helpful, but never intrusive, and a booklet is on site with advice including the best tavernas etc. The villa has internet access which is activated by collecting your password from the internet cafe which is a few minutes away by the village square. There is a secure safe for your valuables.
My wife and I and our two kids live in Solihull in England.
We have always visited Cyprus and i used to live on the Island when my Dad served here in the forces. We lived in Limassol when he was in the forces and we used to holiday in that area until about 12 years ago. What changed things for us was when i walked across the Island in 10 days and at the end of one particularly hot and dusty day i had to walk up a hill, (not a welcome proposition at the time),to the village of Pissouri.I found a room at the Hillview apartments for the night and could not believe the little gem of a village i had stopped in. I knew my wife would love it with the preserved village square, wonderful friendly atmosphere and the glorious run down the hillside to the beach area.
The Owner purchased this villa in 2006
Although i had lived in Cyprus as a teenager, and holidayed there every year as an adult and family man, it was not until we found Pissouri that i felt we had to put down some roots there.
we met a developer who showed us some properties in Kolossi area - we were really impressed with the finish on them. He had some plots of land in the Pissouri heights area and we bit his hand off for one of them. The area is fantastic with the odd cooling breeze in summer and just a 10 minute walk to the village and a quick drive down to the beach. It is wonderful and quiet, we designed the villa with him to get max privacy.
Pissouri is a delight - you can always get a table for a cold beer outside Sparti bar in the square - even on Cyprus night which attracts a bigger crowd. Great restaurants.
As the villa is four bedrooms we chose the bigger size pool at 10 x 5 m. The grounds are larger than you get with a lot of homes. A local by-law meant the developer had to leave so much ground per villa resulting in the plot being 750 sq m - average being 450 to 500.This gives loads of room for the kids to run around in - it also allowed us to create a whole area around the pool and a totally seperate relaxing area around the pergola (wooden sun shelter) which runs off the back of the house.
Worth mentioning that if you need them Jim and Mary are at hand. They are a local couple who have been looking after villas for years - never intrusive but if you need them they always go the extra mile.
Just wanted to say we had a fabulous holiday at your lovely villa.Everything was lovely - better than the pictures.Would definately love to visit again. Had a couple of nice evenings in the village square of Pissouri - so unspoilt - Laura Walker June 2012
What a pleasure it was to stay for 2 weeks in this fabulous villa.
With its fantastic and very clean pool.
It had everything you would need for a self catering holiday - equally you are within east walking distance of the lovely village centre with its great restaurants and there is a supermarket at the bottom of the hill, 5 mins car journey away.
All in all, the perfect summer holiday destination.
We stayed here for a week in October and I must say the house is lovely! It has enough space so that no one is in each others faces! The outside area is massive and has a lot of space for sun bathing, for the kids to play and run around and for games and BBQ. The house was clean, tidy and has everything you need for a holiday in the sun. The only down side in coming to Cyprus in the winter is that the pool was rather cold as there is no heating but we will definitely be returning in the summer to make a good use of it! The little village down the road has everything you need and if not at the bottom of the hill is a supermarket which sure will have everything! Such a peaceful place to be and would recommend! Also the owners communications were top notch and very helpful!!! Great stay :)
We stayed a week as a family of 8 including two young children and two teenagers.. This is a spacious villa, internally and externally. Good kitchen facilities. There is a great pool big enough for all. it is a 10 min walk to a village with many bars and tavernas and a 5 min drive to a beach. The bedrooms are large and there are ample bathrooms and toilets. We had a great time and are seriously thinking of a returning next year.
The beach at Pissouri bay is 3 km away. The beach has all water sports including jet skis. The beach area is lined with shops, tavernas and bars.
The airport is 20 mins away.
A taxi will cost around 20 Cyprus Pounds.
We recommend a car.
